Staff was very nice and professional. The gym aura was great. It wasn't crowded, so there was plenty of space to workout, and most importantly, people respected everyone's personal space. They have a tanning machine, as well as an ultraviolet skin care machine (may not be referring to it properly), and some massage machines as well along with a few other perks. Be sure to check them out.

I live in San Antonio now and I’ve been trying to cancel this membership since February. I’ve driven to multiple locations in San Antonio to cancel since I’ve been told it needs to be done in person, however each time I’m told I need to cancel IN PERSON at my home gym, which is this location. I cannot drive what will be a seven hour round trip to this location just to cancel my membership. I’ve explained the situation in the “contact us” portion of the app three times requesting cancelation and a call back but have yet to hear back but of course I continue to get charged month after month. I hate having to leave such a bad review because I used to really like planet fitness but this tactic of not making it reasonably possible to cancel my membership is an unethical.

Update: At this point I’ve wasted almost 6 hours trying to cancel this membership since early February and continuing to be told at each location that I had to drive all the way to Houston to cancel and never once did they say that mailing a signed letter was an option. However they did steal almost another $100 from me in the meantime and it looks like another charge is about to take place again since I doubt a letter will get there in time, if they even honor that since the story seems to keep changing depending on the location I try to cancel at.

We tried this location a year ago and it wasn’t great, weak cleaning solution and broken machines. We moved closer to here and tried it again today, way cleaner with no broken equipment. The front desk guy was so friendly and helpful. We will continue coming to this location for sure. I didn’t catch his name but it was at 6:15am on this Monday.

Visited this PF while away from my home gym. Very spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly and patient with me since I wasn't familiar with certain things being away from my home gym and needing to use the Black Card Spa. Will certainly return when back in the area!

Shawn at Planet Fitness is amazing! Not only is he professional and courteous, but he does a fantastic job orienting new members to the gym. I signed up at 2AM, and despite the late hour, he was lively, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. He made the process smooth and enjoyable, and I genuinely appreciated speaking with him. Shawn’s energy and dedication are truly commendable. Planet Fitness is lucky to have such a great team member!

As someone who spent over two years as a LifeTime Fitness member, I’m thoroughly impressed with this location and its impeccable cleanliness! Despite being more budget-friendly compared to higher-priced gyms, this facility rivals the best. It’s spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with plenty of sanitizing stations. The wellness center for Black Card Members is an outstanding bonus!

Great gym, very clean and wonderful staff.
Only one thing we noticed is that staff do not check if members who request the black card services are really black card members. This makes black card members like us difficult to use these services, since the massage chairs are always busy. One request we have is for staff to ask members to scan their card to use these services, so the black card members who pay additional membership fee can rightfully use these services.
The scanning is what most other PF locations do. Thanks for your consideration.

Great size, is always clean, staff is kind. No issues with my black card membership at all. I love that this location is pretty new so there’s not a lot of people, even at peak times. I’ll go after work and it’s practically empty. I asked the staff when it gets busy and they said that was as busy as it gets.

Avoid any planet fitness at all cost. We singed up for the black car membership during Black Friday when they were having their sale (join for a $1). That promo clearly stated no annual membership fee will be charged which was part of the promo and after the first month it’ll be $19.99. Planet fitness charged me $53.04 on March 1st. Turns out they charged me an annual fee which I wasn’t supposed to pay due to the Black Friday promo. Not only did they charge me the annual fee, they also raised the black car membership fee to $24.99 (previous $19.99). We signed up for planet fitness for 1 year at a rate of $19.99 per month. How can they just raise their price to $24.99 when we have an annual contract with them for a year. I would also have to pay a $60 fee to cancel. Their website states they must notify customers 30 days prior to raising prices. That never happened. Planet fitness is highway robbery. They are a very shady and horrible corporation. Whatever you do avoid planet fitness at all cost. It may cost you more money to join La fitness, 24hour fitness etc. You’ll pay more upfront but they won’t try to sneak in payments or raise membership fees when you’re in a contract.

We like going to this location because it is new and therefore has newer equipment. It’s also never extremely busy. However, we wish it was 24/7 like all of the other locations. Why they would choose to close early on WEEKENDS is beyond me. The other locations are always crowded because of this. Beyond that, their overnight staff is rude and flippant. Tonight was the last straw. I’m in that gym almost every day around the same time. I came in around 1:30-2 am. When I went to gather my things to leave around 4:30 am, the front desk employee had cut the lock off my locker. When I asked, she said that all locks are cut within 24 hours. I didn’t know 3 hours meant 24, that must be the new math they’re teaching in schools. I was so in shock that I just left. I was also the only female in the gym AND I was standing at the front desk to request time in the spa when she walked past with the bolt cutters. She could have asked if that was my lock before destroying my property. This could have been fixed with a simple change to staff responsibilities- do a scan of the locker room when you clock in. At the end of your shift, scan again and if those same locks are there 8-12 hours later, THEN cut them. I will update my review if and when they decide to replace my lock.

Edit: The gym manager replaced my lock with no problems, however the same night employee has stopped doing her job entirely. After 1am she disappears into the back room, puts up an “away from front desk” sign and doesn’t come back out, even when people are waiting at the front desk. My husband and I waited for her at the front for half an hour yesterday and finally just left. This has been going on since the lock incident. We pay for black card memberships primarily to be able to use the spa, which we can’t do when the employees disappear. We’ll be using a different location until the staff are either properly trained or replaced.

Staff is friendly and helpful but if you come here to tan then you're wasting your time. The tanning beds never work. I even called before I went to make sure they were working and was told yes....that was a lie 🤦‍♀️ the main reason I have a membership is for tanning so what's point? Guess it's time to cancel.

I like it so far, not crowded as of yet but I’m sure once the summer rolls around it will be packed. I also like how the have a rack of dumbbells in each room and barbell rack, it’s pretty big inside. It’s new so clean for now, I know because of the location the hours aren’t 24/7 but I think Sunday should start the week meaning it should stay open and not close at 9. Also why can’t you all update the battle ropes and have the large black balls like the soft ones? Just curious why only generic equipment

Joined black card spa in the offering of bringing in a guest along. Been doing it regularly till one day I was told that my guest (wife) cannot use all the facilities. Pure cheating. Even the manager tried real hard to get to the fine print saying that the guests cannot enjoy all the facilities of the primary member. Even today I saw the board inside the black card spa announcing to bring a friend along. RIDICULOUS.
Does it say anywhere in your brochures or signboards or ads that the services of your guests are restricted? Stop cheating your customers.

I even tried to transfer locations, but you have to have your membership for at least 90 days before you can do that. They’ll try to upsell you to the black card to be able to go to any gym. Just another gym with a scam.

was happy to know a location was built right in front of my job, great new spot. But was disappointed when we get kicked out at 9:50 pm because no one was aware the gym closed early on the weekends. Nothing was ever advertise nor did the front desk tell us when we checked in at 9:30 they close early.

Very spacious layout with plenty of room between and around machines. Tons of cardio machines of all types, except rowing machines. Not crowded yet, but I look for new people to enroll quickly. Location is excellent.
