I was honestly a little worried about a big box gym at this price, but I got tired of paying $200 a month for another gym in the area and using a small fraction of the sevices and the crowds. I decided to drop my expensive gym and roll the dice here. Have to say I was super impressed with my first visit. The guys at the front desk(around 7:30p on 11/13) were exceptionally nice and helped me check in the first time and showed me how to access the Black Card area. The gym was clean and the equipment seemed to be kept up well. I used more equipment here, because it was simple and easy, than I ever did at the other place. I loved the 30 min circuit area. Loved the hydromassage! Glad I decided to try it out!

Not a bad gym for beginners. The equipment isn’t bad but some of it can be painful while working out. Take the rope for the cable machine. It is old and worn out and your hands are being hurt by the worn out rope plus the balls on top are indented so you’re literally feeling like your hand is getting hurt at the same time. Same with the hack squat machine. The padding is terrible on it and your shoulders are in pain the whole time. Just needs a little updating. But not bad. The lady working the front was really sweet

I used to be a member at the cooper location before discovering there is one that is just 10 mins from my house! I should have stayed at the cooper location since the team members there are ALWAYS respectful and welcoming. On July 30, around 4pm I was waiting at the front desk to speak to someone about a membership charge that I accumulated on my account, and I was left waiting for a couple of minutes since no one was there to help me. Soon, the worker by the name of Johnny came around on his phone with earbuds in his ear. I was agitated that it took so long before I was attended to, & to add the cherry on top, worker had TERRIBLE customer service! How can you be at work using your device in a public space?? I’ve decided to just stick to the cooper location where I know I will not have to deal with horrible, young people who don’t actually care about their job!

I've tried a few different fitness clubs, but this one I enjoy most (especially for the price). Spacious equipment placement and clean. I really appreciate the 30 minute workout section where you can circuit 15 different machines in one fast-paced area. The hydro-massage chairs post-workout is super relaxing. It makes going to workout a joy!

My mom was ATTACKED in the gym by an employee named Heaven! My mom was trying to get on a treadmill and Heaven started yelling at her calling her all kinds of racist things, shoving a camera in her face calling her a white skeleton old hag, shoulder hitting her and threw her drink across the gym! My mom is a 60yr old woman and a 20 something year old attacked her! This is disgusting behavior! She better be glad the police weren’t called and charges filed!

This gym is clean and well kept. That being said, it is way too crowded. People need to put their damn phones away and WORKOUT. People do one set, then scroll social media for 10-15 min between sets. This delays the use of machines by others. Plus, if you're going to have a club rule of "no bags/backpacks" and not enforce said "rule", then why have the policy in the first place. Also, those who "need" 4-5 different sets of dumbells at a time are also a time waste at the gym (especially during peak hours). This place is slowly becoming the Carnival Cruise Line of gyms.

It’s my own fault that I didn’t do research before signing up. I really liked this Planet Fitness but I had to cancel less than a month in (with a fee) because they didn’t have free weights. They only have Smith machine racks and no free barbells to use. I would assume a big popular gym would have a place for people to do Olympic lifts but that’s my bad.

Review: Planet Fitness Mansfield – May 14 2025 Visit

Tonight was my first visit to the Planet Fitness in Mansfield. Unfortunately, I live in Midlothian, and since there’s no Planet Fitness there, I have to make the drive out here. I do have a home gym, but of course, I don’t have 15 different machines packed into my house. I usually come to Planet Fitness twice a week to work different areas of my body that my home gym can’t cover.

I do everything I can to avoid public gyms, and when I do go, it’s typically in the middle of the night before work. I wanted to test how accurate the “Activity Level” feature on the app was. As expected, it was not very accurate. It was busier than I anticipated, which was disappointing. That’s one of the main reasons I built a gym at home in the first place: I prefer privacy, not crowds.

I don’t see myself coming back at 10 PM again. If I absolutely have to come, it will be later at night when it’s even less crowded.

Now, with that said: the gym itself is very nice. The equipment is modern, the space is large and clean, and overall, it’s one of the better Planet Fitness locations I’ve seen. If you like public gyms and a more social environment, you’ll probably really enjoy it.

Personally, I prefer to focus strictly on my workout. I don’t like being surrounded by people who are more focused on socializing, standing around, or playing on their phones instead of exercising. I come to the gym to work hard, not to waste time.

Overall, it’s a solid gym just not a good fit for someone like me who values privacy, focus, and a less crowded environment.

Very clean! Pretty good music. Excellent personal trainer - Pablo - he works you hard and pushes you to achieve your own personal goals. His classes are great too - very energetic, great music, and fun! He's my first personal trainer, and I hope he's always my trainer.

