There’s a reason why this place has a lot of 5 star ratings ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ been coming for only two weeks and mentally I already feel better and happier! Such a great workout, and even better coaches. Thank you coach Nicole for welcoming me with open arms, answering all my questions about the classes and form, and being so friendly and approachable! I’m so thankful our paths crossed and I found this place because of you. Coach Mary’s classes are so full of energy and just plain FUN! She plays great music and has a great sense of humor. I absolutely love her. So far, I’ve tried three of the different types of class offered and I honestly can’t say I have a favorite because they are all amazing. HARD, and you WILL sweat, but you will leave feeling so glad you came each time. I never considered myself a cardio person AT ALL until I joined this place. But then I learned that cardio CAN be fun! And I love how the classes also incorporate weights as well. All I can say is they got me for good, and I’m
Happy to call Row House my workout home. 😊 The least you can do is try a free class!

I love Row House. The first time I went in they spent 15 minutes with me showing me the equipment and explaining the classes and walking me through how to use the tower correctly. The instructors are excellent and everyone I’ve met is so nice. I get a great calorie burn and it’s a fun low impact hour. 5 stars, highly recommend!

It was a great initial class. Even at age 67 I was able to pretty much keep up. It's a whole body workout, legs, core, arms and heart. Nice thing is that you can go at your own pace if you need to. I felt tired but invigorated afterwards and plan to return regularly. A big plus is that 4 classes per month are covered by my UHC insurance!

Amazing total body workout. I sweat more in these classes than I did in my spin classes. Also, since I struggle with my knees these days, this is something I can do without causing additional pain. And everyone at this location is so nice and helpful. Highly recommend.

The space for rowing is similar to cycling which I really love. I prefer having a group of people to really push you much more than if you were alone. The staff could not be more helpful and kind. I like the variety of trainers. You can get a full rowing workout, or you can include floor work and weights. And if you don't like groups you can come all by yourself. I prefer the rowing because I have issues with my knees, and my posture has improved exponentially!

The location is clean and doesn’t have a sweaty smell. The restrooms were clean as well. There was dry shampoo, feminine products, spray on deodorant, hand soap, paper towels and hand sanitizer. Rowing is underrated and yet it is the best all around workout one can have. It improves your cardiovascular health, endurance, stamina, loss fat and gain lean muscle, gain strength. Besides, you work on your focus and improve your mental ability to stay concentrated. The classes at Row House are for all levels. From people trying to stay fit or improve their well being, to ex-competitive athletes like myself. Young and old and all kind of fitness levels.
They are fun, enjoyable yet challenging ,in a good way. I recommend it to anyone thinking of improving their well-being, and trying out a new activity.

I have been rowing at Hughes Landing Row House since April 2021. So far Ive rowed 1.9 million meters and have lost 25 pounds. For me, its a perfect workout that is low impact to your joints but can be as intense as you want depending on your fitness level. The floor exercises in each class makes it even more challenging and a a perfect combination for a complete workout for the whole body. At the studio, there is always something new and fun that have kept me engaged and wanting to keep rowing. The couches are great, always encouraging and correcting the posture and the rowing technique, the owner and the staff are attentive, the music is great, the cleanliness of the studio, its really a great workout and the experience a Row House has been absolutely fantastic. I truly recommend everyone to give it a try.

I have been attending row classes for six weeks and I am very impressed with the workouts and the staff. The workouts are challenging and incorporate different styles of training including strength, interval and restorative training. The classes are inclusive and participants range in age and body size who are there to work on their personal fitness.
The staff has been very welcoming, remembering me by name after the first visit. They are encouraging and supportive before, after, and during the workout, happy to address any questions or concerns to ensure you have the best experience possible.

I started rowing at The Row House Hughes Landing location in late February. After about 4 months and 750k meters, I’ve dropped almost 30lbs.
The entire staff is always very friendly, professional, and helpful. I like the variety of classes offered and that they incorporate a mixture of free-weights, body-weight, and stretching exercises into the rowing to provide a full body workout.
Everyone can get a great workout regardless of age or current fitness level - you determine your individual level of intensity. Some days I’m not feeling it and I’ll back off a little and other days I can decide when to push myself to try and improve on a particular performance metric (you get a summary of results after each class).
I’m not as young as I used to be so my body appreciates the low impact option!!! I would encourage anyone to stop by, meet the Row House Hughes Landing team, and give it a try.

