Overall a great gym, the owner was super friendly. They do offer day passes for those who need a place to workout during their vacation. A few machines were very different from what you see at the national chain gyms but just as good if not better. Definitely planning on coming back during my vacation to Galveston again.

I’ve been to 3 different gyms on this Island since I’ve been here; And the “TakeOver” 2.0 is by far the cleanest, most professional gym I’ve been to yet with very affordable prices for membership.
The Owner TC is super cool and very friendly, not to mention very knowledgeable in fitness and nutrition. I would definitely recommend!

Very good atmosphere. The gym is clean and very good equipment. They are always getting new equipment to keep their members satisfied. Biggest plus that most don’t advertise is that they are big law enforcement and first responders supporters. Best gym in the island hands down.

I was worried about going into a class where everyone knows what they are doing and is fit but that wasn't the case. TC knows not everyone is starting at the same level and he modifies your work out to fit your capabilities. (Doesn't mean he goes easy on you though)

I was working in Galveston for the week and came across this gym via google search. Rather than paying $10/day I was offered the $30/month deal which was less than what I would’ve paid as a daily rate. The owner is a super nice guy, and had so much hospitality. The gym, in my opinion, is awesome. Everything you need to get a good lift in. Ample weights, machines and was never busy when I was there. If I am ever in Galveston again, this will be my first choice!

I typically leave reviews of places I feel that people should avoid. But not in this case. This gym is absolutely the best facility on Galveston Island! There's enough equipment to not have to wait. The hours can fit almost anyone's schedule. The location is convenient for us personally. And the owner is a true professional. My 13-year old son is excited about working out because of the staff and how comfortable they make everyone feel. And I can honestly say, at 54, I've gone back to workouts that I haven't attempted in decades. If you're still not sure, just go try it out once or even for a week. You won't need any reviews after that.

First time in this gym. The trainer was very knowledgeable and showed me how to use all of the equipment I tried; also recommended modifications that better fit my fitness level. The machines were clean, and staff were cleaning behind customers as well. My only critique is that the music was a little loud when you are in the front. Also be aware there is no AC (which was great for me), but if that is a concern for you I would recommend coming closer to the evening when it’s cooler. They do have fans to cool off throughout the building. Will be returning soon.

I would give 10 Stars if I could! What a fantastic place :-) my girlfriend and I are very new to working out and we really didn't know much about the equipment. The owner took time to walk us through what kind of diet we would want to be on for weight loss, how to build muscle and how to use each piece of equipment. Not only that! But the equipment is well maintained and new.

They keep it clean, covid safe and they're willing to help you meet your goals. On top of all of that, there is no contract and it's month to month. I could not ask for a better gym. I will go here as long as I live in Galveston

This is a new gym. Very clean and new equipment! The attachments are super cool and are designed to hit multiple targeted areas with just one of the attachments. I absolutely love the owner. He's so passionate about his gym. He's a pro body builder and does weightloss classes and body building training. And it's like 3 blocks from the beach!
