Pickleball open play was unorganized and the guy at the front desk could hardly speak English. It was weird.

It’s a fun place to go with the family. Some can exercise while others can grab a beer. We had a great reunion of Casas de España there. It’s comfortable with a lot of space for young and old. Thank you Aaron for being a wonderful host!

Disappointing experience @ private tournament. Were told that paddle/ball rental were included & that tournament director services were provided when booking. Leading up to the tournament, I emailed Andrew, our tournament director, w/ proposed rules/tournament layout & requested feedback. Friday before the tournament, I followed up & included a list of team names w Round Robin pools. Saturday, Andrew’s late arrival would've been ok if other employees were helpful. Before Andrew arrived, we asked the girl @ the front desk if we could use the paddles that were included in our fee. She replied w/ something like, “IDK, you’ll have to wait for the tournament director.” Andrew was scattered when he arrived. Tournament directors are responsible for having the bracket ready before the tournament begins. Instead, he waltzed in & asked if I had the list of team names, pools, etc. I reminded him that all the info was included in the emails I sent. (Bc I did not receive any feedback on scoring, I sent out a copy to the 25 registered teams.) Andrew told me that he “doesn’t check his email,” which is unprofessional for a director the week of a tournament. He then said he wanted to change the Round Robin gameplay layout. I was frustrated bc the rules were already shared but conceded. At this point, our tournament started over 30min late & players did not yet have their pool assignments. I was astonished at the man's inability to read & pronounce our basic team names. He stumbled through & butchered them, saying stuff like, “Kitchen [mumbles]- Kitchen something - yall know who I’m talking about - you’re over there.” But we had NO IDEA who he was talking about bc we had 3 or 4 teams whose names started with Kitchen! By then I was genuinely questioning whether he was sober. Once he was done, the question marks on everyone’s faces were obvious. Annoyed, I took matters into my hands, re-read all the pools & handed out court assignments. We discussed having a brief demonstration to review the rules before games started bc some of our participants were not super familiar w pickleball. Andrew was diminutive & unclear during his demonstration. The rules I emailed him indicated our tournament would use rally scoring for timing. W/o consulting me, he instructs all players that the tournament would use traditional (non-rally) scoring, leaving everyone super confused. Again, I had to step in to do his job & make sure everyone understood the rules & rally scoring. Tournament director duties include keeping track of game results & assigning what team(s) are playing next. After pools were given court assignments, Andrew walked away & I did not see him for the rest of Round Robin. Instead of keeping track of game results himself, each pool was given a scrap piece of paper to write down their results. Teams should not have to keep tally of their own record! The next time I saw him was a few hours later when I walked into the proshop w the Round Robin scraps. While Andrew was relaxing, I gave the papers to the girl @ the desk so they could rank the top 10 teams for the final bracket. We waited far too long for the Round Robin results; players were antsy & frustrated. When the bracket was ready, Andrew AGAIN started suggesting we deviate from the set rules. Had we gone with his suggestion & not done rally scoring, our tournament would have been super delayed. After they prepared the final bracket, the employees gave us a piece of paper & continued to sit in the shop. I figured things would run smoother if Andrew wasn’t involved, so I didn’t even ask if he was going to give court assignments. We just took the paper bracket back to our event & I did not see Andrew again. After announcing the bracket seating, we noticed it was strange that the 2 teams who had a perfect record in pool play ended up as seats 9 and 10. So I had to figure out what went wrong & fixed the bracket they incorrectly put together. I ended up running the tournament through the end w/o help. After that poor experience, I won't be returning anytime soon & do not recommend this place.

Absolutely loved it here! There was plenty of parking, a bar, multiple padel and pickleball courts.

They also had ping pong tables and a small gym.

Get ready to sweat because it’s a like huge warehouse but has great and upgraded amenities.

At first, I had some trouble to making a reservation, and the front desk explained that I could book through the app called the king of padel. Web doesn’t work anymore. The app is very convenient, and the experience was great. I just hope the floor can be cleaned a bit more thoroughly, and it would be perfect. I’ll visit again.

