I've been going to Solid Core twice a week for just over a year. I absolutely love the quality of the workout and the consistency of the instructors. The workout is intended to get you to muscle failure - so it's not easy. It's very fitness focused - not a place you hang out and socialize. (Although everyone is friendly and there is a good vibe) 50 minute class that really works multiple muscle groups. Instructors give you options and alternatives depending on your fitness level - so it's never 'one size fits all'. There is free parking. One lot is used for weekdays and a separate lot on weekends. Both are in close proximity to the studio.

SolidCore Pilates has been an amazing experience! The coaches are incredibly informative and always prioritize safety by asking about injuries before class. I really appreciate that they offer modifications for all exercises, which is so helpful whether you're new or working with an injury. Highly recommend!

Class was good but the parking situation was horrendous. There is a complicated system of parking in different garages depending on what time the class happens, and even though I followed the instructions they ended up giving me the wrong parking validation anyways! I'm out $12 for parking in the correct garage, with no help after contacting them by email except to tell me sorry and that I'm out of luck.

The class itself is great but intensive. Pacing can be all over the place between instructors so it can feel frustrating where you feel like you can keep up with some classes but in others you’re struggling to keep up. For a class that’s based on counting seconds, it’s wild how inconsistent counts are and 10 seconds of a rep can feel like 20 or only 5. Worst part is how unfriendly they are to ClassPass members. Why bother the partnership if you’re going to gatekeep session slots and block ClassPass members from being able to sign up? I only ever see one time slot available every other day signing up through ClassPass.

Instructors and front desk are amazing and kind, despite it looking like a very intimidating gym, instructor was one of the best I had for Pilates !

The manager and front desk person was not empathetic or kind at all, even after explaining the situation. Left a bad taste in my mouth. I personally won’t come to this location because of that. You never know who people are or what they are dealing with. Lost a potential customer.

I’ve taken quite a few classes and want to provide some actionable feedback for this specific location.
My biggest concern is that the instructors are not trained to cue people with body limitations, differently abled individuals, or people with injuries. If you’ve gone to other Pilates, yoga, etc. classes, you know there’s always a modification for moves that aren’t accessible for everything. I’ve let the instructors know beforehand I have a knee injury that prevents full range of lunge motion in one leg and I will be doing modifications. And I still got told that I’m doing the moves wrong or I’m not working hard enough. I feel bad enough that I’m struggling with an injury, I don’t need to be belittled about it in front of everyone because I can’t perform one move safely. This has happened with multiple instructors and I think Solidcore should prioritize training their coaches better.
This is more of a strength workout instead of traditional Pilates or reformer and it is a fun and good workout and I love the blue lights and the music. But the lack of parking, poor coaching for instructors, and the setup of the studio doesn’t justify the high cost of this studio in my opinion.

Can't say enough good things about this studio and its coaches - I'm approaching 50 classes and I've never had a single bad experience. Don't hesitate, it's a fantastic workout with motivating people who care about your experience.

I have been attending solidcore downtown for a couple years now and absolutely love this studio. Reading the other negative reviews, yes there is a strict 5 minute policy where you're not allowed to join class and will be charged a no show fee, however this is due to requiring the warm up critical for the rest of class. Street parking can be challenging however there is complimentary and validated FREE parking less than a block away (unusual for a downtown studio to do this!) I love the classes and am constantly challenged by the supportive instructors in a good way :) such a great workout!

Unkind and rude: Came a few minutes late to class and couldn’t get in. After waiting and knocking someone opened the door. She had no sympathy and was unkind. She stated she couldn’t let me in 6 minutes after because of policy. But five minutes would have been different….There was a spot, my friends were in class, and she decided to be rude, could not explain her position and was careless. Way to treat long time customers poorly solidcore!

I go to a Solidcore studio in Philly - was traveling for work l so I decided to try it out. It was a really “solid” work out. I saw some negative reviews on the studio here, and I didn’t have the same experience. I also am familiar with the importance of being on time, the policy for being charged no show fees etc. while I don’t love the strictness of the Solidcore policies in general, it sets an expectation for understanding that you need to be on time. Anyway, great experience.

I have never been to a solidcore class. I brought my out-of-town friend, who frequents solidcore where she is from into this location (both college-aged girls, and me celebrating my birthday :/). We had issues with parking and traffic and ultimately ran up to the door 4 minutes late. After trying the code multiple times, the rude front desk employee came out to tell us she would not be able to let us into the class. We obviously made an effort to come. Understandable to not let us into the class. What is ridiculous is charging us the entire no-show fee when we were mere minutes away from the start of class. Additionally, there should be some leeway in an incredibly populated and parking sparse area. Really nice to be charged ~$60 and never have been to a class :/ (teach your front desk some empathy and manners)

go the extra couple of miles and head to the domain location. for one parking sucks and i’m sure the employees at solid core know that. downtown traffic accidents are unpredictable even when you leave much earlier to head to class. and they are very unwilling to help or understand, even as a “member”.

Never have had good experience with instructors, Cynthia was a higher-end instructor, however, music selection is always super depressing, demonic, not the best choice for the flow and workout. I mean, how hard is it to put on John Summit radio if you have poor taste? Also the facility is smells like a bathroom and sewage. The lights are currently broken. Everything is just a disappointment and no one should be exposed to this for the price that it is. Really look into better music, instructors, and a better managed facility. Hands down.

I didn’t not have a good interaction at this location. There was an event downtown (did not know about it) and the garages that were stated for validation either had a huge line or no parking available. I came 10 minutes early to drive around for 15 minutes trying to find parking. Paid for parking, then when I get to the door I was knocking for a solid minute while the worker ignored me, then she finally came up to the door to tell me I couldn’t be let in or marked as there. If I miss a class I am charged a $31 fee which is insane when I literally showed up and am being turned away. As I was standing there another person with the same situation came to the door as well. Given the circumstances and that I am visiting the location from out of town for the first time, there was no flexibility from Erin or Carrie. It’s hard enough to get yourself to go work out, but it’s even more discouraging when you’re met with people who have no empathy for the difficulty and effort that was put in to show up. This is not the place to go if you have any anxiety working out or asking for help. Given that I’ve been to other locations that have never been late or had any negative interaction with the workers, I felt that this was a horrible way to end my night. Customer service and understanding of your location’s surroundings need to be taken into consideration. Now I’m out $31 for the no show, that I showed up for, and $10 for parking. At least my wallet got to work out

My Pilates session at Solidcore was undeniably intense, but what made the experience truly great was the instructor's hands on and motivational approach. Would come back again!

Absolutely obsessed with Solidcore. The best workout you will have. It's the perfect balance of working on your own, focusing on yourself but also having the presence of everyone around you also pushing through an intense workout. Jay and Joe are the best! The way they speak really makes me want to push myself every session. I love solidcore

I just moved from out of state and was concerned I would not find an amazing gym nearby to replace fave gym. I tried a few gyms out in Austin and LOVE Solidcore. As a person who is used to intense HIIT workouts and endurance training, I love a fast paced challenge, loud electronic music during my workout, a clean contemporary gym, inspirational instructors and a workout that gives me a feminine look - and that's exactly what Solidcore is. All the instructors have been amazing AND I need to give a shout out to Kelly! She was my first instructor, knows everyone by name and just is a little firecracker - she will make you feel so welcome! I wish they were 2 miles closer to my house but they are are worth the drive! I go during non-traffic hours! Thumbs up and five stars.
