Came by today with a membership I had signed up for through my bank. Nobody at the front desk knows what they’re doing. The girl “helping” me took 15 minutes to find the form I needed to fill out just to tell me my daughter couldn’t go to childcare. I told her and showed her where it clearly states childcare is included. She had to call somebody who didn’t answer the phone and said it would be a while. During the process she stopped to help at least seven other people while trying to figure my issue out. So unprofessional. I would have signed up for their membership if they seemed like they knew what was going on. Will never be back. I’ll go pay more at lifetime fitness.

Today was a terrible day for the swimming pool. I felt uncomfortable while a teenager lifeguard kept staring at me and my daughter and was waiting on an opportunity to blow her whistle as a warning to us. This is the beginning : they’ve set new rules for the swimming pool that a child who can’t swim or is under training and under 14 either has to wear a life jacket or be superintended by an adult accompanying him/her while swimming. After her swimming lesson my 5 yrs old daughter didn’t wear a life jacket and Knowing the rule I was following my daughter wherever she was playing in the pool and was making sure she was within my arm reach. The lifeguard was disturbing our swimming by keeping whistling and interrupting our swimming while my daughter was swimming within my arms and we did nothing wrong against their new rules. I don’t understand what was wrong with her that day so that she ruined our activity. The lifeguard also had an verbal argue with another woman who was trying to take her old mom on the wheelchair to the bathroom. Earlier today a boy had a seizure in the swimming pool and they called for 911. Once an ambulance showed up they evacuated all the people were swimming. That’s weird. They have “renovated” the pool by only adding a sauna cabin to the facility! There’s no clock in pool so my daughter’s trainer lost time and was about to dismiss my daughter 10 minutes earlier. There is mold all over the showers and the shower head is very dirty as well. The shower water is almost cold. Don’t just acclaim that you have renovated the pool and have purchased a new sauna room. Clean the existing facilities properly! That’s very true : you get what you pay for.

Excellent Value for Money; Good Selection of Well Maintained Gym Equipment

Came from a big box gym. Regret not having done so earlier. As of this writing, membership came out to $17.77 per person for a family of four. No hidden costs or fees. Although the work out area is substantially smaller than a big box gym, I didn’t feel like I had to compete either. Gym is sparsely populated during my regular work out hours (usually between 5:30a and 6:00a). Good selection of equipment, which is new in appearance, and appears to be well maintained. Front door staff is warm and inviting.

This was the second time my kids have went to their parents night out and my son (5) had a horrible experience. It's been 3 hours since I picked him up and he's been crying since about being mistreated. Having someone pick on him and the staff knowing and not doing anything about it. We will definitely not be returning to this location.

It used to be soooo much better. One of the membership selling points is that there is free weekend child care on Saturday evenings. They USED to have it. Now it's 25 spots for thousands of members to fight over. I've tried to get my kids a spot for months to no avail. Furthermore, they got rid of 1/3 of their machines and the younger crows sits on them playing for 10 minutes between reps. I wasn't able to finish my workout today because 2 machines were taken by younger members (late teens, early 20's) playing on their phones. They were on them for 30 minutes. MY membership for a family of 5 is about 200 a month. I can get a way cheaper membership from Lifetime. Please shop around and really see if you would get value for your money before committing to YMCA.

Worst experience ever, I called them and asked about pool hours and she said open from 5am to noon then from 730pm to 845pm and I drove for 30 mins to get kids in indoor pool, as we got there we checked in and lady asked us are you in swimming lessons I said no we here for public swimming as called you earlier. My 3 kids changed their clothes and got ready for swimming and were so excited, as we got in the pool the other lady said we can’t swim because it’s not open for public. My kids were so sad and very disappointed. Such a wasted time, money, gas. Front desks lady the (African American)she didn’t care about anything she didn’t even sorry, she’s soooooo rude. She just turned around and acted like she didn’t hear or care 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