Visited here with a friend, tried our hand at Pickle Ball. We def got our sweat on. The big fans blow hot air. Would be nice if they had showers, but they have a small bathroom area for such a big establishment. Wish they had gone a bit higher with the fencing around pickle ball, had to chase down a ball thru the under construction area. But it's a very nice multi event establishment. Would visit again.

We were on vacation when my boyfriend celebrated a mini birthday party here, and it couldn’t have been better! I also took pickleball lessons with Veronica—she was absolutely amazing! Her energy and motivation were contagious. This place is top-notch and such a fantastic addition to the area!

The facility is a great space and has good courts. I won't be returning because it's a heatstroke waiting to happen! The fans were blowing around hot air. It's only mid-June. I can't imagine what the end of July or August will feel like!

It was my first time visiting this court in San Antonio and upon arrival the front desk staff were not friendly and not helpful in finding our court reservation. The front desk staff mentioned the court number and continued her conversation with her other friends at the front desk. We didn’t know where the numbers of the courts were located. As we were walking to our court we noticed a lot under construction and loud noise coming from the construction near our court. We were placed by the construction zone area. Paddle King is under construction and has extremely loud noises so bring ear plugs! The gym is very hot and not a lot of ventilation coming through the courts! Staff aren’t friendly and no water stations available for guests. This place lacks leadership and friendly staff! No music no working fans are plugged in to accommodate guests. This place has potential but needs more development.

Very hospitable, great courts for playing pickleball and they even taught us a bit about Padel! Our "benched" players enjoyed the comfortable seating and, though it was a bit hot, the proprietor is taking steps to make it more manageable with tons of swamp coolers and fans. We found it nice to play pickleball and sweat a bit but the proprietor did mention they'd be adding insulation and AC in the coming months.

This place has a lot of great things going for it. Big facility, plenty of courts, competitive pricing for reservations and open play. We went on a Sunday and there were a few cool vendors and events going on.

The place does need some general housekeeping. It’s kind of dirty and some of the courts need some time dedicated to tidying up nets, fencing, etc.
It’s in a great location and has a gym area they are putting in so would love to see this place succeed and be a great one stop play and workout area.

I’m a regular customer and I play here almost every week. Yet, almost every two or three weeks I face the same issue — I make a reservation through my phone, arrive on time, and then they told me booking doesn’t exist. This is unacceptable and extremely frustrating. I expect better organization from a facility I support regularly.

It was a good experience, the place really needs better air conditioning though. The balls kept hanging on the walls because there was a net thingy that kept trapping them on top.

Mixed feelings about this place. Has a lot of potential but needs a little more attention and investment before someone gets hurt. The building itself is old and has leaks, I’ve been there on a few occasions when there is water dripping from the roof onto the ground and literally onto several courts making puddles of water. Totally unsafe. The courts in the very back of the building are uneven and the players on the furthest side are blindsided by the lights anytime the ball goes in the air. It’s not fair or safe to play. The courts need some organization especially during open play. Paddle racks would help a little. There is no heat so it’s freezing during lower temps, they put heaters out but they honestly didn’t help. I’m told they don’t have air conditioning as well but cannot verify that part. I would say if you have no where else to play then it is an okay spot on a perfect weather day. If they can make some adjustments it could be a great place to play. Has some potential.

I have some mixed feelings about this place, 1st and foremost the facility and the staff are really good, thus the 5 stars are warranted. It would not be a fair measurable, but I think it's important to mention that the clientele that I played against while I was there were in the highest keeping of the pickleball culture. Highly accepting, and very gracious with lower rated players. My only reservation or caution in any regard is pickleball court number 8, it has a serious dip on one side, I would consider it unsafe. The leveling compound and paint required to fix this would not amount to much, so let's say I'm docking them a quarter star for that, rounded up to five, I don't think anyone will be disappointed playing here.

Easy to reserve a court and pay through the app. Friendly staff who gave a tour and were very approachable. Played for several hours. Had a blast. It is summer, so a little warm inside, but once the temps drop, it will cool down.
