The world needs to know about the amazing human Jaydon who works at this Planet Fitness! I travel all over the world for my job and I've been to about 25 locations in the last 3 years and I have never, ever seen such amazing Customer Service that Jaydon has offered CONSISTENTLY every time we come in. He greets us with a friendly smile EVERY TIME and I always see him being proactive and staying busy emptying the trash or cleaning the floors etc., he isn't above any task asked of him. But the best part? Every time I finish working out, my husband and I use the tanning beds so by the time we get to the front desk, Jaydon is WAITING to push the Tmax to start our beds and he even takes the time to fill out the paperwork on the clipboard for me and my husband's sign in, all we have to do is put the time and sign, he takes care of everything else! Never, ever have we seen such incredible attention to the details or anyone that has worked harder than him! He even runs circles around MANAGEMENT, while they stand around or hang in the office, he is ALWAYS busy and utilizing his time to better the gym overall. He deserves a promotion, his own store, recognition and a raise. You lose him, you're gonna miss him. Mark my words!

The gym itself is like any other gym and has plenty of amenities, however trying to cancel membership is like doing surgery on yourself with nothing to deaden the pain.
In order to cancel you must go to the gym when a manager is there. The manager is not always there. You must cancel before they put your account "on draft" 10 days before your membership is due. This is non refundable even if you have not checked into for 3 months prior. Which they track. Don't get trapped

I’ve been a member here for years but lately gym standards are going down, ex. Yellow room equipment is rusty and leg curl machine has been broken for months, a stair master had been broken for weeks, a leg press machine had no back rest for weeks, and now men’s toilet has been broken over a week. I’m sure I’m missing some things, I hope it doesn’t get any worse I haven’t completed my home gym yet.

I just signed up for this location a few days ago. The staff was nice I suppose but what was disappointing is that they literally helped me sign up online... told me okay im good to go.. . Then nothing. Didn't give me a tour. Didn't show me where everything was located and how stuff worked in different areas. I was just left to figure it out. Pretty disappointing... was hoping to get shown around.

- Lots of cardio equipment.
- Amazing and friendly staff.
- Good selection of machines.
- Good selection of Black Card perks.
- Gym floor and area cleaned and maintained regularly.
-Water fountain tastes decent.
Cons:
- Smaller bathroom/shower area.
- Toilet hygiene is lacking, in Mens. ( Had same caca splatter for 3 days in s Men's.
- Black Card area is sweltering hot which borderline ruins the whole point of relaxing with the perks.
Overall, I would recommend this gym to anyone who dislikes roid-rage gyms.

The facility was very clean, and the employees are really friendly. They're also honest, too. I accidentally left my ring behind in one of the tanning rooms, and when I realized it and called up there they were able to find it and I got it back. This is probably one of the better Planet Fitness locations I've seen.

Everything! the best Planet Fitness I've been to so far, and I've been to a few. The crew works hard to keep it clean and stocked and everyone is always friendly.The manager definitely has things going in the right direction and could definitely handle a bigger gym. I am disappointed that PF took the scales out, but that's so minor.

Be aware, if your card doesn't charge the first time they do not try your backup and force you to pay a 15 dollar late fee. The app blocks you from paying manually until they apply late fee! They also will block your card although you have paid the month until you pay the fee. I have been with them over a year and it's time for change. Shame on u planet fitness!

Been going to this gym for about a month and I absolutely love it!! The only thing I would change is to not show TV shows or news on the TVs. Music videos would be a better choice. But other than that it's a super clean and friendly facility and has a wide variety of equipment to use.

My wife and I have been traveling all over the U.S. and have visited various PF locations. I typically post a review for the good and bad experiences. Unfortunately, this one is rather on the bad side.

On the positive side: gym is very clean, staff is friendly and men's locker room and showers were clean with warm water working well.

The negative: gym is very small and equipment is cramped into the space. There is only one good spot in the rear left corner to put a gym mat on the floor. If this spot is taken, you need to find a spot in the middle of the room or somewhere between the narrowly placed equipment. The gym only has a few resistance bands behind the service counter (only the ones without handles). We also did not see any kettlebells or foam rollers, but maybe we missed those. At least one of the shower heads in the ladies room seems to have a terrible water distribution. Water took a very long to get warm here, but this could be because they shut down the water for the installation of a water meter.

Went last night 10/24/24 around 8:30 with a friend. We walked up to the counter to scan our phones and my friend being polite asked how Carlos (I later got his name from another staff member) how he was doing and he looked her up and down and told her in a super creepy way that he’s doing better now. We walked off but couldn’t enjoy our workout because we were constantly looking over our shoulders and keeping an eye on him.

Paper towels were out in a lot of stations. Maybe if Carlos wasn’t so busy being a creeper and did his job, we wouldn’t have to walk all the way across the gym to get paper towels.

I dont know if it was always like that but now they have "enforced"it. Don't like that since that's where I carry my phone, keys, water, sweat towels and headphones. Now you have to put it in a locker and for me at least is not convenient.

I should have waited before I left a five star review in the beginning!! I’m editing my review to only a one star now because I’ve been going there for a little over 3 weeks and now see a different side to the gym and it’s staff.
After having to deal with the manager over something so silly and insignificant regarding the tanning bed and the regulations that the state has in place. I realized it was useless to talk to this man any longer because he doesn’t have the capacity to understand the point I was trying to make. Thankfully there are plenty of other gyms to choose from!!

Great addition to Portland. Only complaints are about the already small parking lot getting more crowded due to shared businesses & no rowing machines that other PF have. There is a lack of equipment because gym is so popular but if you have flexibility in your schedule the not too busy times google recommends assist that dilemma. Overall super clean and great place to work out thank goodness they came to Portland hopefully they will consider opening a larger one to accommodate the growth in our community.

I was on vacation and was not a big fan of the hotel gym had available. I decided to take a field trip over to the Planet Fitness since I am a Black Card member. This place is a little smaller than many of the Planet Fitness' I have been to, but does the job. It was well stocked. It was very clean and all the machines were in good working order. The young lady working the front desk was very friendly and professional. I was impressed the locker room was also very very clean and not trashed. I was able to get in, grab a workout and get out. This place was way better than many of the Planet Fitness' I have been to.

It so relaxing and no pressure. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful except for one. The gym is clean and well maintained. For the money it is so well worth it.

These people have stolen approximately $500 from me. I broke my ribs at work in January, and cancelled my accounts (THREE TIMES now).

They have charged me every single month since then, and they even charged me DOUBLE in April.

They refuse to refund my money, listen to me, or work with me in any way. I'm having my lawyer contact their corporate offices to resolve the situation. Here's to hoping it works.

Addendum - I was clear about ONLY wanting my account cancelled, before they started being obstinate and service. Now I'm going to take them for every penny I can.

After "blonde highlights" - I can't recall the employee who gave me the tour - showed me the gym, I decided to get a membership. My only complaint: getting a membership; it's all done online. Planet fitness is always clean, the staff is always friendly and helpful if you are not sure about an exercise machine on how to use it they’ll help you out. The staff tonight went over and assisted my grandson in the proper way to lift weights and I thought that was really awesome because they didn’t have to do that. So I highly recommend this place.
