A glorified babysitter camp! Don't be fooled by SGA!! If you are doing a "gymnastics camp," they will NOT teach them anything. They will mostly have campers jump on the trampoline and then take them to a room to color a piece of paper, YES 1 sheet of paper is all that is allowed. If only zero stars would be possible to give as a rating, that is what they would earn.

Where to begin… my wife and I had our 7 year old son in the boys class, the young female coach could not keep them engaged or there attention, they did the same routine over every class and there was no structure to the boys program we tried to wait it out because when we first enrolled him they had a decent coach as time went on it got more and more disorganized by the week after we finally expressed our disappointment and let them know we were most likely going to find another gym that was more structured for our son the owner asked us to give them another try we went one last time, when the same situation occurred we had made our mind up about finding a new gym we met with the owner again she offered to refund us for missed classes, we waited 10 business day for the refund no refund we reached out to inquire about the situation and were told they would look into it after a few more days of no answer or call back my wife tried reaching out and has been blown off by the owner, also there are shirtless teenagers males participating in front of young girls during the practices witch I found to be classless in my opinion shows how structured the place is if your ok with that it’s your choice but I would do a bit of research and find a professional place to take your children

I am deeply disappointed with the unfair business practices at Southlake Gymnastics. When my wife called on Thursday, we were informed that the registration fee was $30, and we scheduled a free trial for our child on Saturday based on that information. After the trial, when we went to register, we were unexpectedly charged $60 instead. When my wife called to inquire, we were told that the price had increased two days ago. This should have been communicated to us when we scheduled the trial, not after the fact.
This isn’t just about the extra $30—it’s about trust and transparency. As a parent, I need to have confidence in the people I entrust with my child’s care and development. If there are hidden fees or changes in costs without prior notice, it raises serious concerns about the integrity of the business. This experience has eroded my trust in Southlake Gymnastics, and I hope they take steps to improve their communication and commitment to doing the right thing.

They allow grown teenage boy to practice just shorts on there are small children in the classes that really don't need to see shirtless young men trying to show off asked about it they did not seem to care classes seem good but we are not at a pool or beach not appropriate to have half dressed men running around small children should not have to be exposed to this sad that business does not care

We used to enjoy coming to gymnastics for our 3 year old but the place has really done down hill. The coaches do not seem engaged and the ratio of kids to coach is too large. It’s a shame because my daughter used to love coming to class but the past few times, we have had to talk her into it. We will be going to a new gym from here on out.

SGA is incredible. I love all the coaches. I love that they will never miss your phone call and will always get back to your concerns. They have addressed any concerns we have had and improved from there. The coaches are committed to the little ones and will push them to their potential. I can’t even begin to express how big of an improvement I’ve seen in my son from the day he started SGA. My son also enjoyed the parents night out events so much. He always looks forward to them. We went from once a week to three times a week and it’s worth every penny. So thankful for the SGA team and I look forward to my son growing with them.

I can’t give 5 stars and here is why. We moved here from TN last year. My daughter has been doing gymnastics since she was 18 month old ( started with mommy and me and from then on) we did two classes a week. She was 4 at the time when we moved. Before we left TN she got invited to join pre-team. So after moving to TX we tried different places and settled on SGA. They told me they can’t get her on their pre-team because she wasn’t meeting whatever their requirements ( which is fine) for her level they have some kind of advanced girl class once a week and she’ll work up to pre-team level this way. So over the course of almost a year she hasn’t move anywhere. Non of her skills improved. And let me tell you I know this girl CAN TRAIN, she loves challenges and she works and tries HARD! Pulled her out. And very disappointed. She loved her teacher though. My son also attended SGA ( he is 7) he did boys gymnastics and quickly moved up a level with their program. But since my daughter not going to be going there I pulled my son out too. We have other activities and their schedule at SGA is not flexible at all. I can’t say I would recommend SGA. There are better places where your daughter can advance at gymnastics. Still regretting not going with Top Flight.

I recently enrolled my daughter in their program and she really enjoys it. She looks forward to gymnastics every week. She loves her teacher Mr. Jacob. The gym itself is clean and the equipment doesn't look misused or old. I look forward to my daughter continuing to attend this academy and seeing her progress.

I'm generally happy with you guys, but I feel like I need to address the substitute coach my daughter had today. She had an attitude the entire time she was teaching the preschool class, and wasn't paying attention to kids literally walking across the parallel bars. The way she was coaching the kids made them confused and we weren't happy with her. We then complained, and another lady talked to her. She then decided that it would be okay to confront us and argue with us. I'm really not happy with this woman's attitude and how aggressive she was with the kids and with us.
If she continues to coach my child, I will have no choice but to pull her out.
Usually 5 stars, but with what we experienced today, I'm not happy.

