Octavius is an exceptional trainer. I was in town for a few days for a wedding and had the opportunity to drop in on one of his classes. He was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. What stood out most was his attention to detail, he notices the small things that others might miss, which really elevates the experience. If youβre looking for a motivating environment, hands-on coaching, and a trainer who holds you accountable, I highly recommend Octavius at SemperFit.

Having worked with all kinds of coaches, instructors, and physical trainees in football, basketball, tennis, golf, wrestling, weight lifting, running, yoga, and general fitness and conditioning in middle and high school and.the 40+ years since, I've never met anyone like the man behind Semper Fit, Octavius Scurlock. And I've known him for 20 years.
Just look at the guy. He is almost 50 years old yet he looks like a professional athlete at least.10 years younger. His muscles have muscles. And yet he is so fit he can lead a boot camp type workout with hardly breaking a sweat.
He is incredibly knowledgeable aboit what it takes to condition your body to excel in whatever you want it to do whether you are trying to excel in middle school, high school, or collegiate athletics or merely trying to get yourself a bit more healthy to live a longer fuller life. And he can get you there with or without gym equipment.
But most of all I've never met anyone in my life who is so committed to helping his clients achieve their goals and who knows how to get them there. He is one of the most motivational people I have ever met. It's almost like having a Tony Robbins on your team.
Give him a shot. I promise you won't be disappointed.

I started coming to this gym when I was just 14 years old. I was scrawny and weak. I joined with a couple of my football friends to see what this was about and there was the most life-changing decision I ever made. I got defined and stronger than ever. Octavius would do a couple of sessions a week with my group and it was amazing. For any young athlete or anyone out there that wants a great work out with weights and HIIT training, this is the spot. It made me get in the best shape of my life. Itβs affordable, different and challenging. Octavius and Jeff are amazing trainers with different personalities and different methods of working you out but with 1 goal in mind: to make you better. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Update!! Started going back to the gym again now that the family is growing. It is a great feeling that I miss. Thanks Octavius for opportunity to jump in on boot camp this morning. Going again soon. By far the cleanest gym I have ever been to! Octavius is my favorite trainer I have ever worked with. He is honest, hardcore, and his workouts are tough. He is also great at educating beginners and all clients on proper form and workout techniques. I love going to the group classes. He does an excellent job keeping the gym clean and safe.

This place has been the biggest blessing. They keep classes small and clean constantly throughout the workout so you are never touching equipment that someone else just touched. They work hard to make you feel comfortable as well as push you to get awesome results. I am not a morning person but Octavius makes waking up at 4 for 5 am boot camp worth it!