The machines are in great condition, and the staff really cares about cleanliness and your satisfaction with working out. The staff are all friendly, and most are knowledgeable about the various machines.

The bathrooms and locker room areas are very clean and seem to airways have toliet paper. Occasionally, the hand soap is out. I don't shower there but the showers seem nice and the changing rooms are big. And there's a full-length mirror, which is a bonus.

The massage and hydro beds are nice and easy to use. 10 minutes on one sure flies by though!

Parking is very adequate and the lot is well lit, so if you're a female or a teenager, you feel safe leaving the facility. There are no random people bothering you in the parking lot of unhoused people asking for help or money.

I love going to this gym, and I highly recommend this particular facility! (And no, I don't work there nor was I paid anything for my review). Go to the Mansfield Planet Fitness! Get in a great workout in a great environment!

I shouldn’t have to wait an hour and 10 minutes plus just to use the leg press. Way too much people for absolutely no reason. By the way Planet fitness has more then one locations so stop crowding this one up. Edit: Yet again waiting an hour for the leg press. Plus gum was left on a machine and got all over my phone when I’m trying to go home and watch the nfl draft. The crowd meter thing is complete and utter bs 3 bars my ass. Another edit: there should be a time limit for the machines. Why are there chicks spending two hours on the math machine? It’s not even logical.

Great gym,nice equipment and lots of space at the right hours. My only gripe is that the people will at times mis use the facility by way of cutting their hair in the restroom over the sink,keeping lockers for themselves even when not at them gym and leaving personal items plugged in til the next time they return. I'd like to see planet fitness becomes more aware of how the people are treating their facilities and somehow weed them out or correct them when needed. Overall I love working out here and at most locations. Thanks planet fitness for providing 24hr locations for us.

I Came into this location trying to decide between them and another gym close by. Was told by the Rep they give a Military Discount, only that I had to talk to a MGR at some point to get it. I signed up.

After several attempts to speak with any MGR about this one rep told me "We actually don't have anything for the Military". I even took time away from work to come in when a MGR was around and once again was told "He is away". I was able to resign from the GYM and they did wave my "Contract fee". Still cost me 40 dollars I would have never spent if the staff would have been informed. And my 1 Star is because it's sad PF does not care about our Vets, especially when all of the other gyms in Mansfield do.

I’ve been a member at Planet Fitness for a while, and overall, it’s been a positive experience. The highlight for me is definitely the Black Card perks. Those few minutes of recovery after a workout, whether it’s in the massage chairs or the HydroMassage beds, really make the visit worthwhile. It’s a great way to relax and unwind after putting in the effort.

The gym equipment itself is decent—enough to get the job done. However, I do wish there was more variety in the machines. While the basics are covered, having a broader selection would make workouts more engaging and effective.

All in all, Planet Fitness is a great option for the price, especially with the added recovery benefits. With a little improvement in equipment variety, it could be even better!

No gymbags, no outside equipment, you have to put your shoes on, no video yourself, no picture yourself. I think im going to a daycare not a fitness. I have no problems when i cone to other fitness or location but only this one. You can not do online training here cause they dont let you video yourself, and this is ridiculous. Most of my lower exercises have to take off shoes to make it work better but the guy keep coming and tell me put your shoes on. Do not waste your money here.

This shorter skinny kid, came up to me and was gritting his teeth telling me to put my shoes on as I was using a leg machine. Instead of him coming up to me with a personable attitude asking me to put them back on, I wouldn’t have to be writing this review. I think confronted him about 15 minutes later and told him he needs to learn to be nicer and how to talk to be, okay nodded and proceeded to walk away gritting his teeth. If this is how these employees are going to act, then this gym needs a restructure. I’ve worked in so many gyms and I have never confronted a person with a scow on my face. Teach your employees to be better. It’s planet fitness after all…

Visited today, First time away from my home club, I was impressed at the size and amount of equipment that was available. My only gripe is that my home club usually manages to keep the trashcans taken care of, but when I visited this location, the trashcan towards the front was very full, but not quite overflowing. Just a small thing that seemed out of place.

Also, several machines (5ish) had out of order signs, which was different. But they had duplicates of everything so that was not an issue

I was working out yesterday.
I was doing a running exercise.
But suddenly, I was exercising and I couldn't breathe.
So I stopped exercising. I was trying to breathe, but I wasn't breathing too much.
Among them, the employee wearing a hat who was working was just in the process of cleaning and making sure there were any problems with the members, and that employee asked if it was okay because it looked strange.
So I said I couldn't breathe. Two members who had been exercising came to me again to try to water, support, and follow me with concern. Even the table in front.
In the meantime, the employee wearing the hat used a radio to tell someone (I don't remember if he was in charge)
Then two more employees helped me and gave me water and gatorade for free.
I was rather sorry that you worried me more even though I said you would pay me.