This gym has limited pool hours, lots of unattended kids in the gym area, a lifeguard that is scared on duty and we had to wait to get them to call a back up guard then today wasn't happy with treatment from the younger man with longer hair when trying to cancel my contract (on the website it even says no contract)i was unaware as they never gave me said packet then was told i can't cancel all people under my account we all had to come in and sign to cancel then he was saying I was lying and made some comments about me to the other people very unprofessional and ended in $80 of additional fees all i wanted was clarification and to cancel the attitude wasn't needed and who wants to keep coming and deal with the people that made you 100% want to cancel I called and left a message for the membership women and hope to get a call back

I fell in love with YMCA after I got my daughter. They have wonderful sport programs for kids who want to play any sports for fun. The best part is that while the kid is busy, you can exercise.
One thing is sad that they suddenly changed Taekwando to a different Marshall art club without telling us. My daughter was really upset about it, and now we will take Taekwando somewhere else.

Would not recommend swim lessons here. God forbid you have a unexpected life emergency, they don't offer makeup courses. My 4 yr old son was in a car accident last week and missed 3 classes, the aquatic director told me she would only issue partial refund if I got a letter from my son Dr saying physically he couldn't participate due to the car accident. Disgusting, as if we aren't already dealing with enough. Where's the YMCA Core Values, I will be finding a different aquatics center to spend my money.

I signed my 1 yr up for swimming lessons. I got there got in the pool with the instructor. After about 10 min I ask were we going to do any activities, she said no we are just letting the babies get use to the water. So the entire time I played with my baby on my own. I could have just taken him to the pool, I didnt need to pay extra money for that. Horrible, she could have talked about water safety with the parent....something. About 30 mins she comes over to me and tell me the class is over....What fing class, I'm so disappointed!!!!

I took my Mother (a senior) to ask for information about a membership there. I was there to help her translate since she isn’t fluent in English. Thankfully Carolina was there at the front desk and she helped my Mom sooooo much. She was very kind, helpful and pleasant. My mom Decided to get the membership that same day, I think what closed the deal after Carolina gave us a tour of the place; was that my mom felt comfortable enough knowing there was someone who speaks Spanish. Thank you Carolina for being so nice to my Mom you are truly an important asset to YMCA. ❤️

Trying to get in contact with the swim department is a black hole. The sessions are only 4 weeks long. Half of them were such a headache because Izzy never answers her email & waits until the last minute to cancel or make changes to classes. Classes were canceled for spring break & I haven’t gotten a single email regarding that. Managers have even emailed Izzy asking her to contact me & there’s never a response. The only time her name ever appears in my inbox is when she does an all send. The front desk is lovely, & I’m sure the other departments are great, but the swim department is a joke.

Outstanding childcare. Great classes. Aquatics needs to get it together. Because of the ice storm they rescheduled all of the swim lessons for the week on one night not leaving any lap lanes open. I pay $75 a month and the pool is dirty and the aquatics staff doesn't run the schedule the way members are counting on. Kids sitting in their phones in the aquatics office need to clean the pool. Trent at the front is awesome. Put him in charge.

Would be nice if they had other rooms for classes so the court could be used more for those who want to play ball earlier in the day. Still a decent location.

Sad to say we canceled our membership today. My family had been members for well over a decade, and we have many great memories there. But, like a lot of things, it has lost its quality/value. Maintenance is a huge issue for this location, and has been for the last few years. Exercise equipment stay broken for months. Staffing levels have shrunk to a point where I don't think they can cover all their bases. WIFI never seems to be available. When I came in person to cancel, no one even asked me why we are leaving, or could they do anything to retain us. Just simply said, "OK, sign here". I can no longer recommend this location.

I’ve sent numerous emails trying to get information about how I can use the personal training I paid for. I called and was told I receive a call back and never did. Went to the Mansfield location with no one who could help me. I signed my kids up for camp and sent emails asking questions to the email provided for camp related activities. Never received a response. I went into the ymca site and filled out the contact us section 3 times with no response. I recently joined and have paid over $200 in fees for membership, personal training and kids activities for my kids and received nothing but my money taken. I would like my $99 refunded for the personal training I paid for and the $60 I paid for my kids sports. I’ve joined my local recreation center who has been wonderful to me and my kids compared to my experience with YMCA.
