Slade Fit Club has been such a positive and life-changing experience for me. The instructors are not only knowledgeable, but also encouraging, kind, and genuinely invested in helping members reach their goals. I have some physical challenges that limit the way I can work out, but from day one the coaches worked with me to create a safe, effective plan.
I started with personal training, which gave me the tools I needed to build strength and improve function safely. Coach Becca was especially supportive in helping me learn modifications that fit my abilities while still keeping workouts challenging and effective. After a few months, I felt confident enough to join the small group sessions. That transition was seamless because I had already built a strong foundation, and now I can complete full workouts while adjusting certain exercises when needed.
Coach Leon has also been incredible—always motivating, upbeat, and making sure every class is both fun and purposeful. Both he and Coach Becca bring so much energy and thoughtfulness, and I’m truly grateful for their dedication to improving the lives of others.
Beyond the personal support, Slade Fit Club offers a wide variety of classes that suit all fitness levels, plenty of class times to fit busy schedules, and fun events that keep clients engaged and connected. It’s more than a gym—it’s a community where you’re supported, challenged, and celebrated every step of the way.

As a 76 year old Man, I find the training by Cara, Becka , Keegan and Leon to be stimulating, physical and aerobic. The routines are unique in that they accomplish a workout tailored to my needs and physical requirements. The trainers mentioned know how to work within the boundaries of an individuals needs and limitations.as an example ,I had some shoulder issues and they did Rehab work and I was up and exercising within weeks. This isn’t just a gym, it’s a family. We encourage each other and spur each other on to strength and mobility excellence. Recently my grandson came from the Ft Worth area and had one on one functional strength training at Slade. He was really impressed with the level of training. I joined Slade fit club in December 2022 after leaving Orange theory. I needed a gym where classes were smaller with more attention to making sure the workouts were being done correctly since I had a bad knee which I later had to have replaced. I don’t regret joining and give the coaches all 5 stars. All are very knowledgeable in all aspects of the body and how all exercises benefit our wellbeing.

I became a member of the club at the end of last year and wow--just wow...the experience has really changed my life. I have been a member of many gyms in the past and had a couple of personal trainers, but I have never found anything that worked for me like this club has! The coaches are just amazingly knowledgeable and with the small classes and personal attention to every detail of the workout, I have found myself gaining strength and flexibility I didn't even know I needed. Slade Fit Club is genuinely amazing. I felt welcomed and encouraged from the first moment I walked in the door (drop-in visit and credit to Coach Becca). I am in my early 60's with a long history of complex back issues (traumatic herniation and degeneration), hip misalignment and vertigo - all leading to a good deal of concern (and fear) as to what I should and shouldn't do - can or can't do. I had tried PT multiple times with minimal to no success. Owner and Coach Cara has been a life-changer for me. She combines depth of medical expertise/knowledge with personal customization and motivation. But perhaps most important, a very critical "push" - getting me out of my comfort zone to go further in a way that feels safe. My strength and confidence have improved tremendously. I can do things now that I simply couldn't do before. The gym also has such a wonderful vibe - it's clearly a team of people that care about their clients and care about each other.

This is a perfect club for me. I have basically one on one personal training sessions with their very experienced coaches. Classes are purposefully small for this purpose. Wide range of classes are available to fit my needs and offered at times that also fit in with my schedule.
I am stronger and look great as others have commented.
And on top of it, Slade Fit Club is assisting me with my nutrition needs which ties in with my training goals.

Slade fitness is a welcoming, inclusive, talented small group fitness gym. Their trainers are experts in fitness, physical therapy, personal training, and nutrition. I tried a few other studios and personal trainers in Austin, looking for the right fit and the right knowledgeable trainers and I’m so grateful I found slade fitness. I’ve been coming to slade regularly for 7 months but many of my fellow members have been here for years (6+). I think that loyalty is noteworthy and well deserved. I’m excited to continue with their trainings and hope to be here for many years to come. I’ve found the strength class to be challenging, varied and when necessary modifiable to my abilities. The small 5 person groups allow excellent guidance and attention to detail, I’ve found that with the trainers keen eyes, my form, range of motion, strength and stamina have greatly improved. My other favorite class is the stretch class. You’ll find all sorts of muscles that need some tlc and leave moving with more flexibility and connection to your body. Lastly, they have created a remarkable sense of community within the members themselves. Everyone is friendly, kind and excited to workout. If you are on the fence, let this be the push to try a session. I believe that you won’t regret it.

