On January 2024 I canceled my membership with a manager - today I got a charge for some anual fees ? Which made me further investigate the charges made on my bank. (Meaning they have been charging me since then) So I attempted to call today about 3x before stopping by- no answer. I went in personally to see what’s going on with these membership charges to get a solution with a manager. But no one was at the desk either. I don’t have time to keep going up there and would like someone to call me to further investigate and solve this issue. Attached are pictures for proof that I’ve attempted to call & went in person. Oh and I also waited in the area for about an hour and no one was at the desk……

Cold showers always. No matter how much you tell them about the hot water it is never fixed. If you tell an employee their attitude is always, "I just work here." Tell a manager they say, but how many months does it take to fix this problem after telling a manager? Nothing works to get this location to act on it; not Google reviews, telling management, poor reviews by email, etc. The response is always the same, tell a manager, but nothing ever gets done. It's been this way for months and still not fixed. New equipment; same cold showers.

This planet fitness isn't the best among the ones that I've worked out at. There's a bunch of equipment that's not functional, but they're usually pretty good at getting it repaired within a week or so. It does get pretty busy in there during the day.

I was very disappointed when they reopened after their big "renovation" last month. The highlight was them adding in squat racks. I was under the impression that they were replacing all of the strength equipment as a lot of is older, but they did not. They also kept the yellow 30 minute express strength equipment which are terrible machines. Their renovation was poorly done and shouldn't even really be billed as a renovation.

The dynamic fitness just a few minutes away is much better value in my opinion. It's cheaper and they also replace their equipment pretty regularly. A lot of the reviews say that the membership is difficult to cancel, but it's really not. All you have to do is send a single email to the email listed in the membership agreement. There's also a new crunch fitness opening soon which may be good to check out as well.

It's hard to work out in the gym.When you got groups of people to 4-5 hogging, the equipment and think it's a party town sitting on their phones, texting watching videos, laughing, and talking when you got people that come there. And pay their heart earned money that's serious about working out i think it's some changes need to be made. Because that's not the place for that. You want to sit and be on your phone, stay home I don't look at it as a gym. I look at it as a daycare cuz. It's so many young kids in there it's literally a hangout spot

Gym is decent. My only problem is the shower almost NEVER has hot water. I like to come workout,shower then head to work. The water temperature is ridiculously cold . I ask the front desk the response I got was and I quote “ it’s an old building it usually works in the evening not so much in the morning “ followed by a long awkward pause. Unacceptable to say the least. If it doesn’t get better I plan on contacting their corporate office, because what’s the point of having showers if they don’t function properly.

2 months ago I put my account on freeze because I wanted to cancel but the guy who froze my account suggested I freeze since my year contract will be over in April. I got the paperwork to freeze the account, signed what I needed to sign and they are still pulling money out of my account. The first time, I called and the manager called me back while I was at work when I called him back, they told me he would give me another call and I never heard from him again. Now come the second month of this so called "freeze", I was charged again today. So this is now 2 months I have been charged but can't even use the membership if I wanted to. Someone needs to correct this and either refund my money or cancel my membership with no fee. This is dumb.

Out of all the PF I’ve visited, Shadow Creek is the only one I’ve experienced that stays true to the policy, mainly due to one employee, Jay. I’m not discounting the others, but I have witnessed Jay enforce the culture to the letter. He walks around telling members to remove their gym bags off the floor, addresses members with improper footwear, and sounds the alarm on lunkheads. I know this may not be popular, but I’ve even seen him have repeat offenders escorted out by the police.

Many may say what he does is extreme, but we have rules and policies for a reason. People may judge what he does as making a big deal out of things, but I call it fearless, willing to do your job according to company policy, even at the risk of being disliked.

Leaders and Those at the top aught to pleased to know that they have someone who manages their establishment they way it should be managed.

If PF is truly a judge free gym, then no one should negatively judge Jay for doing his job.

Jay, I commend you, stay fearless my friend!

PS, I must add, he is “always” respectful when he does his job, always.

Accidentally posted this first about the Scott location club, it was definitely the Pearland Club on Shadow Parkway. I am very displeased with this location. Guy working the desk this morning was abhorrently annoying. Followed me around to different areas (or used machines next to me, trying to purposely run into me at the trash can/spray bottle station, etc etc) for half an hour trying to get my attention, before actually standing in my direct line of sight waving until took off my headphones. Just to tell me to have a good workout, which ended up being a terrible workout that I had to cut early with this guy popping up in front of me no matter what area I went to, all I kept seeing was his pink socks pop up again and I'd lose my focus.... This behavior was extremely unprofessional, inappropriate and borderline harassment. I don't come to the gym to be followed or harassed, this isn't a nightclub. My fellow club guests don't treat me this way, the last person I expect it from is a Staff Member. Women should feel safe and comfortable enough to finish their workouts. I didn't get his name, he had short light dreads and ugly pink socks.

I had went to this establishment today. I have been a member with this gym since 2019. I don’t bother anyone, I just come in to workout. I came in every time with a small bag. I like to keep my little bag close to me. I do not need to be followed around or micro managed over me having my small little bag. You guys need to be focused on fixing the equipment and cleaning of the facility. The gym for us to come in relax and get rid of stress. I do not to be stressed out over having my small little bag with while I’m working out. I have canceled my membership with this company and will not recommend anyone to workout at this facility. Whoever put this policy in place needs to rethink it. People may need there bags with them in case they have to take medication at a certain time. You never know.
P.S. The manager name was Jay and he waited until I was done off the Tread mill and had one of his employee come and try tell me I couldn’t have my bag. I told the employee that I was keeping my bag with me. Then the manager came over to tell me this after he just saw me check in the facility with my bag.

The dude who insists on making people put their bags up is exhausting. And the fact that he’s the only one while the others focus on keeping the faculty clean and building relationships is quite noticeable. I get taking your job seriously but there’s bigger fish to fry and it makes people just want to leave I’ve watched many do so after his rants.