I love this planet fitness a lot, majority of the staff are really friendly, helpful, and nice. However, there’s a girl that works the front desk at night that never says anything when you come in. She’s always on her phone or tablet, there’s little to no interaction or acknowledgement that we’re there. This is a nice PF in Mansfield, TX. The gym is really spacious for a PF. The equipment isn't so close so it's not like the people ate breathing on you. It has 6 Smith Machines which isn't the norm for PF.....normally only 4. Plenty of space to do abs workouts and stretch. Staff seems nice .....didn't have much interaction with them. Overall one of the better PF.

The three men at planet fitness were INCREDIBLY helpful today. Realizing I left my keys in my truck locked and running I immediately freaked out, but the people at planet fitness basically saved the day like superhero, and got it to unlock with some duck tape. My family and I have had repeated negative experiences at this gym location, as the entire facility has a culture of hostility, ineptitude, and insensitivity. Tears have been shed there and the staff coldly prioritizes covering up their own mistakes at the cost of inflicting emotional distress on the members. It seems the manager, Adam Gonzales, is the primary cause of the general cruel attitude of his staff, as when asked for help he claimed he could not assist (later was able to pursue, successfully, help from employees at other branches), rudely dismisses members' concerns, and seems to allow and even encourage his employees to blame members for the problems of the gym. Very frustrating and hurtful experiences there. Do not recommend.

Poor customer service. Had a pass to Planet Fitness that, from my understanding, worked at all locations. Went into this Planet Fitness. Got through the desk without any problems. The same employee that let me in later came and yelled while in the middle of a workout. They then refused to discuss what had happened at first. When I finally got them to discuss it, I figured out what the confusion was, then explained that there must be some sort of mistake; this is the closest Planet Fitness, so if the pass really does only work at one location, it should be this one. They said it was not registered at this location and that it was impossible for them to switch it over; that I would need to buy a brand new pass from them and go back to the other Planet Fitness to cancel my current pass. They were also very loud and rude through the entirety of the conversation. I found it odd that they couldn't switch the passes, so I called corporate and they were able to switch the pass in a matter of minutes (and were not rude about it at all).

Beware, Planet Fitness policy has allowed biological males in the women's locker rooms!!! A woman's membership was cancelled at a Planet Fitness in Alaska due to complaining to the front desk that a biological male was in the women's locker room shaving his face while other women and very young girls were in there at the same time! Planet Fitness is located off the 287, and Mouser Way in Mansfield, TX, that offers a judge free, no critic gym experience that is an affordable option to stay healthy and fit.

This gym is brand new and opened in December of 2023. They have a couple of options you can sign up for, such as just paying monthly or becoming a Black card membership where you can enjoy many perks and benefits such as visiting any Planet Fitness located in the States. You can also bring in a guest free daily and have access to the massage chairs, hydro massage, and tanning. They also have 50% off on selected drinks such as energy drinks and electrolytes. To obtain a membership, it is easy to sign up online on their website and download the Planet Fitness app. With the app, you have access to check in with your smartphone and track your workouts.

Inside the gym, they have lockers available with men and women's restrooms with showers and soap provided. There is a lot of cardio equipment here as well as free weights and workout machines. They also have a 30-minute full body workout center here as well with instructions to perform the task.

Overall, this location is brand new with new equipment. The staff does a great job keeping this place clean and provides top-notch service. There are many disposable napkins with sanitizer spray located throughout the gym. They are open 24 hours a day, providing service 7 days a week for your flexibility and scheduling in your busy life to never have an excuse to get a workout in.

Never been in a Planet Fitness. Neighbors recommended it and my friend recommended it (he goes to different location) After checking out pictures, I got curious and decided to check it out.

Had the most odd experience from beginning to end. I walked in asking for day pass to check things out in person because I saw they offered it. The guy responds with whispers and nodding yes/no, I got confused. Eventually I got clear no, even though the website says otherwise, whatever. I asked about membership then…the guy and lady basically nodding back and forth…kind of gesturing “no, you share it, no you share it”. You know like shy kids trying to present a project. That or they didn’t want to talk to me. That was pretty hilarious so I just left.

Not sure what the environment is supposed to be like but if you want to walk in, get your workout in and walk out without any interaction from staff. This is the place.

I love everything about this gym except one of the front desk receptionists. The one with the low ponytail fake lashes and nails always has a scowl on her face and is always rude. Other than that this is a perfect gym

I went to 24-hour fitness for years, but as soon as this new PF site opened, I never went back as this is TRULY open 24 hours. Everything is brand new, the place is clean, well maintained and the staff is nice. The only issue I have is lack of proper bench presses and squat racks, but I'm still able to get a good workout in. I got the black card membership as it allows me to bring a guest as well as using any of their other facilities when traveling.

