I've been to one other Planet Fitness in Arlington and hated it, I'm a lunk and they don't like my kind anyway, I didn't think I would ever walk into another one. I'm recovering from an accident and this place is close to my house and easy to get to since I can't drive right now. the problem is the woman and weak mean will sit on the machines and play on their phones. I could not finish a couple of my workout because of phone conversations on the leg press / office. I'll recover and then find a REAL gym.

The gym equipment is the only good thing with this place. The price for the “black card” is a joke. You’re just paying for a guest to be able to workout with you and that’s about it. They won’t let that guest use any of the hydro beds or massage chairs. Like it’s truly something special. It’s not, it’s basic. Save your money and go to Colaw fitness. $7 and you don’t need to upgrade your membership to use the beds or chairs.

Decided to keep coming here for months after the personal trainer on staff got into a weird and uncomfortable argument with me about how bodybuilding and power lifting are the same sport, let it go despite the fact that someone who works in fitness should probably know the difference. Finally had enough tonight after a staff member - and another gym member with help from staff -tried to get into my tanning room, jiggling the door handle and knocking on the door repeatedly after I called out someone was in there, less than 5 minutes after my session was complete, while I was trying to get dressed to leave.

I’ve been to every Planet Fitness and pretty much every other big-name gym chain in my area, and nothing compares to this location. It may not have all the latest high-end equipment, but I’ll gladly take what they have because the cleanliness and customer service are on another level.

This gym is always immaculately clean, and the staff here are the kindest, most welcoming people I’ve ever encountered at a gym. They genuinely care about the members, and it shows.

Right now in the summer, it’s mostly women and older gentlemen, which makes for a respectful and relaxed vibe. Even the kids who come in are polite and well-behaved. Everyone here is just kind, and that makes a huge difference.

If you’re looking for a gym that actually feels good to be in, this is the one. No contest.

I've since gotten a monthly membership and I'll have to say it's decent. It is the cheapest in the area and I like the equipment they offer. My only real complaints is that you have to provide a routing number directly to your checking account (So that you can't use credit cards) and since it's the cheapest gym in town, many weights aren't often racked properly. Now I don't blame the personal but low cost gyms attract a certain... clientele. Not at all uncommon but be ready for that. And so far I've yet to come across any gym bullies and I would think Planet Fitness has a zero tolerance policy for it should it happen.

I will say for membership, do go with the monthly. As those you can cancel with no commitment. However the black card membership is what you are locked into a contract with, and since you gave them your routing number, you'll have a tough time stopping that. Only get this if it's a perk with your job at no cost to you. No massage chair is worth giving a company access to my checking account.

I being coming around 2 weeks oh little more today march 31 2025 in the morning around 8.55 am i enter as always no one say greeting of the Employees .it was a young black man and a white young man like chubby kind with a little long hair little down his ears the white guy look at me wierd not friendly at all i never seen him as a employee the only ones i see a two youngs ladys one spanish and black young lady they are nice and friendly and they say hello and bye at least this young guy employee white i think beacuse am spanish he act different with me or discriminate me in another ways the way he was look me at me i feel uncomfortable today and when i leave the same look wierd at me its beacuse i was sweating after i finish the exercises its normal after 30 minutes and in the beggining that i enter i was not sweating am.a clean woman when i go outside already he start desifecting the doors of the front doors like disgusting the only one who when out at the moment out it was me that was rude i feel bad nevers happen to me i even clean the machine when i do exercises always am not coming over here no more that employee have to take training and manners am going to another gym friendly and respectful and not discrimination beacuse the way you look or what ever

Hope you never need customer service because they are terrible. Contract buyout is also BS because they'll also charge you for another years club fee upfront (for a year that you will NOT be a member)! You figure medical emergencies such as hospitalization and terminal cancer would make an exception but not at this greedy place

Was a member here for just over a year and a week before moving was charged my annual fee. Was told No refund was available for that even though I was cancelling 1 day after it was charged and the fee is for the entire year. No notification was sent prior to the upcoming charge at all. Only a few machines which often times even when it wasn’t crowded I had to wait or alter workouts. Would suggest going to one of the other many gyms in the area.

Best deal in gyms for $25 a month. The staff greets you when you walk in and leave, the equipment is clean and ready to go and the Black Card Spa for after your workout is a nice treat. Plus, since we travel all the time, we generally have access to a Planet Fitness wherever we are.

If you decide to cancel make sure you do it by the 10th or you will get charged for another month. Also the no contract is BS I had to pay 62$ to get out of the contract.

If you want to cancel, do so before they charge you the annual fee of 49$. Cancel before the 25th of the month. ie if your annual fee comes out March 1 cancel before the 25th of February.

Had a quick 2 week stint with this location. Most everyone was quite helpful, the front desk associate, a young red haired man, answered all my questions and was quick to get me signed up. I worked out for about 2 weeks here before the manager on duty one busy afternoon approached me on the gym floor to notify that my gym bag was not allowed on the floor and that I'd have to put it in a locker. I found this to be a bit unprofessional, even though there was a rule about no bags are allowed on the gym floor, i thought the manager handled this terribly. Anyways, that concluded my time at this gym. This same individual also insisted I pay the cancellation fee, after just 2 weeks I told him he was being ridiculous but to no avail, this young man had ZERO customer service skills and I paid the fee.
As a disabled Veteran this gym would not be my first choice. Needs attention by ownership.

This is a great Planet! I travel a lot and use Planet Fitness around the country, this new facility is pretty impressive. I've been in the area for two months now and I alternate between this location and Haltom City. The place is clean, the staff is super friendly. It's smaller so some of the machines I am used to using aren't there, but there's a good variety. The Black Card Spa area is exceptional; they really kept the guests in mind when designing. I even use the guest pass and bring my sister sometimes, as she's local to the area.
The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the women's shower/locker room. In the dressing room you have a hook and chair and that's it. We have clothes and wet products and towels. All that stuff needs to be set down somewhere. No shelf or table. Not to mention empty bottles or packages. There's one garbage bin in the ladies room and it's by the entrance, this has led to trash being left in the changing rooms. There was an empty shampoo bottle in my shower today and I don't blame the person who did it. Other locations have small trash bins in each changing room or a larger one in the restroom area. I personally have walked to the garbage in a towel with my arms full of my shower items just to throw out empty packaging...before realizing the entire club could see me. Think about the needs of women. This is a frustration. Otherwise, it's a good location.

The new location here is convenient and an easy drive to make every day. The staff is friendly, especially with my mom and I. They try hard to assist her even with a language barrier. They dont dismiss her and try hard to understand her requests, and that means a lot to me.

The equipment is kept clean, and we see them really clean/maintain the areas used the most quite often. The gym is still new, so everything is really nice to use. The gym isn't packed as much as other locations. Definitely recommend them!
