Year 3 at Spotlight and now all three of my girls are dancing there! The owner and teachers are the real deal — talented, kind, and so nurturing. This has been the best investment for our girls. They look forward to going to class each day, even after a long day at school!

We have attended SDC for 5 years now and my daughter has loved it. The owner and her family have been very supportive, not only through dance, but in other things we have been dealing with in life. I couldn't thank them enough for being there for my family. I consider this place our dance family. If you want hour child to be welcomed with open arms, please, try SDC!!

10/10 Recommend!!! This is our daughter’s second year on the company team, and we couldn’t be more happy and excited for her. She came in at 4yo with no experience, and extremely shy. She is now a National Champion & has enough stage presence for our whole family. Watching the SDC family/staff push, encourage, and build our princess up is something we will never forget or take for granted. We are so excited to see how far she goes with Spotlight. This studio has truly become a family for our daughter.

From dancing with this studio and the instructors since I was a little girl, I knew hands down this was our go to studio when it was time for my babygirl to be introduced into the dance world. I can’t thank Mrs Tabatha (Director) and the instructors enough for seeing the potential in my baby girl as well as watching her excel in her technical skills everyday. This review is for the parents who have a neurodivergent child..this is NOT the place for your child. Prior to my daughter’s first session with them, I had explained how she’s in OT, she is speech delayed, and she communicates mainly with sign language & gestures. Her dance instructor and the director had assured me of their “experience” with children in this category. After our experience there it is definitely telling that they simply didn’t want to deal with her. I was not aware prior to her first class that this was NOT parent involved and that there is no way to visually supervisor my child. At the time of my conversation with the director she kept verbalizing my daughter was a “safety risk” to the staff and other dancers. She is 2. When they explained to me what led them to say that, I thought that’s just typical toddler misbehavior , ie hair pulling, poking faces. She did scratch one of the dance instructors hands. But I don’t know what happened to cause that. To call a neurotypical child a safety risk, who is waiting to get diagnosed for autism is extremely insensitive and honestly concerns me to how she was treated during class. After talking to her developmental team they assured me that it sounds like they don’t know how handle children in this category and ultimately they have no business working with children on the spectrum if they can’t accept them ALL. The director did refund me for the costume fee and the prorated monthly tuition. I’m making this review to warn other parents of their neurodivergent toddlers well being.

My daughter has been attending Spotlight Dance Studio for a year, and our experience has been nothing short of amazing! The instructors are not only incredibly talented but also nurturing and supportive, fostering a positive learning environment for all students.

What truly sets Spotlight Dance apart is the sense of community it fosters. The staff members go above and beyond to ensure that every student feels valued and supported, creating a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can thrive. I love that it is a family-owned studio. The Director has been an educator in the community for over thirty years. Her three daughters teach all of the classes and have extensive knowledge of different styles of dance. I appreciate how they also educated me on all of the colleges in the area about recruiting camps and tryouts. I am truly grateful.

Reflecting on our experience, I wish we would have joined earlier and not waited until her senior year. Nonetheless, the growth and opportunities she has had at Spotlight Dance Studio have been invaluable. Just this spring, we attended a competition where my daughter won a scholarship, a testament to the exceptional training and support she receives at the studio.

I highly recommend Spotlight to anyone looking for a dance studio that prioritizes excellence, creativity, and personal growth. Thank you to the entire team for your dedication and commitment to nurturing young dancers!

My daughter has been with Spotlight Dance Company for less than 2 months & is already so in love with the staff & the other dancers! She has danced since she was 6, but we have seen her grow so much in the last 2 months as a dancer. The staff takes amazing care of each dancer as a whole person, not just as a dancer. I don’t know where to start. In my opinion this studio is HIGHLY focused on competition. I felt very uncomfortable and judged and almost left out since my daughter wasn’t company. Sitting in the lobby with other moms, and the conversation that I listened to, made me feel like a bad dance mom, and mom in general. We made the switch to another studio after the owner forced a recital during a pandemic. The original venue stated that the studio couldn’t have the recital. Like 3 weeks before recital. A venue was found last minute and was not conducive to dancers. My daughter FELL, to the floor, once during her tap routine and proceeded to slip several more times. I never got info about pictures that were taken, how to order, etc for last year. If you are competition focused, this is probably a good studio for you. If your child is wanting to dance just for fun, I would not recommend this studio.

My daughter has danced here for four years since she was 3. Teachers are consistent and professional. They all care about the dancers and push them to do technique correctly. My daughter did recreational dance for 2 years and now 2years company. After school practice keeps her off the street, she’s a A Honor Roll student, her playtime is on the weekends only. Come try a class for free. Summer class starts 4 June.
