I had my second class with Jameela, and she was extremely disrespectful and impatient. Please take precautions with this lady it’s not the first complaint about her

I took my very first pilates class here with Abigail Hijonosa. I had an amazing experience with her as a beginner. I highly recommend taking her. She's super nice and will teach you properly as a beginner, not to mention she is also very patient. I'm looking forward on booking with her only, since i felt very comfortable.

Love this place! This is the first workout I’ve tried that I’ve actually kept up with. I’ve been coming for 6 months and that’s a big deal for me! It’s helping me get back into shape after having kids. The people and the customer service are also wonderful!!!!

They don’t let you in if you’re more than five minutes late and don’t let you get a refund.

I got treated very poorly by the woman who teaches 6am class on Sundays, Instructor Jameelat A. She was very rude and passive aggressive. That was the last time I ever considered going to the heights location. I don’t want to go to in detail with what happened.

LOVE Solid Core! You get an incredibly challenging workout that is not intimidating but rather very self-motivating. If you don't take one of Taylor's classes, you are missing out! His knowledge, patience, guidance, and energy is a total vibe!

Will not recommend. if you downgrade your membership, you have to sign a new contract which adds length to your commitment. Sucks.

The studio is great and I love the workout classes, however I am extremely disappointed in the lack of service currently. I submitted a request in February of 2025 to cancel my membership due to me moving and there no longer being a studio in my area. They have charged me monthly since. I have followed up multiple times, left multiple voicemails, followed up via e-mail and no response whatsover from the studio. Be aware when signing up for a membership!!

This one was my first Pilates style workout. This workout is very challenging but Connor was a motivating coach. Place is clean and workout devices seemed well maintained.

Solidcore is a fantastic option for anyone looking for a challenging, low-impact, core-focused workout. The classes run almost hourly, which makes it super easy to find a time that fits your schedule. The studio itself is clean and well-maintained, and while it’s on the smaller side, the intimate space adds to the focused atmosphere. Because of this, their strict no-late policy makes sense—you wouldn’t want to disrupt the flow of such an engaged class!
From the moment I walked in, Maddy was incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially for first-timers like me. She made sure I felt comfortable and understood the workout structure, which I really appreciated. After just one class, I knew Solidcore would be a great addition to my fitness routine, especially to complement my lifting. It’s an intense but rewarding workout, and I’m excited to keep coming back!

I love this Solidcore location. The vibe in this place is so encouraging and fun. Love all the am coaches (extra love to Jade, Vero, Daniella, and Andrea), and they have occasional challenges where you can win some cool limited edition items. For the newcomers, though, I would keep several things in mind:
1. The am classes fill up pretty quickly, especially 6 and 7am on weekdays. Get on the wait list ASAP if you're thinking about joining.
2. The cancellation policy is up to 10 hours prior to the scheduled class. If canceling after that, then there's a late cancel fee. If you miss class there's also a fee. They waive this fee once a month if you have a monthly membership.
3. There's multiple locations in the Heights, Montrose, Post Oak, so be careful not to be confused when booking a class. You can add the class to your calendar from the Solidcore app, so that helps as a reminder
4. Post Oak is the newest location, so if the classes are full at the Heights and Montrose, that might be an option
5. Depending on the time of day, there may not be someone available to answer the phone calls at the studio. May be worth a try to reach the other locations if it's an urgent call.
Hope this is helpful. Let's get to shaking 😀

I love coming to classes here..it’s definitely a great workout and the coaches are great!! My only objection would be the policies. The 10 hour rule for cancellations kind of sucks because sometimes I don’t need to cancel, I work from home and my meetings can be pushed or pulled either way at the last minute so it’s more of a reschedule, move a class up an hour or two kind of thing but there’s no option for that..just a flat out $36 charge smh. I also wish there was a better way to get ahold of someone at the studio. The front desk person should definitely have a phone because submitting a request for someone to EMAIL you back when it may be something small or simple seems really weird. Just my two cents :)

I haven’t gone yet but I just got off the phone with someone named Kaylin (sorry if I misspelled your name 😭) she was super helpful and energetic in giving me the information that I needed as I’ve never done Pilates before! Thank you for making me feel welcome without even seeing my face.

The instructors at Solidcore/this location are fantastic. They are upbeat, highly invested in good form, and generally just really great instructors (both in how they instruct--clearly, communicative--and in the challenge level of the instruction). I've never attended another studio/class that, after consistent attendance, provided me the level of results that this studio has.
Most of the poor reviews I see on here are due to the strictness of the cancellation and/or late policies. If you recognize the very limited space of the studio (which is wonderful when you're in the class because instructors can really focus on people) and that Solidcore is a business that makes money by maximizing each of those spaces, it really should not be a reason to leave a poor review, particularly given the policies are written very clearly. The classes are also very popular and most have a waitlist--by no-showing, being late, or late cancelling a class, you limit the options of other attendees/members who would have otherwise attended class without issue. Just need to take the policy seriously and consider it when booking classes. Not rocket science.

I know it works because it hurts! So far I have only booked classes with Jade and she's amazing-- very motivational and overall an amazing instructor with lots of energy. She's very sweet as are the other students in the class. The environment is very welcoming always

Love solidcore; I’ve gone to about 20 classes and I always get a great workout and I’ve very rarely had an instructor who didn’t explain the moves well. The late-arrival policy doesn’t seem any different from many other workout studios including Orangetheory. Environment feels welcoming and inclusive. The Heights location doesn’t seem to have great parking availability on Friday evenings, but that isn’t solidcore’s fault.

