Wanted to join while in town for a couple months for work. Initiated all the paper work and everything, and I was excited to work out right after. I declined to join once it became apparent they will accept a credit card for the sign-up fee, BUT require a BANK ACCOUNT ONLY for drafting the monthly dues. LPT: NEVER allow any company to auto draft from your bank account. Major risk exposure. (Only exception may be for a mortgage since it is asset backed). I declined to participate and found another brand to join nearby.

The customer service has gone down drastically here from where it was a year ago. I come in and say hi to front desk, and for the most part never get a greeting back. There was a couple of guys here that were awesome, and were friendly, one with long hair, and another named "Marty" I believe... most times that I come in at about 1am the gym is a mess, weights everywhere, drinks not restocked, and they always hang out OUTSIDE of the gym, not inside where the members are in case needed.. It seems to be an easy check for them, seeing as nothing is never cleaned and they are never available when needed.. I just walked out, without being able to use a massage chair because staff is nowhere to be found..

I had to leave Planet fitness and go to a different gym. You can't even get a good sweat in this place because they have the air condition on blast. And it's just cold so the little bit of sweat you can do goes away pretty quick. The staff are always super cool and friendly only had a couple of issues but that was in quite a few months, and the place is always clean. But if you want to get your sweat on this isn't the place.

I have been going to this gym for years, I’ve had a membership here since 2021 but been with PF well over that. In 2024 I had a hard time financially and couldn’t make payments. This 2025 I haven’t missed a single payment and have been going consistently. Now the payments from last year are stopping me from attending. When I called the club and asked if there was a payment plan or split half and half it was a hard no. I don’t ever say anything when I see the homeless people sleeping on the benches in the locker rooms, I don’t say anything because there isn’t paper napkins at a few stations, or when the staff disappear several times during my workouts. I keep to myself but when I ask the assistant Manager Yevonne to help me out (not asking for handouts) it was a hard no. I had to pay last year’s bill to continue even though I had been going all this year. Very shady if you ask me. Now I will be going to Fitness Connection where their gym is held to a higher standard and a no homeless people in sight.

I’ve been a member for many years. What’s going on with the air conditioning at this site???? even the massage chair area was a lot cooler than the rest of the gym -now it feels like a sauna all throughout the gym oh and the massage chairs are overheating. What y’all gonna do about that? . Last year when it was 110° I came to this gym and it was a lot cooler than it is now . I’m not coming back here. And yes I did speak w management- they told me about the broken massage chairs running too hot and there was nothing they can do about the air conditioning. It’s not running “a bit warm” it’s very uncomfortable and hot in the gym. Let’s not gaslight people thank you.

One of the better locations with updated equipment other than the large amount of treadmills and equipment being out of service, they have ample tanning beds (lay down and stand up) but the main reason for my review is RACHEL. I called to ask about their tanning and she was delightful and informative, then I met her in person and she just lit up the room! Amazing customer service and her smile will brighten your day!

Went a couple days ago since i was in the area. Fortunately this isnt my home gym. As you walk in it smells like mildew pretty bad. I worked out for a few minutes when i started to feel unwell. It was a little difficult to breathe in there, i was sneezing and my eyes were constantly getting watery. I didnt think much of it until i looked up at the ceiling when i laid on the weight bench. The ceiling is COVERED in dust. Its almost black from how bad it is. Something has to be wrong with their ventilation system. Should be checked for possible mold somewhere. Its disgusting and filthy. Explains why it smells like mildew in there and why its hard to breath. Some people are highly allergic to this kind of stuff and could be dangerous. I did take video and photos. I also read other reviews of people having similar symptoms. Someone should get this checked out asap. Going to lookup where i can report this bc this cant be good for people to breath that in, especially while working out.

I have been on and off attending this gym, for the convenience but leaning into more avoiding because the more I attend, including with any friend or family member, we always start feeling sick, it goes away once I leave. I am started to guess there could be black mold from the symptoms of this exposure. The gym is very neat, clean and not so crowded when I usually visit. The areas are very well spaced and you never feel cramped.
I got the black membership because of the possibility of getting a guest every time, so my wife can at least come twice a week due to time constraints, with the exception that they can't use the black's perks.

Fraud/Theft: Someone opened up an account in California with my information. I came to the Marbach location to try and close this account. I was told I needed to transfer my account to the Marbach location to close it. That was done. After several months of attempting to close my account, but not being able to because of the staff “having issues with the computer”, I finally left a review with my experience. The management called me asking me to revise my review for a positive one- assuring me that all of my issues have been resolved and I would not get charged anymore. I did not revise my review as I was waiting for the billing cycle once again… And sure enough I was billed again, not only for a single month but double the amount. I never disputed any of the charges, even though I should have, as all of these charges were fraudulent. I didn’t care, I just wanted it to be over. But since the managers and staff that I speak with is giving me consistent inaccurate information, I am now forced to fight with my bank to stop the charges. At what point is it considered theft? Several months of charges after a contract indicating that I have canceled my membership. If you want to try out this gym for $10 or $20, that’s fine, just know that they MAY not stop billing you until you get legal and force them to stop. That may not be a common event, but it was for me. Till this day they continue to charge me, my Bank of America is attempting to resolve this issue. The crazy part is, I’ve never use this gym. Planet fitness management, do not contact me about this review. You and I both know that this is hard facts, your phone calls have not resolved anything in the past.

