They do not provide enough weight lifting machines like the smith machine so if you go during busy hours you are going to sit there and wait for a good minute before you even have a chance to use it. They need to get rid of the bicycles no body uses them, they just take up space.

On Monday thru Friday I goes to the Ronoake Planet Fitness around 3am to work out and Christopher your overnight guy is very professional and welcoming whenever I’m at the gym. He is always very thoughtful and kind when interacting other members as well as myself, I appreciate his efforts and hard work also his customer service is always top notch. I love this gym but wish they had squat racks and a land mine and a hip thruster machine. My workouts are a bit limited on a smith machine rather than a rack . Still a great gym but I have to mention am I the only one that’s bothered by the fact that when you’re working out, they’re cleaning up underneath your feet or waxing around your bench I like that they keep this gym clean, but it’s quite distracting when you’re trying to work out somebody running the vacuum under your feet and around your bench

This is the most crowded planet fitness I’ve ever been to. I have never been to this location and it not be super crowded. It’s filled with high school kids who are in groups of 2-5 of them and they just baby sit all of the machines and just talk and text, making everyone else wait for them to move. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten to do my full routine here because you’re always having to wait for people on machines. I did almost my whole hour workout and that whole hour not a single bench was available. As soon as someone got up, someone else immediately took it. I’m not sure what purpose letting high schoolers come in during the summer for free serves. All it’s doing is ruining the experience of people paying and who are there to actually get a workout in. Especially when you’re on a time crunch and just trying to get a nice workout in before work.

I am full-time truck driver that frequents this gym from time to time whenever I am not on the road. I love the area and the equipment offered and stuff, but one thing I can’t get with is the roaches I have been seeing. I am not trying to make too much of a fuss like I’ve seen a thousand or anything, but the couple I’ve seen everytime I’m in certain bathroom areas (which are essential for a truck driver) and on the gym floor, are enough to make me think there’s an issue and maybe calls for an exterminator or pest control visit. Thank you for your time and I look to be back once this issue is handled!

It gets the job done. I love that there are so many options. The only downside is there are generally a lot of people here during the summer (because of the teens) and at the beginning of the year (because of resolutions) and sometimes it’s a struggle waiting on the machine you need. No fault of the facility. The hydro massage chairs at the end of the workout make it worth it though. :)

This gym is rapidly going downhill.
It’s hot and stuffy every morning — we’re nearly passing out during workouts.
When we bring it to the front desk’s attention, they say the manager isn’t in and they are not 'allowed' to control the AC, like it’s rocket science.

Four people sit behind the front desk, and not one of them is allowed to press a button to lower the temperature? Give me a break.
Either have the manager set it the night before or let the front desk handle it. We can’t breathe in here.

Also, fix the main floor small lockers already!!!
It’s been months. Most are broken or left locked while empty, and we can’t secure our belongings. We were told they’d be replaced — that was probably six months ago.

On top of that, some people love chatting and occupying machines forever while doing so — at 6 a.m. no less.
Good god — get your workout done and move on. This is a gym. That’s terrible gym etiquette and makes it harder for the rest of us who are here to get a proper workout.

I saw some man with a world's best boyfriend shirt on yelling at some woman who was speaking with the front attendant. The "best boyfriend" l was very aggressive and I was quite shocked to see something like this. She was all the way outside and he was still yelling at her. No one working did anything to stop it and they seemed to be rude to the girl.

As a vip member for some time I have used other location and had fantastic time however this location I went to with my son and during which was rudely refused services included in my membership agreement for my son as guest I said ok I would do the tan and massage myself instead but that it wasn't correct based on the agreement another member a huge man started screaming at me aggressively in front of my son and the entire club all the way screaming at me even when I was out front having kept walking away bc he scared me. The man working the front hurran was telling my son I was lucky he didn't do or say worse because I'm a woman "lady" well I have PTSD from man who assaulted me and I cannot believe this is how this gym is operating and allowing members and staff to behave. I requested a call from the GM ASAP.

Be aware that after your yearly membership ends, they will continue to bill you. I wasn't able to go in person so I sent a letter to cancel my membership, like they require, and how convenient that my membership was still active when I called 5 days later to make sure they received the letter. Now that I called, I get a document through email saying my membership was canceled with today as the date of cancelation. So just know if you send a letter, they will act like they didn't get it.

Joined 2 weeks ago. Gym is VERY clean, doesn't smell like sweat. Plenty of cardio - I've worked out multiple times during the day and never have an issue getting a machine. The staff is professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Initially I was concerned about the location, but I've found ways to bypass the congestion on 377 by taking the U-turn from 114.

Men’s bath doesn’t seem like it has been clean for a couple of weeks or longer. These are pictures of the shower and the privet changing rooms.

I most likely will not be coming back at this location if this is how they are keeping up with bathrooms. Not sure what else is not sanitary?

Used to be a member at Lifetime in Southlake. At lifetime music unbearable loud, not to mention the cost. Planet fitness has the music at a low level. Most people use airbuds so it’s not necessary to have loud music. Overall at Planet fitness a good experience. They keep it very clean and the equipment is very good.

I have been to one other PF and I was disappointed every time I went there. Only reason I kept going is because it was the only one around. Now, going to PF Roanoke was a great experience! Don’t hope that you will be able to actually use the 30 minute express circuit room for the purpose it is intended. I was rudely thrown out of the room today by an employee starting a class. I had explained I was on my last machine - nope “get out”. I went to the front desk and asked when i would be able to actually use the room. Between the weightlifters sitting in the machines, doing multiple sets and/or on their phones, and now an employee demanding I get out am I supposed to just work around everyone else? I was told yes.

While I enjoyed my membership at Planet Fitness, be warned that canceling is extremely difficult. When I tried to cancel a few weeks prior to the end of my contract, support told me I had to go to the gym on the exact last day to avoid a hefty cancellation fee, which I couldn’t do due to a busy schedule. Now, I’m on a month-to-month basis and facing a $50 annual fee because I missed the deadline by two days, despite not using the gym for months. I hope Planet Fitness recognizes the difficulty of their cancellation process and voids this fee. It baffles me why cancellations can’t be done electronically, especially since sign-ups can be.

I recently visited the Planet Fitness location in Roanoke and had a great experience. Cameron was incredibly professional and helpful. He answered all of my questions, gave me a tour of the facility, and helped me choose the most beneficial membership.

The only downside is that the facility doesn't open before 7 AM, which is a bit late for an early morning workout person like myself. However, I understand this seems to be the trend in the area.

Since moving to Justin from the Dallas area, I've checked out many different fitness locations. Cameron has been the nicest and most knowledgeable by far, and this facility is the cleanest and most up-to-date I've seen in the area.
