Really did the convenient location. My only hang up is later in the evening staff hangs out in the office and you have to wait to get into the black card area. I would also suggest to them that the ab area be rearranged The stretch cages could be placed in the center of the room allowing for more mat space against the walls. No one wants to be in the center of an empty room stretching. All the mats are kept in the smaller room which you have to carry over to the larger room. Good luck finding wall space.

Because I used a day pass years ago, RYAN decides to not let me try this gym location. I explained I plan to switch gyms, but never used this location. What is the point of having free day pass if I can’t use it to try out the gym first? How is anyone supposed to know if they like the gym or not? Rude as soon as I walked up with the day pass even though the policy states we can use another day pass after 90 days.

This is a very nice gym to attend. Me and my family have been going here since we moved to Houston. There is a issue with many new people coming in and do not have gym etiquette. There is a man that gets on the Smith machine and stays on the equipment for 2hrs , knowing other people are coming in regularly and he refuses to shorten his time. He walks around, and talks on the phone while people are waiting for the equipment. It would be very much appreciated if the staff would walk around and monitor how long people are holding one piece of equipment.

Update: Too many ppl at this gym. I found myself having to tweak my workout plan to use the available eqpt. The mgr did recommend that i come when they arent busy which is from 1 - 2 pm. I shouldnt have to accommodate my work schedule to wo. I canceled my membership smh.
Signed back up to this gym recently and forgot how much I dislike waiting for a machine. I wish the staff would help encourage ppl touse the machine and not sit there for 5 mins scrolling on their phone in between sets. Its so irritating. I get resting a couple minutes but one guy sat on the same machine and I finished two other complete workout sets on two different machines. Good thing the membership allows cancelations at anytime. I will give it a month or so to see if anything improves. If not, I'll pay the extra money and go to Athletic Training facility across the street. I was a member last yr and you have your dedicated section and you dont have to wait on machines. My fingers crossed this place gets better at keeping the ppl moving!

Update 7/17/25 stopped in to do an evening workout and disappointed to see the two gals handling the check in were too busy doing social media and texting on their phones to greet customers, wipe down tanning beds and replace paper towels and cleaning spray without being asked to do so. 🤨😕 After eventually replacing paper towels and cleaning spray, I was surprised to see no effort to empty over flowing trash cans around the gym and at least walk the floor and pick up used paper towels that customers didn’t pick up and still not greeting or saying goodbye to customers. The evening crew needs to do better, I am sure they are not getting paid just to play on their phones and not take care of the facility and engage customers.👎

Planet Fitness Katy, seems above average PF locations. Equipment seems well maintained, nothing broken or needing repairs that I came across, pads all seemed in good shape, nothing loose or missing weight stack shields or weight stacks making noise.

Locker room and shower area and restrooms seem pretty clean. They had One restroom stall with a toilet auto service. But otherwise overall pretty good.

Hydro massage chair was great.

Been here at this location a few times, would definitely come back for another workout.
Staff seems pretty friendly. Also saw a few members helping first timers to do exercises properly. 👍💪😁

on 6/30/25 around 10.00 am. I personaly had a very bad experiencia with the morning stuff srarting with the supervisor name James(useless) he is supose to great everybody when walking in, but he never does, on top of that is a women that works in the morning name ASHLEY. THIS person have no manners and mo educación she was very rude and out of place and the supose manager (JAMES) WAS STANDING right next to her and didn't say nothing to her. I do understand that i wasn't the only one mis treated that morning. I've been coming to planet fitness for the last 4 years and one of those years being this location. It was cool at first until I constantly kept running into rude workers here.

1.Keys were being snatched out of my hand to sign me in and I had to politely check a worker on that.
2.Went in to film my workouts for my fitness brand & was given side eyes, dirty looks, and whispering from the staff here. Now, I'm in no ones way nor am I bothering anyone so I couldn't quite understand what the issue was. This isn't a first though, even when I'm not filming my workouts there is always some type of staring going on and if you wanted to ask for my workout plan that could've been arranged.