My friend and I love to do the circuit training room at Mansfield Planet Fitness, and we have loved the staff. However, it is difficult to complete the circuit when there are people who don’t seem to understand the concept of the circuit room. It needs to somehow be made clearer how the circuit room works and that people can find the same equipment on the floor.

All brand new equipment and the machines have digital counters and timers to count your reps. Ive only gone late at night but there has always been someone working the front desk. Parking lot is well lighted at night time. A welcome addition to the mansfield area.

it’s an okay gym for beginners i guess, also there’s lots of dumb rules i’ve never come across at other gyms. “judgement free zone” but all they do is boss you around in the middle of your workout lol

I'm sure by now, with all of their endless TV/radio ad campaigns ,that we're collectively aware that planet fitness promotes and presents themselves as many things other gyms aren't. Mainly, no judgement and especially NO contracts, and cancel ANYTIME. Well, I have just attempted to cancel, and was informed that I have a contract through August, and would have to pay an exorbitant fee for early cancellation. At the home of " no contracts, cancel anytime" . Supposedly, I signed a contract when I was at the counter, filling out the initial paperwork, which I was herded through, and never informed of, nor did anything I had signed resemble a contract. That would've caught my attention, being that as far as I knew, I was at the home of no contracts. Watch and listen to the ads closely. Sure they state that their promotion ends at a certain time, but never includes the very pertinent information that your right to cancel without consequence expires in conjunction. In fact said ads seem to only emphasize and reinforce the notion that you can cancel anytime. No mention of anything to the contrary. Ever. As far as the "no judgement zone" , selling point, I now have a counterpoint. Now that I am stuck with you Planet Fitness, due to your deceptive and intentionally misleading false advertising, I will surely be judging you very unfavourably until I am able to wiggle free from your contract, which was never supposed to exist.

PF is new, clean, with functioning equipment and open 24 hours a day. Basically, everything 24 Hour Fitness is not. The place is short of some traditional things, such as bench press and heavier barbells, but there are some alternatives to those things available. Overall, I able to get a solid workout, just hope I don't set the "lunk alarm" off. Does that thing really work?

The employees are very very nice and direct. I started as regularly member. After an employee named Dakota showed me the black card spa, I immediately switched. He let me use it once to try it out. Best part about this gym is the staff is always smiling. The bathrooms are always cleaned. Best part the equipment is always working. There management are so down to earth. I love this gym and I'm committed to continuing my regiment.

Barely opened and already losing costumers. Went today to see if we would like it to switch to planet fitness. We had our gym bags with us because we carry bands and equipment for hip thrusts etc.. like 20 mins into our workout a girl comes up to us and says “y’all can’t have bags on the floor” we said ohh okay and picked up our bags.. while my sister was doing her set, i carried the bags on my shoulders. I noticed the 2 girls up front staring at me and talking for so long and i was confused? The other girl (Jada) came over trying to intimidate us by saying “i’m not gonna leave until y’all are off the floor” very much confused. She said y’all can’t have the bags on the floor and we said the other girl wasn’t clear abt it, we thought she meant on the floor like the ground. Jada was trying to intimidate us but it didn’t work.. a simple please would have went a long way! Cancelled our membership same day we joined.. sticking to our original gym. It was a simple misunderstanding that could of been easily fixed especially since it was our first day and no one explained the gym bag policy to us.

I used PF and was not impressed.. I had to have 2 forms of payment on file a bank card and a credit card..That allows my finances to be compromised if their is a computer glitch or system hack..I felt the trainers made you feel like, if you dont buy their services,patrons who do have priority on certain machines..Bags could not be on the floor, for Christ sakes it's a gym and we need our gym bag..I had to go the lobby to take a call..The machines had limited variety and I personally felt not being to emotiin express fatigue in a gym was rublish..Thus whole idea of calling someone a lunk was controlling and a turn off..This place was cheap and just all over the place..

Not allowed to have a bag with your weightlifting equipment. You have to keep it in a locker and walk back and forth every time you need something. I keep my gloves, belt, wrist straps and knee braces in my bag for use when I need them. I don’t want to walk around like RoboCop during my whole workout. Fix that durpie rule!!!

Very impressed. Very clean, friendly staff. More machines and options than the S Arlington location. My only irritation is that the staff is not enforcing their club rules, allowing this guy to YELL on a phone call while working out. This happened two days in a row. Signs clearly say to take calls in lobby. Was so annoying. But the club is great overall. Enforce rules and I'll bump it up to 5.
