Been w/ Texas Family Fitness, going 2 years. Much better than the prior one I came from. I like the environment w/ younger generation of health conscious people. So far, everybody seems to be down to earth. Except for the issue of my refund that I had been promised way back in April 2023 & I'm still waiting (pls don't let me wait until the cow goes home). Error by employee resulting in billing & debit my card. 2 mgtm guys (u know who u r) had promised to take care but nothing happened. Hope the owner or the corp mgtm will take care.

04/03/2024. Going 3+ years. Enjoying it. Have newer employees who r nicer. More customers, nicer people too. The new manager, Maria, is extremely nice. Stay humble don't change. She's workaholic.

06/07/2024. 2-3 weeks ago, got new mgr. Not really sure what's behind the scene. Doesn't really look good. 1st time in my life to see such a huge turnover. ?????

09/12/2024. Sad ... nobody cares on my prior review. Here we are again, new mgrs in what 2 months. It's none of my business but whatever the reason/s, it reflects only one thing: something wrong w/ the picture that mgtm doesn't even care & fix the issue. Frequent manager turnover does not look good ... talking about frequent...

12/10/2024. I got so excited when I heard the rumor (hope it's true) that Planet Fitness will take over TFF. I know the new mgtm will do what it takes to turn this gym back to its old glory. Presently, what keep this place running are those dedicated front desk people & few managers, (Key is one of them who got moved to another ctr). Hope new mgtm will keep those good employees & supplement their pay. Constant employee turn over is not a good sign of good business. "A little extra goes a long way." Thanks to them that I stay w/ this ctr for sometime now. 👍

Been going to Texas Family since they opened up and around last year I met this awesome guy named Johnny at the front desk, he’s very welcoming to the gym and gives great advice on lifts and is a great communicator/ listener.
He connects with those around him and has a great impact on the gym. His impact moves the gym in a positive direction and anyone who plans to join Texas Family or sees him around should say hi and get to know him. Texas Family Fitness is committing deceptive business practices - when I spoke with the salesperson, they did not inform me about any annual fees. I was told my plan was “month-to-month” - not an annual subscription, and that I would pay $37/month. 35 days later my credit card was charged an additional $59, and I was told this was the “annual fee.”

When I called to cancel, I was initially told that in order to cancel I had to come into the gym in-person. When I went into the location, they handed me a card and said they could not cancel in-person, but that I had to call the business number. While this was frustrating, I went home and called the customer “service” number.

Upon calling this number, I ended up in an automated response loop, that continued to put me back at the original point of the call, with no option to cancel membership or even speak with a human. I had to keep pushing 0 and come up with creative ways to answer the prompts in order to finally get on the phone with somebody.

I explained the situation and the person (as expected) said they couldn’t do anything to help. They said they would send me an email that would allow me to follow steps to cancel the membership. However, they said, there was also a 30-day cancelation notice requirement, and that I would be billed an additional $37 the following month for a membership I wasn’t using.

Neither of these facts were disclosed to me during the sales pitch at my initial visit. The deception by this company and their attempt at making it very difficult to cancel is just another example of what’s wrong with so many businesses. I personally own and operate a small business and work tirelessly to provide a quality service with clearly laid out terms and expectations, so that there are no surprises for anyone. In this case, it may only be about $100, but it’s the principle of the thing, and I know this is happening to many more people than just myself. Save your money and go to a different business!

As a member it's a great gym to workout at plenty of space, equipment is good for the most part ALOT of machines need new pads, and cables need replaced but it takes forever for them to fix anything. Now as a personal trainer STAY AWAY! They claim to be focused on helping the trainer but will delete completed sessions from you without any explanation or even a phone call to double check if it's correct. Then act like it's no big deal when they steal money from you and want you to just come back to work..
