I used to love going to classes here, but I’m so upset that just being one - two mins late, I wasn’t allowed into my class and was charged 14 dollars through class pass for missing my reservation. I understand that classes have to start on time, but a one to two minute grace period should be allowed for anyone! Being charged 14 dollars over this is absolutely insane. Workout classes are already so expensive to begin with, and this feels like a slap in the face to someone who used to love going to pure barre classes

This place, all they care about is MONEY….

I purchased the buy 5 get 5 classes online, & I couldn’t attend today’s class as I am down with flu. Never have I been informed before about no show penalty and stuff & today I am suddenly being told that I will be charged some fee.

This is highly unprofessional. I was told that if I don’t cancel before 4 hrs I won’t get the credit for next class.
But chargingr for something like this is highly stupid. Never ever coming back for Pure Baree!!
While getting enrolled everyone in the front desk spoke so nicely & when it’s about some charge suddenly everyone raises their hand up, that nothing can be done!!

Apparently this studio has a ‘leggings only’ rule- although it is not posted in the studio, on the class pass app, or anywhere in their terms and conditions. Today, on my 4th visit to the studio wearing shorts, I was asked to either purchase overpriced leggings at the studio or leave. I suggest they make it clear that they only allow you to wear leggings on your first visit and posting this rule clearly visible in the studio just like they post their other rules. I will never be back again.

Don’t knock it till you try it! My first barre class was quite the learning experience, as it was much more challenging than I expected. I can deadlift 275 lbs., but keep my toe pointed and lift my leg back for those last 10 counts? Let’s just say I am humbled every time I go to a barre class. You will learn the limits of what your body will allow you to do, and where your weaknesses are. As far as muscle toning/building goes, I get sore from barre and don’t from boot camp or HIIT workouts. Definitely go and try out a class!

Pure Barre Sugar Land was a fantastic experience this morning. I have never done a workout like this and read up on the website what to wear etc, my friend who had been before invited me. The class was awesome. I didn’t realize there were muscles I never really used, it was hard but not intimidating and everyone was so positive, friendly and helpful. The instructor, Jennifer, was so nice and she helped me a lot to get into the right positions. It was so much fun and I can’t wait to go back!!

I really enjoyed my first week of free classes. The studio is very clean and accommodating, the staff are nice, and the instructors are easy to follow and understand. Having done barre before I recognized some of the moves and were pleasantly challenged by others. It was not an intimidating experience.

While I’m not 100% a fan of the schedule at this location, I will probably opt to purchase a few classes.

This is my new favorite workout!!! I have done a boot camp style workout on and off for the last two years. I saw more changes in my body in the first month of pure barre then I did the entire time I did boot camp. If you want changes this is the workout for you. I will recommend this to everyone. I have always struggled with working out, motivation, and how to workout in a way that would actually get results. I have completed 5 classes at Pure Barre in Sugar Land so far.

The teachers and registration staff are all helpful, encouraging and informative. They learn your name right away and each time you come, you feel noticed, remembered and welcomed. Several teachers and class participants shared about their beginning Pure Barre experience and were really encouraging and motivating, with kindness. I’ve never experienced this at a group fitness class or gym before.

The workouts themselves are brutal, not going to lie. At first glance, the movements may seem simple and not difficult to perform, but you are definitely feeling every Second of it. No two classes are exactly the same with many change-ups happening around the consistent principals. The music is energetic and motivating, but not too loud or annoying. The teachers explain well what to do and walk the room periodically to help correct form and technique. The class is just under an hour. You are very tired and shaky by the end, but it’s been amazing to me how quick it goes by and all of a sudden it’s over. There’s lots of energy going into it and it keeps my attention, definitely on the opposite end of the spectrum from jogging on a treadmill. I can’t see myself getting bored with this for a long time.

I can tell after a week that tiny, subtle changes are happening to my muscles and body. This is a total body workout, and it really seems to sculpt, not add bulk. There are people of all levels in the classes and everyone seems challenged.

I’m hooked already and will be continuing my Pure Barre journey. Will definitely recommend to others!