I never officially rowed in a studio before so when I expressed interest in trying a class the owner, Tracy, recommended I join Row House for a stroke clinic. I had always assumed rowing was all upper body but Coach Valerie explained proper form and technique prior to the start of the class. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to row the entire 45 minutes and really enjoyed myself. I am a traditional weight lifter but needed to add a cardio regimen 5-6 times a week so Row House is exactly what I needed to replace the boring stair master or treadmill.
What I really liked is how the studio is all inclusive. My class had rowers of all ages and fitness levels. We had beginners and advanced rowers in the class. You’re not rowing against anyone as they explained that you row as a team. It invites a sense of community and I really love that.
I highly recommend anyone looking for a new way to be active and moving. Especially for those looking for a smaller studio versus the big box gyms. Row House is the place for you!

I have struggled with finding a fitness class that I could stick with. The idea of going to a gym when I was starting from the “bottom” was intimidating and another reason I had put off getting my health back on track. RowHouse put all of those fears to rest and met me where I was physically. It is a low impact full body workout! I love the dark atmosphere & great music to make it fun & not feel like anyone is “watching you” workout! In a short period of time I have gotten stronger and am noticing my body change. I feel so accomplished after a class and actually look forward to the next class!! I could never say that about any other workout have tried before!

I highly recommend! The crew at Row House Hughes Landing is fun and very much invested in their attending rowers from form and goals to whether or not they liked the music of a class. I encourage new rowers to try at least 3 different classes whether they differ in time (ex. a morning or evening class), instructor, or type (such as their “power class” or “signature class”) before any discernments are made. I think there is something for everyone!

I love the instructors energy, the machines are clean and way to use, the music and ac is pumping... I feel so much less anxiety after I leave rowhouse, not to mention my legs feel like jello and my arms are so sore so I know I’m getting stronger with out joint pain or stress on my body.

I discovered indoor rowing couple of months ago. I got intimidated at first because I’ve never rowed properly before. But, the instructor at my first class was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Now, I am 15k meters short of the first milestone (50k meters). I love it! Oh, the music is dope as well.

I am new to rowing and this is perfect for my lifestyle. I really like the class stats you receive after each class via email. It shows yourbest and average split. It challenges me want to beat my previous score every time I come to class. I have taken 4 classes so far. Each instructor offers a different style. The front desk staff are super helpful and friendly.

I learned about Row House from a co worker, I went for my free session and was hooked! I love everything about this form of exercise, the coaches and employees are great, very encouraging and lots of high fives when you meet your goals, class schedules offer you options, go give it a try, it doesn't matter if you've never rowed before you won't be disappointed!

Great classes. When you are new, the instructor will meet with you before class to explain the form for rowing and what the numbers on the machine mean. Then it starts, with everyone in the class rowing together steadily as a boat, in time to the music. It's quite enjoyable: a great full body workout where you push with your legs, pull with your back and core, then pull with the arms. You stop twice to do weights, either legs or shoulders (your choice), then it's back to another rowing challenge. It's nice no one's personal time is on the board, just the boat's time, and you get emails with data on how you personally did in each class so that you can improve your personal best. The 45 minutes goes fast and you feel strong after! Everyone is also friendly.

I’ve been a member of Row House for just over a year and have really enjoyed the experience. To be honest, when I joined I had concerns that the program was just about being on a rower, which is not what I wanted. However, the combination of rowing and floor work has made me noticeably stronger and more lean. The instructors have also done a great job of keeping me motivated!
As a person that was somewhat skeptical about the benefits of rowing I am so glad I gave it a try!

