I've been working out with Mike, Chris and Rachel for 8 years now, and I'm just so happy they've created this new gym family and facility where no matter your fitness level or expertise, you're welcomed with open arms into this gym. The equipment and space are state-of-the-art and spacious, and the classes are offered at various times throughout the day to accommodate anyone's schedule. The classes offered vary from high intensity interval training to focused weight training and the trainers are always offering ways to give members extra challenges like the Crush 90 Conquer 365 at the beginning of each year, as well as body fat loss challenges and fitness endurance events like DEKA. If you're looking for a new gym that feels like family and a place where you actually will enjoy your workout and be challenged at the same time, THIS IS IT! Last thing to mention - memberships are affordable and classes are easy to book online or through their app. Join us!

Can’t recommend SAF more highly. I’ve been working out with Chris for the last 8 years and was so happy when he finally opened up a place. Mike and Rachel are also great trainers. Love the space, turf for HIIT on one half and racks and such on the other.

Great gym.
In terms of the space, it's a Goldilocks. Not too big, DEFINITELY not too small, and well equipped with more actually useful pieces being added regularly without cluttering up the place. The location is easy to get to and parking is easy.
What really makes it, though, is the people. There's a great core of friendly, highly supportive members who are very happy to welcome newcomers. The atmosphere is fun but focused on giving your best. We comfortably include people starting their fitness journey all the way through some of my fellow members (not me), whom I would consider elite athletes, at least for our ages. ;-)
I've been working out with Chris now for more than seven years. I can honestly say that I am in better shape in my late 40s than I was in my 20s or 30s. Mike is merciless but fun and friendly. Rachel brings a different approach, mixing things up and getting us out of our comfort zones to find unexpected ways to challenge ourselves.

South Austin Fitness is not your average gym. It’s a community of people who care. It’s for the big, the small, and everyone in between.
I’ve been training with Mike and the team for 3 years and not only did I bounce back from a major knee injury, I’m in the best shape I’ve been in years. Highly recommend!!!

This is no ordinary gym, y'all. It's a supportive and tight-knit community of incredible humans who all share a common goal of wanting to optimize their fitness and work towards a stronger, better version of themselves. There are, of course, different goals and definitions for what that looks like for each member, but somehow South Austin Fitness manages to serve them all flawlessly.
I happen to be on the crazier, more intense end of the spectrum 🤪 - I have been training with Chris for over 7 years now. And every step of the way, he has been there motivating, supporting, and pushing me to reach for (and crush!) fitness goals I never could have dreamed were possible for myself. Mike and Rachel are cut from the exact same cloth - I straight up adore training with them and cannot tell you how lucky I feel to have this all-star team of trainers in my corner. Best Trainer team ever!!
I am so freaking pumped that these guys opened South Austin Fitness up - I am obsessed with the place. The class mix is phenomenal. I love the variety of equipment and training styles. The workouts are challenging in all the right ways. The trainers are motivating, creative, and incredibly attentive. And the other members are just a ton of fun to be around, not to mention some of the most supportive and encouraging people in my life.
I cannot wait to see what kinds of crazy things I'll be able to achieve working with the team at SAF - I am beyond grateful to have this place and the incredible community in my life. 10/10, cannot recommend enough!

Absolutely love this gym and the trainers! It’s such an inviting environment with caring trainers! Great variety of classes and times! Good space with plenty of equipment! First gym that I have been able to get my husband to go with me to and he loves it! Huge win!!!

There's not a lot of places one can describe as "Life Changing", but South Austin Fitness has been truly life changing for me.
I've spent years working behind a desk, and after some significant health setbacks, I assumed I was just going to settle in to a "dad bod" and eventually get a CPAP to help me breath at nights.
Make no mistake, there are some fierce competitors at SAF, and it's a very real workout. However, all of the Trainers have been extremely patient with me, given me the encouragement and dedication needed, and put me on a very different path than then one I was on just a year ago.
It really is a place for everyone, no matter what fitness level you're starting from. The workouts are intense, but the trainers are there to support you and keep you going.
If your motivation usually stops in January, then it's time to ditch the "Judgement Free Zone" and connect with some Trainers who are actually invested in your success.
