I had a parking issue before my first class today, and Katrina was incredibly kind and helpful.
She calmly explained everything, offered a clear solution, and made sure I could still join the next class without stress.
Thanks to her, I was able to finish my very first Solidcore class smoothly.
She’s organized, patient, and genuinely cares about helping clients — I really appreciate her support today! 💙

This location has great instructors but starting 5 minutes before each class there is often no one at the door to let clients in and they don't keep the door code updated on classpass, which means that I'm often locked out and made late until someone with the solidcore app shows up. Please change this!

I have been going to Solidcore for about a year now at various locations and this one is not it.

I called ahead before my 3:00 class at Montrose and was told I just needed to be in the studio within 5 minutes of start time. I arrived at 3:02 and checked in at the front desk without issue. When I entered the room at 3:06, the coach refused to let me join, saying I had to already be on the machine by 3:05. The staff gave me contradictory instructions and I lost a class credit because of it. Really poor communication and inconsistent enforcement of policy.

So I was 6 minutes late for my 9am class. Being a mom and having to drop off two kiddos in the morning and hassle all the way here. They can’t even be just a little bit considerate and flexible. I understand you can just let people walk in whenever. But 6 minutes? This is not built for busy moms. Maybe when you are single and not busy with life.

I attended Denise’s class last night and as a person with a non-common name I really appreciated her using my name during class to help push me. It was my first time experiencing that (after attending a few classes) and it’s small details like that that make me want to return :) she was a very attentive instructor, making sure we were in the correct form and getting the most out of our workout.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t a great experience for me.
Let me start by saying this has nothing to do with the front desk staff or the instructor both were friendly and professional. The front desk associate was warm and welcoming, and the instructor seemed knowledgeable and confident in her teaching.

That said, the atmosphere just didn’t work for a Pilates class. The music particularly loud rap was so overpowering that I could barely hear or follow the instructor’s directions. It felt more like the setting for a HIIT class than for Pilates. I really wanted to enjoy the session, but I couldn’t focus or stay present with the music blasting. Unfortunately, I ended up leaving just five minutes into the class because it was impossible to get into the right mindset.

The parking situation is awful and they don’t give you any instructions ahead of time. They also don’t answer the phone. Nothing wrong with the glasses Although I will say this location is a bit toasty. It’s on the bottom of my list for Houston locations.

This was an intense and fun Lagree workout! I was a little nervous signing up because my core is much weaker after having a baby but the instructor Miguel was so nice to all the first timers. He explained what was going to happen and changed the springs for us for our first class. The blue lights are flattering and kept me from standing out. Sound system was great and the class was challenging but fun and went by fast. Parking is free for 1 or 2 hours in the garage and there is street parking and valet as well. And since it's located in The Montrose Collective there are so many cute places to grab a coffee, cocktail or lunch/dinner after! I'm bringing a friend next time!

I took my first solid core class with Stephanie and she was very welcoming and explained the machine and helped me out during the class. She has super high energy and made me feel very supportive going here for the first time. I highly recommend Stephanie and this location!

Addicted to Solidcore (and no, it’s not Pilates!)
Let’s get one thing straight: Solidcore is NOT Pilates. I thought it was too until I took a class and realized this is a whole different beast! Seriously, check their website, they break it down better than I ever could.

Now I’m hooked! The burn, the shakes, the sweat.. I keep coming back because it works! I’ve seen a noticeable difference in my core , and the strength I’ve gained is wild.

My fave coaches: Zaxlee, Stephanie S, Ana T, and Fatima. They give the best hands-on adjustments and push me in all the right ways.

Pro tip: Take the Intro to Solidcore class before diving in. It sets the foundation and helps reset your expectations.. And if you really want to get the full experience, opt into the 2-week unlimited trial. One class won’t give you the full picture — but two weeks? You’ll totally get the hype!

I got injured here. It was my first class and I was excited to begin Pilates since my friend had recommended it. Turns out the floor was wet and I slipped during one of the exercises, falling onto the machine next to me and hurting my back.