I booked my second class SolidCore as my first one with Jameelat WAS AMAZING. I had such an amazing first class, I invited my friend for her first class with SolidCore as well. I arrived with my friend on time, however, I noticed I forgot my haircare needed to protect my hair from the sweat I knew I’d encounter in class. I ran very quickly to a CVS in the area and arrived back at the studio at 6:20PM. Upon my arrival, Annie, the receptionist told me I wouldn’t be able to enter the class. I was extremely confused as I was only running 5 minutes behind and my friend was already in the class.
Instead of considering that this was simply a mistake on my end as I was new to the company, Annie let me know after the 5th minute had passed that I was now 6 minutes late and she wouldn’t be letting me in.
This was extremely disappointing as I commute over 50 minutes to get to the studio. Not only that but I told a friend about this studio because I had such an amazing experience, and to not be able to enjoy her first class with her was more than disappointing. The rude receptionist Annie still works there to this day... this should've been my sign to never return but I sadly did.
Next came the late fees. With the rain in Houston and then the freeze, I was unable to attend a few classes. I texted the studio and called and received no reply but definitely received the fees. The studios policy is ridiculous and is just a way to make even more money on top of their expensive memberships. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares and values their clients.
This post has NOTHING to do with the amazing instructors I had as they're super great, but the poor management has made this a disgusting experience as several others have complained about.

I am extremely disappointed in Solidcore. I have been going here for a long time, but I cannot understand how terrible the policy for being late is. I was trying to attend class, and there was a train stopped on the tracks, blocking the way and causing me to be 6 minutes late. The person who was at the front desk refused to let me attend the class and told me I was going to lose the class credit because it was for the "safety of the class" that I didn't attend. It's no longer worth it; there are plenty of other studios out there who treat their members fairly.

Awesome 1st time experience made possible by Coach Taylor & Coach LaDarius. We had issues with availability since the class was full but Taylor helped us out so my wife and I could both go in. Intense class and great workout. LaDarius did a great job at helping us understand the machines and workout.

Excellent workout. I've tried several HIT style classes and they are not for me. Solidcore brings group workout to the individual stage. No pressure to be insync or forced competition with the others in class. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a challenging but rewarding workout.

Really great for beginners! Totally obliterating but fun. Music wasn’t too loud and instructor demonstrated EVERY move which is super rare in my experience. Supportive environment! Will be back :)

Solidcore is like pilates on steroids! I love this studio! There is lots of focus on core during the workout. The first part of class is core work. You will use heavier springs and sometimes weights. They dim the lights and play awesome music to keep you going. I always get a great workout everything I go. My favorite instructor is Vero. Her classes are tough and I love her music selections!

When coming in for the first time there was no there to greet us or check us in, and feeling lost isn’t fun. The environment didn’t feel welcoming. As I was leaving only to find out that the person that was suppose to greet/check us in at the door was there the whole time but she was just talking and not greeting/checking in for us.
However First time experiencing solid core’s workout, I was drenched and sweating ! The pace of the movements are quick where as the tempo is slow which helps with contracting the abs. Instructor was help in guiding to assist with form from time to time. I can still hear her saying round your back, tuck your tailbone, and stack your shoulders over your elbows. It’s definitely I a good mind to muscle connection and sweat session. Workout was an 7/10. Pilates definitely takes practice.
It’s not a one star rating because the workout was a real sweat sess but the atmosphere of unfriendly and unwelcoming is uncomfortable when this is suppose to be an establishment that’s motivating.
Edit: adding another star because I went to a class on Saturday and there was someone greeting us and checking us in nicely and Vero our instructor for the day was so amazing! She was truly helpful with all pointers and tips on how to get our movement correctly. Tuck your tail bone in, push your hips back, round your shoulders so you don’t hurt your lower back, elbows to your ribs, feet hanging off of the carrier like a mermaid when stacking your knees for a side plank, straighten your wrist, every movement she did was easily understood and a good pace to follow not rushed at all! Everyone was majority of the time in unison! She even changed the springs for us ! 5/5 for Vero! She was awesome!
The instructor I had prior to Vero the day before was Julie. I can now give a better review on her based on experiencing Vero’s class. I definitely didn’t enjoy her class as much as I did with Vero’s class. Her movements felt very rushed and I didn’t feel like her tips were really helpful. Half of the class knew what they were doing and the other half was lost. Overall an okay class I give it a 2/5 stars since I did sweat a lot.

The staff there is wonderful. The workout itself is as hard as you want it to be-- you get what you put into it. It took at least 14 times before I understood certain moves and forms.

I don’t know if it’s their programming or the instructors choice, but doing 25minutes of plank variations is a miserable way to work on your core. There are so many different core exercises to choose from. I will not be back.

Ehh I prefer Lagree, the staff member are nicer. I went here and took Jordan she’s very nice and fun, then I went and took Lysandra and wasn’t impressed. She comes of as a bully to her clients in class,
Always picking on them. I hope they’re a friends with her, either way completely unprofessional. Let ppl work out the way they want too, it’s not your studio.

Be aware that they have a VERY strict cancellation/no show policy with no exceptions. I tested positive for Covid on the day i was supposed to go to class, so I cancelled the same day and was still charged! I didn’t want to infect anyone else in the studio but I was still penalized