Oh boy! Almost 60 years old & this has been the best thing I could do for myself lately. Bad back, repaired rotator cuffs, elbow tendons replaced, pins in toes, etc. This routine is awesome for no impact loads! After just 4 sessions my husband & I already see a difference in muscle tone & I am finally feeling better than after the slightest muscle ache from the first session. The instructors are excellent, they ensure you are not in a posture to cause further harm etc. The best thing to do is to keep going!

I never heard of pure barre before a friend shared with me. This is a serious workout! After the first workout you feel it the next day. The instructors are great too. They come by during class to make sure you have the proper alignment and body posture to get the full feel of th workout. I would recommend to ladies wanting to tone up and get in shape.

I was so afraid and nervous about trying pure barre. I had heard great things but also heard the class can be tough if you are not a dancer. Well I am not a dancer and usually spin and do other classes 5 times a week. Well let me tell you that after my first class I was aching in areas of my body I thought didn’t exist. Those tiny movements had me sweating and working harder than I had imagined. Everyone in class is super nice and the instructors are very helpful. You do not need to be a dancer to take pure barre. All you need is the right attitude and the determination to succeed. I’m in my tenth class and I still struggle with some of the movements but guess what! Everyday I am stronger better and more confident. My lower abs are almost gone and I feel super tight!!!! Trust me been struggling for years! This class works. I spin 2 times a week and try to do pure barre 2-3 times a week. After incorporating barre into my life a little over a month ago I swear the small movements have changed my body that even high impact cardio couldn’t do! Try it ladies! Spend less money elsewhere and make this a great investment. If you look good, you feel good, you feel happier in general. No investment is worth it than investing on yourself, health, self strength, and confidence. If you can take care of you first than there is a high chance that you will be able to take care of your loved ones.

I have seen Pure Barre and always wondered what it was like so I decided to give it a try. I now have tried all their class offerings and I have been enjoying them. It is very fast paced and it feels like having a personal trainer because you don't even waste a second of time between sets. You are constantly moving from one body part to the next and it makes it easy for the time to pass, you don't even have to think about it. All of the instructors are amazing and very aware when you are new. They come around and correct your poses individually when needed. It doesn't take long to used to all of their lingo. I love it!

An intense workout but you feel good after, classes are 45-50 min so it goes by quickly so that it doesn't feel like work, and the changes and reps are constant and fast which keeps it interesting. The classes work every part of your body in short spurts. The instructors don't provide any modifications but you are welcome to make your own and won't be chastised for it.

The Pure Barre Sugar Land location is wonderful! I enjoy all of the instructors and each has their own unique teaching techniques that make each class different no matter how many classes you take. The new Pure Empower cardio based class is a great step up from the regular Barre class that works up a good sweat (glisten) for those who need the extra workout. Since September 3 when I took my first class, which was the Pure Foundation class, I have gone from trying a $99 first month to a 12 month auto pay membership! I absolutely love the studio. The instructors are extremely helpful, friendly and encouraging you on to success. I have become obsessed about being diligent to not miss a class I have signed up for! So I just went to my first class at this location and I really enjoyed my first experience. I was super nervous but as soon as I walked in I was greeted by the instructor, Danielle - I really liked that and it made me relax. The class is really hard but I hear that it gets a little easier with time :) Danielle is a great instructor, she came by and helped me out by telling/showing me how to do the moves properly - which really made my first class a lot "easier" :)

PureBarre is a completely intense, low-impact and fun workout combining barre, yoga, pilates, core strengthening, breathing, balance and stretching. I wanted something that would not be as intense as running on my joints (I am a former cross country and track runner) but would still challenge me, get me mentally and physically sharper after having babies, and grow stronger. I am not a ballerina! I definitely feel the stress of the day melt away with each workout and for 55 minutes, I am just concentrating on breathing, isometric moves, control and enjoying the music. The owner, teachers and staff are very encouraging and amazing! Leaving each class feels like an accomplishment. If you want something easy, this is not it. If you want a challenge that will push and stretch you, this is it.

Pure Barre Sugar Land is a great place to get and stay in shape. Once you understand the lingo and really concentrate on YOUR own personal body movements, you start to feel stronger and look better! You really need to take at least 10 classes or more to really understand what you are doing and then you are hooked!