Instead of calling an ambulance or trying to help, the instructor resumed the class and tried to get me to leave. I couldn’t even stand up. I laid there for the remainder of the class and eventually made it home with a bad injury.

I’m disappointed with how my first class experience and was handled.

This location is the worst in Houston. The front desk girl is rude and lack of professionalism is unacceptable.

I had an amazing experience at this Solidcore location! From the moment I arrived, everything was smooth and convenient—parking is a breeze, whether you choose validated garage parking or opt for street parking nearby.

The highlight of my visit was Miguel, who is a fantastic instructor. His ability to cue movements clearly and provide precise corrections made a huge difference in my workout. He strikes the perfect balance between challenging and encouraging, ensuring that everyone in the class maintains proper form while pushing their limits.

The studio itself is well-maintained, and the energy in the class was both motivating and supportive. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned Solidcore enthusiast, this location—and especially Miguel—will leave you feeling stronger and accomplished. I’ll definitely be back!

solidcore is my one true love. We started in May of 2024 and have done over 30 classes! It truly gets easier and harder at the same time. I am never bored, always challenged, and continuously eager to return for my next class. I am, however, distraught because I am moving to Anchorage, Alaska and they do not have a location. but I will forever miss her.

THE hardest workout of my life, coming from someone who (actually) lifts. I’m addicted! The coaches are very knowledgeable and can provide hands on adjustments to make adjustments to form for those who are just starting out. Word of advice, no matter your fitness level or experience in group fitness, take the intro class. There’s a lot to know and you want to set yourself up for success before you do a signature class.

Front desk girl on Friday 4pm was very rude.

The parking lot ran out of tickets and cars were stuck and unable to get past the gate nor was there any street parking at this time. I informed front desk of this and I was totally understanding of the cut off (despite ME getting off work early to make the class).

Since this wasn’t on me or the gym and simply a parking lot issue - regardless when I asked for the credit back she was actively annoyed and irritated that she had to explain how it would be handled etc.

Hopefully she’s more polite next time without the attitude. Again it was MY time wasted, she’s on her shift…

YES!! I recommend this place to literally anyone! If you are looking to challenge ANYTHING you know about working out or exercising…this is for you.

It was so easy to sign up and the staff were great at communicating and giving us information on how to get to the location, park, etc.

We took a class with Kelly and she was AMAZING at helping us newbies fix our machines, how to
have a great form and overall just explain to us what we were doing.

You’ll definitely be SORE for a couple days after but it’s a great experience.

Jamie was amazing!!! She was so attentive and constantly gave amazing feedback/compliments.lt made me want to push myself harder. The best thing I loved about her was her asking if it was okay if she touched us to help us if we were struggling. I cherished that so much because you never know what trauma people are carrying. She was the only instructor I have experienced who asked that question.

I was very displeased and disappointed with the service, professionalism and lack of awareness. I was scheduled for a class at the Montrose location. The first issue that I encountered was to find out that the instructor started the class before 5am. She started the class around 4:48am. And the class is scheduled for 5:00am This is my first time with solidcore. I was very excited to experience and try out the studio. The policy online states that if you arrive after 5 minutes you will not be able to take the class which I understood. I arrived before that 5 minute cut off and still was not allowed into the actual Pilates room. The parking instructions led both me and my friend to the other side of the building, therefore my friend and I raced to the correct side to find the entrance. I walked into the building at 5:01am and was not allowed to take the class. I was able to get into the front door with the unlock door button ,yet the class room door was closed and I was not able to open it. I had another friend that was inside the room that and had informed the instructor that I was outside the Pilates room door at 5:02am and she refused to open the door. When we managed to get the the room door open the instructor talked to us and told us the cut off time has passed whereas we began to discuss that we had been outside of the door for 4-5 minutes and my friend even asked her to open the door for us right at 5:02am and she informed her that she would not, yet tried to make it seem as if we did not make it before 5:05 when she finally stepped out to talk to us. She was not personable when she spoke with us the first time. She came off quite rude and stated that she understands but it’s too late at this point . This instructor blatantly told my friend that was inside that she would not open the door even before the cut off time had passed. My friend that was inside the class arrived around 4:52 and she stated that she barely made it in. My biggest problem is that the class started well before the scheduled time ,therefore yes the instructor may be 10-15 minutes through the workout already, but that is solely because the class was started earlier than it should have. That was very unfair and left a bad impression for Solidcore in my opinion. The experience definitely makes me question if this is even a studio that I should join.