ROW HOUSE! HAS change in my overall LIFE, strength and balance is unbelievable.
I am a competitive person by nature so the personal challenges I set for myself and then achieve make it very worthwhile. Everyday life for me has changed now. How? My legs are so much stronger; I climb up and down stairs, steps without having to hold onto railings. I can jump down from heights knowing that when I land my legs can hold me.
I try things that I haven't done for a long time, even if it is just getting up or down from the floor a different way. My balance has improved.
I have to thank Coach Ranee for making it such a fun experience. I love it and I really enjoy the time and effort she puts in to every class!
I have more energy and my balance and flexibility has improved although IM NOT were I want to be ill get there!
The trainers gauge your program to meet any physical needs i have 6 herniated disk in my upper back. I am not in any pain. My core strength has improved markedly.
It is hard work but I really enjoy the comradeship of the others in our group. Everyone is supportive and encouraging. Our Coaches are is brilliant - so enthusiastic, encouraging us to extend ourselves and is thrilled when we accomplish something new. The exercises are varied and interesting.
I love Row house! I will never stop doing it.

Give them some stars for the good work out but as you read reviews below.... you must jump through hoops to cancel your membership. I froze my account for 4 months then decided to cancel within the month of freezing but they still took out $125 and contest me with thier confusing policy of how to cancel. Also you will pay if you miss an assigned work out and I went for 6 months and never saw a full class.
Make sure and read the policy....
One step to say YES!!
So many steps to say no...... Buyer beware.

Folks that run businesses can be real nice for the sake of attracting (new) and keeping customers. It’s how they handle those who, for whatever reasons, want to or need to cancel - that tells you everything about a business. As with all memberships, know exactly what the contract says about services and particularly about contract cancellations. Don’t go by what they tell you.

So, where do I begin with Row house. I love this place, I have committed issues working out and staying with it, and the coaches are probably my favorite. They motivate me every single class I attended. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for caring people, that want to make you better.

Working out on my own has always been a struggle. For those of us who don’t want to go to the gym, finding the mental wherewithal to get into a workout mode or routine can take some serious effort. I have been athletic all my life, but like many I have struggled with my weight and body image. As I get older I find it more difficult to stay in shape, have energy and feel vibrant. I know eating is a big part of this, but exercise also plays a part in keeping my body toned, my core strong and my mind at peace. What has clicked for me is rowing on an erg in an energy charged, instructor led classroom. An “erg” (ergometer) is a device that measures work. Row House uses Concept2’s indoor rowers which provide a good simulation of the rowing stroke and provides a useful, comparable measure of the work being done. This has been ideal for me mostly because I want to track my fitness in a meaningful quantitative way and compare my performance from one day to another or really from one month to another. Unlike running, rowing is low impact, making it an ideal cross-training workout. Compared to other forms of cardio, rowing provides a greater range of muscle work. It hits just about everything in the upper body and lower body, as well as the core. Few other low impact workouts, on or off machines can boast these full body benefits. No matter what kind of motivation you need to meet your fitness goals, try a row class… you will be hooked.

Incredibly hard to reach the manager of this location-Reneè. I left 3-4 voicemails over a 3 week period of time asking to cancel my monthly memership because I was unable to make it to any of the offered classes due to my work schedule. Four $10 charges were run on my card for each “late” cancellation of a class I booked a seat in. I left my email in at least two of my voicemails letting the staff know I am best reached by email during the day. I was then presumed to be a liar by Reneè when I told her I left my email in multiple voicemails and that I had been trying to reach someone there to cancel my membership for the last 3 weeks. She then informed me that there is a minimum 30 day cancellation notice and I had only had my membership for 30 days. I told her I cancelled my credit card so I would not be charged $140 for this month and she said she would send it to collections! How can I cancel something 30 days in advance shen I hadn’t even had the membership for 30 days at that point? I signed up for the classes online and I suppose I should have read the fine print...although I didn’t receive a copy of this agreement either. All Reneè could tell me was she would submit a ticket for a refund for the $10 cancellation fees and would send my $140 to collections! Terrible customer service and just out for your wallet-she couldn’t even be understanding or apologetic during a pandemic!
*side note - this post has nothing to do with the instructors themselves. Nothing bad to say about the one class I attended.