I've switched gyms (not due to this) but because it was time for an upgrade, planet fitness is a joke in reality and it is not a "Judgment Free Zone", the staff does everything BUT mind their business.

I've been going to this Planet Fitness for a while now, and it's consistently a great experience. The gym is always clean — equipment is wiped down regularly, and the locker rooms are well-maintained.

There's a wide variety of equipment to fit any workout style: plenty of cardio machines, free weights, resistance machines, and functional training areas. Even during peak hours, I've never had trouble finding what I need.

The staff is friendly and welcoming — they greet you when you walk in and are always available to answer questions or offer help. It feels like a positive, non-intimidating environment, which I really appreciate.

Overall, a great place to work out in the neighborhood. Highly recommend if you're looking for a clean, well-equipped, and friendly gym!

This location specifically does not have responsible, reliable, accountable staff on the weekends. The past three Sundays they show hours open at 6am. I have arrived around 6:15am the past three weeks and noticed other people in their cars waiting. No employees in sight. The doors are still locked. Either hire employees that are responsible or change your hours its that simple.

The app that shows the crowd meter is not accurate and not updated. That is a decent feature but its definitely not accurate. This location specifically has clean machines but they do allow people to drop their backpacks and bags at equipment and wander off, leaving a pile on the floor and others unable to use the equipment until they finally come back from the other piece of equipment that they are using. This is a violation of their own policies.

The gym is clean, the front desk people are pretty friendly. Good selection of weights and machines. Only downside, and it’s not really the gym’s fault, is the lack of gym etiquette by some members. Placing your belongings on the most highly sought after machine (smith machine) and then grabbing another frequently used machine and sitting texting instead of working out while people are waiting for those machines. And not wiping down the benches or putting your weights away 🙄 Again, not the gym’s fault but if you actually need the smith machine to lift heavy (since there are no squat racks or Olympic bars) be ready to wait and get frustrated by a couple of people (this is every time I’m there by the same people).

Giving 3 stars and will bump up possibly later next time I’m here. I’m a semi truck driver and I’ve called them to make sure if we can park here even with all the signs up and said that it’s not a problem and personally never saw anyone get towed. Some random guy in a lifted pickup truck banged on my door at 6am saying I can’t park here and he will get me towed then proceeded to call my company. I ignored him and went back to sleep but just watch out for him because it’s some loser that feels like he needs authority because he wasn’t loved as a child.

As for the gym itself it’s decent but there was a strong smell of paint which I’m hoping that it will go away next time I’m here and the lighting is too white and cold compared to other planet fitness gyms. Other than that my experience was pleasant and the gym was well taken care of. Truck drivers just beware of the loser in the lifted pickup truck!

Exercise benefits everyone and with so many fitness clubs available, there is really no excuse to not make fitness part of your weekly routine. One of the many fitness centers available nationally is Planet Fitness and the one I know best is this one, Planet Fitness Katy, located close to interstate 10.

Planet Fitness Katy is clean and well maintained, offering a large amount of exercise equipment, with special machines to assist with different muscle development, cardio, etc. They have free weights, too, if that is your preference. There are so many machines that finding one available is almost certain. Besides the exercise equipment, there are massage chairs, tanning beds, and more. And if you forget to bring a beverage, there are drinks available for purchase in the front.

The exercise equipment Planet Fitness Katy is top- notch and I like how the machines have a digital readout that counts your total repetitions and the time elapsed when you finish a set. This latter feature makes it easy to time a rest break, if you need one. You don’t need to pull out your phone and access the timer. The machines do this for you. The machines are safe, too, and I like the cleaning spray and paper towels that are so readily available, making it easy to disinfect your machine after use.