This was my first time trying solid core, I did core and triceps/arms. Montrose is a nice location, and honestly my best friend and I were really looking forward to making this location our go-to place for Pilates. However, after speaking to the manager, Denis on the phone, I realized how unorganized and misinformed this location is. — Try solid core for sure but maybe, definitely not this location. Unless you like having a manager with no reconciliation skills taking your money. When I asked Denise to call me because of a miscommunication issue that occurred on HER instructors side. (The instructor told me 3x I would be refunded due to a location error. She was going to communicate it to her manager and everything would be fine however when said manager arrived she did not contact me regarding the incident, instead made her own assumptions of it and did a very poor job at helping ). She was rude when I answered and although she “listened to me speak,” it was very obvious that she had her mind made up way before we even got on the phone. New comers just be cautious, we all want to be in a welcoming, inclusive and understanding club and honestly that all starts with the one in charge.

This was my first solid core class and it was definitely not for me. I workout regularly and have taken reformer classes before. The music was so loud , it was not possible to hear the instructor. The instructor spoke so fast and did not provide any assistance to a group that was new to Solidcore. I was surprised there was no stretch or cooldown after. I will look for a different reformer studio.

I’ve been coming to SolidCore Montrose since October 2023. Absolutely loved the Pilates classes, instructors were kind and very knowledgeable, studio vibes were overall great. I’ve recently noticed a steady decline in how skilled the Pilates instructors that were teaching at SolidCore. But never thought of it as a reason to leave the studio I just figured they picked up extra staff to allow more classes throughout the week. This was a frequent place my sister, friends and I felt comfortable and enjoyed our time working out weekly here. Although after today I will never be returning back to solidcore overall. My class was booked at 3pm and after arriving at 3:06 to front desk lady had advised I was 1 minute past the grace period and would not be allowed to join class. I had kindly asked her to please reconsider since I’ve been coming frequently with my sister and I was caught in peak Saturday traffic in the Montrose area. She advised she couldn’t let me in under any circumstance due to the “manger” being in the room and she would have not liked this. I had let her know that my sister had saved a reformer and was expecting me any minute if she could just let her know I would not be joining due to policy so she would have not been worried. She advised she would not be letting her know and I would be either checked in as taking the class with no refund, or be booked as a no show and receive a extra charge I but would do me a “favor and validate my parking”. She had said at least I could grab a coffee or go shopping while I wait for my sister to get out of class. I truly don’t understand how a business can’t make an 1 minute exception for a client who has been visiting frequently for the past 5 months. Disgusting un-empathetic behavior.

Love solidcore; I’ve gone to about 20 classes and I always get a great workout and I’ve very rarely had an instructor who didn’t explain the moves well. The late-arrival policy doesn’t seem any different from many other workout studios including Orangetheory. Environment feels welcoming and inclusive. The Montrose location has easy parking in the garage or on the street.

Took my first class at Solidcore Montrose yesterday and I have mixed feelings about the class. Our instructor, Stephanie, was welcoming and knowledgeable about the anatomy and physiology which was great. Very upbeat and encouraging as well.
The instructions in the class, however, could have been better imo. I believe that guidance and correction during the exercises would greatly benefit everyone. I would suggest incorporating more demonstrations and form corrections.

I Arrived to my solid core montrose class 15 minutes early for the April 9th class at 9:05am with Jordan Hill. I was greeted at the door and checked in. And exactly 1 minute before class started I was told by the instructor Jordan Hill I had to leave because I brought my baby who was asleep in his car seat. The instructor had 15 minutes to address this if it was an issue, but rather waited until one minute before class was supposed to start. Nowhere in their policies or on their website does it say that I could not bring my baby. I’ve never had this issue at any other studio . It was classless and disrespectful to mothers. I will not be returning.