I have been struggling for years to find a workout environment that provides the right level of accountability, motivation, variety, support and affordability. I’ve tried gyms, classes and even a personal trainer. None of them comes close to the experience of Slade Fit Club. The personalized variety of HIIT workouts, changed up daily by Coach Cara, produce real results quickly. The small group environment makes it fun and provides accountability. The members, who are of all different levels, are so welcoming and supportive. And the owners, Coach Cara and Coach Ryan, are professional, caring and passionate about what they do. The first thing that you notice when walking into Slade Fit is the conversation, comradery and cheerfulness. It's a place where you feel welcome and a place where you can be yourself. There are people with different fitness levels joining in the activities.
Cara, Taylor and Rebecca are all serious about body mechanics, protecting old injuries, and taking the time to explain and correct poor form.
As a senior citizen, I am especially pleased with emphasis on hand-eye coordination (ball tossing and bouncing) and the simple things such as the mechanics of getting off the floor. I just thought that I knew how to get off the floor! Now I have the strength to do it correctly!
There are, of course, classes for the younger, more fit clients. I can hear them running and breathing hard. So glad that I am in a slower room.

I have been attending this gym for almost a year. The instructors are wonderful. The classes help with cardio and strength. The instructors help correct your form and challenge you to improve. The new strength training class is slower paced but focuses on building strength. I highly recommend any of their classes. Speak with the instructors to see what works best with your schedule and fitness goals.

Slade Fitness is one of the best investments I've made in my health. I've done 15-20 mi. of walking per week for years, but have done nothing for my core strength, upper body, and balance. The team at Slade has changed all of that for me. They are the best at not just "modifying" to suit my various injuries, but giving me the moves that work in spite of my issues. A year or so ago I let this review ... Slade Fit is very understanding of my needs and having a program that is personalized and fits. I am a novice at this, so the time taken to show techniques is greatly appreciated.
Today, I can now say with both fitness training and nutritional guidance I am 25 pounds lighter, my BMI is in the good range and my muscle and core strength is the best it has been in years.

Classes are usually 3 to 5 people, equipment is top notch and both coaches, Cara and Taylor, are extremely knowledgeable trainers that adapt exercises to individual needs. Cara puts a lot of effort into designing her weekly classes so that nothing is ever routine, it's really a joy to attend class. Stretching and warm-up starts the class and before each set of exercises, Cara demonstrates the correct form and what to avoid. I started 3 1/2 years ago in my mid-sixties and I can't believe how much stability, endurance and improved strength I have. I also enjoy the nice people I've met.

I came to Slade Fit Club wanting to build up strength after incurring an SI injury while working out after my first pregnancy. I had already done PT and now needed some help strengthening. There were certain exercises and movements (lunges, squats) I just could not do without aggravating my injury. Cara tailored the workouts to strengthen the right muscles at the right pace. After 1 month, I had far less aggravating symptoms. At 2 months, only a few exercises aggravated the injury and at 3 months, the aggravation is rare and minimal. In fact my ‘bad’ side is now stronger than my ‘good’ side. As an added bonus, my body fat percentage has decreased! Cara is super motivating and wants to make sure you meet your specific goals!

When you find the right workout, it's practically a miracle. I just finished the 12-week Elevate class at Slade Fit Club, and it's a great workout. It's just 45 minutes, it's a small class (only THREE people, so you get individualized coaching!), and it's effective. I'm ready for the next round!

What makes Slade Fit different than the other fitness clubs? It’s personalize training at its finest! With upto 5 people per class. Cara and Ryan focus on cardio and strength training. I come from a cardio background (spinning up to 5 times per week) and didn’t realize the importance of weight training especially as we age.
Each training session at Slade Fit is designed to target all the major muscle groups. I quickly realized my first month with Cara, I had a great heart rate but the strength in my legs and arms were very weak especially my left side. Since the year and a half I have been with Slade Fit, I have increased my muscle mass, increased the strength in my legs by using my quads to get off the ground without the assistance of my arms or using a reverse pushup to lift my body off the ground.
Cara, has also challenge and improve my depth perception with the use of Box Jumps. I started jumping 2 inches and have increased to 12 inches off the ground while landing on a wooden box… my goal is to jump 2 feet onto a wooden box continuously for 30 seconds.
Lastly, at Slade Fit we are community of members who encourage each others each time we meet. We even have our own FaceBook page where we welcome new members, cheer one another when we accomplish a goal, have social events or even share our favorite recipe.
I encourage you all to give Slad Fit a try. We only have one body in our lifetime and we need to investment to our health for the long haul!