It's been year's since we last came to this location. We went to one on Fredericksburg rd. Not a fan of that location. But here, it's friendly & the workers are so kind & polite. We met two workers that are normally there when get off of work. We work in the medical center area, when we get off, we come to this side of town, because of the positive vibes we feel when we're greeted by the staff. I am a truck driver and every day I stop at a different Planet Fitness to do a quick exercise routine and continue my work. Today, July 4, 2024, I arrived at this gym to do the same thing as always and with the same style of dress as always. However, in the hall there was a group of smiling girls who did not let me pass because they said that I cannot do exercises dressed like that in their gym. Everything was like a great joke or joke for them. The one who spoke mainly was one who had his jacket to Alison as a name, I will never return to this damn place and Planet fitness is already making me tired with so many problems and arbitrary restrictions.

There is plenty of equipment and the facility overall is very clean. The gym is 24/7. The atmosphere is comfortable and there is ample space. Late night and early morning is very calm and never crowded.

Just be weary parking at night. The parking lot is pretty vast (this is a strip mall) and doesn't feel 100% safe. Stay with cars parked up front for the gym. You have a good view from inside the gym so it's easy to monitor the parking lot.

This has been the most complicated and unprofessional organization I have dealt with. First of all, I have no idea how this location is my “Home Location” if I have NEVER been here. I used to live in San Antonio many years ago. I signed up for a membership in November or December of 2023 online for the Monroe, Washington location. I was told that because of my (210) area code, it more than likely put a San Antonio location as my “Home”. Anyways, at the beginning of April I tried canceling my membership but I was told that I needed to PHYSICALLY go to the Marbach location to cancel, which is NOT possible being that I live in Washington State. I called Marbach on 4/2/24 and the lady I spoke with said “Just send us a letter in the mail saying that you want to cancel your membership” NOTHING ELSE. On 4/4/24 I typed up a letter with every possible information I could give them, and stating why I’m canceling my membership. I signed it, included my phone number, and stated “please reach out to me by phone or email if you have any questions”. I never received a call or email so I figured everything was great, until this morning when I saw a charge from Planet Fitness. I called the Marbach location and told the girl that I sent a letter on 4/4 and I was wanting to know why I was still being charged. She put me on hold, when she returned she said “yeah we got your letter but we can’t accept it, how did you send it to us?” I responded, “well why not? I sent it through USPS” and she said, “yeah we don’t take mail from USPS, it has to be sent to us certified from either FEDEX or UPS, my GM is here and he said we can’t accept it, if I could I would cancel it for you over the phone but my GM wants everything done by the books, so you’ll either have to come in person or send a letter the way we need it with all the information we require by the 10th, if not you’ll also be charged for May”, I asked her why they didn’t explain this to me when I called the first time, and of course she didn’t know. Now I’m having to take this up with my bank because I’ve already done what was asked of me from the beginning, now I’m just getting the run around from Planet Fitness. My bank is telling me that PLANET FITNESS is notorious for not canceling memberships and continuing to charge people by just changing the name of the charge from “Planet Fitness Club” to “Planet Fit” to make sure that charges continue to process after stop payments have been placed. My only other option would be to close my bank account, WHICH IS MY MAIN ACCOUNT, and open a new one. That is absolutely ridiculous. If I would’ve known Planet Fitness made it impossible to terminate your membership, I would’ve NEVER signed up period. If you’ll really couldn’t “accept” my letter that I sent (and made copies of for proof), why didn’t I receive a phone call, a text, an email, or a letter? Instead you thought it would be more appropriate for you to continue charging me. I need this taken care of ASAP. I’ve already done what was asked of me and now I’m asking you to do your part.

Between the two closest locations to me, this one is preferred. It’s clean, staff are nice, and doesn’t get too packed.

Suggestions for improvement:

Lowering the music volume, audible even with noise-cancelling airpods.
Reconsidering the layout to create more privacy between weight lifting and cardio areas, and to improve the arrangement of smith machines.
Improving frequent breakdowns of paper towel dispensers and stairmaster equipment

For it is HE who CAN kill both YOUR body & YOUR Soul,
For it is HE who CAN ONLY save YOUR Eternally‼

This is YOUR call, this YOUR mercy, this is YOUR choice today,
For TODAY is the Day of Salvation,
To those willing to receive His Call to ETERNITY,
For TODAY are the Days of Grace,
Soon to end on the 3rd Day, and reward His saints Eternally,
For TODAY is the Day to receive the GOSPEL Truth of Grace,
Not just with your hands or your head,
BUT penetrating deep into the soil of your heart, your eternal soul,
so that the Sword's Water will yield Wine on that GREAT Day of Salvation,

For this is the Gospel preached to the whole world,
And then, King Jesus will come to throne the earth from the king of sin,
That Serpent, that devil, that Red Dragon,
Spitting out his Red Water at the protected woman with wings,
DO NOT drink this water for this wear is from the Father of Lies,
Just as our Judge, our Jesus, our Amen said to the Accuser,
The LORD rebuke, Satan, Indeed,
The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem, rebukes you!
Our Rock, our Shield, our Redeemer says,
"Is this NOT a brand plucked from the Lake of Fire?"

That saves ALL that are written in the Lamb's Book of Life‼
