I came to Rey because I kept injuring myself while running on a treadmill. I didn't want to give up on running so I came to Rey because I heard he had different approach to training. Since coming to Rey he has helped me work on strengthening the weak areas that contributed to my calves or shins periodically being injured which forced me to stop running. I am now running again and feeling great. The main thing I have learned from Rey is when a muscle restricts movement it is protecting itself. I always believed that when a muscle restricts movement you should aggressively stretch it but that is incorrect because it will lead to injury. So, I want to recommend Rey to anyone who will read this review. He will help you deal with the root cause of an injury rather than make it worse.

After 2.5 years of my teen daughter experiencing back pain after a neck injury during sports practice, we were at our wits end trying to get her relief. She tried physical therapy, chiropractic and everything else the doctors suggested with limited relief. There was always a constant ache. A friend suggested MAT and it was the therapy she needed. Within two sessions, she was experiencing long lasting relief as her muscle retrained themselves. She was able to dance at her prom without pain. After all this time, she's found the right therapy.
Her relief was so great that I decided to try it to relieve my own muscle aches from past injuries and surgeries. My knee and hip had gradually been getting worse with muscle cramping and weakening. What I discovered was that my knee surgery over 30 years ago had caused my leg muscles to tighten and constrict in a negative direction, slowly causing mobility issues on my entire right side. After two sessions, my leg is stronger and my foot is no longer prorated outwards. My hip tendinitis is significantly diminished. It's going to take a few more sessions to alleviate my neck pain from past whiplash injuries, but there's been some relief already. I know that it's going to take some time to strengthen my weak muscles, but am so thankful that even at my age, there's hope to alleviate past injuries.
Our family is thankful for Rey and his ability to help us move without pain again. I just wish we had found him years ago!

Rey has helped me with a variety of upper and lower extremity issues over the past several years. He has treated me for accidental injuries like severe ankle sprain to overuse injuries in my foot and hamstring during marathon training. Every visit with Rey improves my problem area and enables me to continue to train. What I really appreciate about Rey is his interest and concern for my overall well being, we talk about shoe wear, hydration and he teaches me exercises to strengthen target areas. He takes great pride in his work, takes his time and pays close attention to detail. I’ve sent my husband, friends, family and coworkers to see him, all very pleased with their therapy!

My chiropractor referred me to Rey after a biking accident left me with pain and limited range of motion in my left shoulder. Different treatment modalities—medication, physical training, Chiropracty, Accupunture— had helped to a degree though my quality of life still suffered. I was unaware of Muscle Activation Therapy, but having now worked with Rey, I am a firm believer in the treatment and in Rey’s mastery of it. After a thorough check of my strengths and weaknesses, Rey began focused, intensive work on my body, with positive results present after the first session. As the sessions continued, so did the improvements, and even my friends remarked on my improvement. I also appreciated that Rey gave me strengthening exercises to do at home while he maintained a collaborative approach with my chiropractor and my trainer. Rey has an amazing awareness of anatomy and body physics, but the improvement in my shoulder from his work has led me to wonder if he might also be a magician. You bet I recommend him!

For years, I had chronic lower back pain which I believed would be a lifelong problem due to a fractured vertebrae in college. Rey was able to help me identify the muscles in my core which needed strengthening and help me build a program so that I am now virtually pain free. Both my tennis game and my range of motion has greatly improved! I cannot say enough about the quality of care and insight that Rey provides. I believe working with Rey has allowed me to stay injury and pain free!

Prior to seeing Rey I was unable to workout upper body and move my neck/shoulder without pain. I had tried deep tissue massages, cupping, scraping, muscle relaxants, basically anything that was recommended to me. Everything I tried wasn’t helping or would help for about 24 hours. My trainer recommended Rey to me and I couldn’t have been more thankful. After one visit with Rey I had dramatic improvements! He really took the time with me and looked at my body as a whole and how each muscle works together to help find the root of the problem. After about 2/3 visits I was able to lift again (it had been over a month prior to seeing Rey) and I was able to do it without any flare ups. I would recommend Rey to anyone dealing with any Muscle pain!