Depending on where you are exercising, you do have the option of enjoying a little entertainment from the long row of flat screen televisions. They are visible mostly from the treadmills, bicycles, and step machines, as you would expect because these are the types of exercise equipment that people tend to spend the most time on. There is no sound, just the screens with a variety of programming. It does help the time go faster, and I like that Planet Fitness Katy offers this.

Working out is important and Planet Fitness Katy is ready to help you meet your health and body improvement needs. The staff is very helpful, the membership price is low, and the facility is open around the clock. It’s a great way to get fit and a fitness center I recommend.

Last night, October 4th, my son went to the gym and they stole the key to his truck from the locker, opened it and stole his belongings. He reported the incident to the manager and they told him they couldn't check the cameras and couldn't do anything.

I joined over a year ago and then we very quickly moved away. It was cheaper to let my membership run out than to cancel and pay a fee. I called and went in in person to make sure my membership would not auto renew and then unfortunately since PF has our bank info, we were still getting charged past the commitment. I called to speak with a manager to have them resolve this and refund us our money and was told they were not able to do so. So please beware and do not give them your bank info!

*In reference to the comment below, first- you are not my friend. Second, I came in, in person months ago to make sure my membership would not auto renew and was told I did not need to do anything further. This was obviously my bad that I did not do further documentation instead of trusting the Goodwill of your employee. I tried to resolve this at this specific club and good customer service would believe the customer and resolve the issue, but that was not the case. I was told that the manager was new and there was nothing he could do. This is very poor leadership. You have now lost a customer for life.

Careful where you park! Repeat breakins (read other reviews). I wasn't going to review until today. The front desk staff is unhelpful & unprofessional for the most part. Some are good. The water fountain was broken today. I was thirsty from my workout. I asked the guy if they're giving out bottles of water since the fountain was broken. Honestly my first time here was the worst experience I’ve encountered with Planet Fitness. I had called ahead about transferring club from Fl since I was new to Katy, Tx. Over the phone it was a sure great come in. When I got there a white female told me to scan and go to the app and change gyms. At no point did I even understand her thought she was already pushing me out the way to help a man behind me even though there was other staff doing nothing. I then approached a black man and he was short and rude too and told me to call my home gym and see ask for a transfer. Once I called and went through everything I was told by the male it could take days for the transfer. Let’s just say the whole experience was so poor and lacked customer service I never went again.

This is a great local gym. It is always clean and has a community that consistently cleans the equipment after use. Everyone is very polite and keep to themselves, no one is going to interrupt you or comment, which I have had people do at other gyms. The restroom and locker room is always clean. Even when it is busy, there is always enough space to get what you need done.

Planet fitness I love the program for the children but it would be amazing if they where restricted to certain hours. I have to bypass this location because I can't get to the equipment. To add there are so many sitters who sit on the equipment and text on there phones. Finally feedback is their equipment here is older and no all of it works. This location is at a premium location and I expect it to be the model. On a positive side their employees here are the best and are always friendly.
*Update they are replacing equipment on the 21st of this month! Amazing and my hands thank you!

Staff is great! Gym is Clean! But they need help because, this place needs a major update. There are so many people going here! It’s ridiculous! I’ve been at this location for three to four weeks. At first it was cool, I could get my workout in no problem. But then I started to notice people just sitting on the benches texting and doing a 1x1 set every 15 minutes. Then after about 45 minutes I was able to get on. I work out a lot as well, and will stay on a bench for about that long, but I work out hard and I’m resting for 15 seconds to change weights or work a different muscle group, then I’ll rest another 15 seconds setting up the bench and continuing my workout using the bench. Everyone works out their own way, and planet fitness should provide equipment to tailor to everyone needs. There are more treadmills and aerobic machines. Smith machines are cool but I am a firm believer that squat rack should be prime equipment. The equipment is so old! If there is no growth or change, I’m afraid this place will lose out eventually. People have to come here for necessity, not because of its equipment. I know I do. I’m thinking of trying the one a few miles closer to Houston. It’s a shame, because this gym is the closest according to my daily activities.