The male owner was very rude This was our first time coming and we were lost and not so sure about where the entrance was so we mistakenly came to the back and instead of greeting us and politely asking us if we need any assistance the male owner approached us in a very aggressive tone, but I can say my daughter love this place and her coach Angie. The staff is very friendly but the owner not so much.

It makes me mad that every time I ask when a open gym the week before they say “it’s on Saturday” and a week later I call and they say “no we had it on Friday” the next week I call, “we have it on Saturday” I call the next day they are closed and have no open gyms, really is disappointing😪

If you want more than a place for your children to learn gymnastics, this is the place. My two kids go here and these people are like family to us! (We are not actually related and this is not a paid review) They’ve been so supportive of our family through some difficult transitions and are truly genuine people. I am profoundly thankful for them and for the incredible staff my children get to learn from. Seriously, sign up with them like right now.

Recently my wife and I took our daughter to a free trial class, knowing we had other gymnastics places to visit that day we scheduled her a noon class with teacher malika. When we got there we were treated so nice with the best customer service that we signed up that day and didnt go to the other appointments! Would definitely recommend !!

I have one daughter in recreational gymnastics and one daughter in competitive gymnastics at SGA. We have been here since the doors opened, and we love it. The owners Mark and Missy are wonderful, enthusiastic about the sport they love which is evident with their children's involvement and success in the field. The coaches are supportive and nurturing, and they motivate the students to excel--not just in gymnastics but in their studies and as individuals in general. My daughter loves her teammates and coaches and would never consider going anywhere else; she considers them family and Missy treats her like a daughter. I can't imagine going anywhere else!

My daughter chose Southlake Gymnastics Academy over 3 years ago when it became clear that it was time to transfer to a more positive gymnastics environment. We could not be happier with the decision to become part of the SGA family. The owners/coaches Missy & Mark truly love and support every child that attends their gym. Their entire coaching staff is second-to-none! My daughter spends 20+ hours a week training at SGA, and she loves her coaches and teammates so much! It’s not just about gymnastics, it’s about friendships, character development, and life skills, and perseverance at SGA.

When we moved to Texas over 3 years ago, we looked at several gyms for a new team for our daughter. From the very first day, she felt like this was where she belonged and wanted to look no further. SGA treats my child as a whole person, not just a gymnast, and it has truly become a second family for her. The owners, Mark and Missy, have a true passion for the sport and all of their gymnasts. Would not hesitate to recommend.

My daughter has attended this gym since she was 5 years old. She told them then that she had big dreams and they took her seriously then and have worked with her every day since, helping her accomplish every goal she has set for herself so far. The owner has pushed her when she needs to be pushed, but also nurtures her when that is required. When my child was injured, the owner took amazing care of her and stayed with her the entire time. It was such a relief to me to know that while I was away, she was in amazing hands. Her care and generosity is genuine and extends outside the gym as well. I genuinely feel that my child is loved and in a safe place when she is there. Her teammates are like her sisters and we will remain here throughout her entire gymnastics career.

My son has now gone to SGA for over 5 years. We drive all the way from Denton. This is a first-class place, from the owners, to the coaches, from the programs offered to the fun provided! I wish they were closer, but they are worth the drive. They have top-notch coaches, especially for the boys program. This is like a 2nd home to my son, since he spends about 20 hours a week there. I can only recommend this place if you want your kid to learn, develop, excel and blossom.

My son DJ loves this class. He is always excited to see Coach David and Coach Mason. He has been attending the gym for 4 months and has really started to come out of his shell. He started off very timid and shy for a preschooler. I am so excited about what SGA has done for my son and appreciate the patience displayed by all of the staff.

Our family LOVES Southlake Gymnastics Academy. We were part of the original group of kids that started there when the gym opened in January 2009. Both my son and daughter are a part of their program, and we just can't say enough great stuff about SGA. This is one of the only gyms we've seen that has all of the equipment needed to facilitate instruction to both girls and boys. The coaches are knowledgeable, approachable and have a genuine love for gymnastics and teaching the next generation of athletes. The owners have worked hard to provide an outstanding experience at very reasonable tuition rates. More importantly, they have demonstrated time and again their commitment to developing balanced, well rounded young people who happen to enjoy and thrive at all levels of gymnastics. Our kids are in this sport for the long haul, feel that SGA is their home, and couldn't imagine going to another gym.
