Joined the Workout Pro 4 days ago and It is a fantastic gym. I workout around 4:45am and don't have to worry about waiting to use equipment. Has everything you need to get a great workout. Dumbbells go up to 150's which is not something you'll find in neighborhood community or commercial gyms. 5 stars love this gym already.

I just started going to WorkoutPro since my time was up at Physical Therapy. I have a rare neurological disease, and I must maintain my muscle mass and even strengthen up some to keep from losing the muscle I currently have. Plus, I need to add to a new diet with proper conditioning. The facility is open 24/7 by a secured finger scan door release. It's small, but just right for my needs with a wide variety of weights and machined systems. The restroom was in need of repair of some ceiling tiles but was clean and adequate for my handicap needs. It's also very convenient to where I live. Being a retired disabled veteran, I like to go just between the end of lunch time and 5 pm. It's a good workout facility for the monthly fee, and signing up on their website was easy and efficient.

Dirty facility and a lot of broken equipment. No sense of pride in operating their business.

Update: First time back in the gym following an injury but kept my membership going the last 2 months anyways.
Treadmill kept abruptly stopping mid workout. Looked down after the second time and part of the treadmill is being held together by duct tape. So it went from equipment that was old to equipment that is a hazard and falling apart. Hopefully they figure it out and fix the equipment before someone gets hurt and it turns into a lawsuit. Like I said before, this place has potential but it needs someone to take it over and give it some love. Unfortunately I’ll be looking to Denton for a gym.
Pros:
- open 24 hours
- Dumbbells go up to 150
- Has powerlifting and strongman equipment
- Open space
- Really the only option for Argyle residents if they don’t want to drive to Denton or Flower Mound
- Fingerprint check in
Cons:
- Don’t go after 8pm. There’s always a group of high school kids there for socializing more than actually working out. You have to work around them while they are just sitting on machines. I literally did 45 minutes of cardio before some of them got in a 3rd set of whatever they were doing. Isn’t there a rule for minors to be accompanied by an adult in most gyms?
- A lot of equipment and cardio machines worn down or not really working
- Bathrooms are often unstocked and dirty
You get what you pay for. Value is good for a no frills place and if you live close it’s fine. Definitely has potential to be better. Like I said, just don’t go later at night

Last spring I was looking for a trainer and reached out to a few local gyms and Jeff actually called me back! He is very knowledgeable and consistent and enthusiastic about his job. Highly recommend giving him a call!

Worn out equipment, like others have said, more like a social session that a workout with some people in there. Has potential but it seems like the owner doesn't care much. Multiple calls and an emial with no response.

I'm not the most thrilled with this place. It is a gym and there is workout equipment. It services the purpose to workout. But it is old equipment, the place is rarely clean, toilet paper is always out in the men's bathroom. We go to this gym because options in the area are limited.

Very convenient tech. I love being able to go anytime with only my thumb to get in. Can't beat the location. Would have to drive at least 20 minutes to get to anything similar

The pros are the 24/7 access, no contract, fees are straightforward and affordable, enough variety of equipment to get the exercise I need, it's close to home, and the owner is nice and quick to respond. It fills a need since the next closest gyms are 20 minutes away. The cons are it is really dirty, some of the equipment is broken, there's no childcare, and I often have to endure listening to foul-mouthed teenagers.

My s/o and I just started at this gym, so far everyone has been very polite. I have a service dog and not one person has made me feel unwelcome bringing him or even questioned him being there which is a huge relief. The equipment here is nice and it has yet to ever be crowded which is a huge turnoff for gyms. Its next door to a donut place though so keep that in mind of you are like me and will work out and then eat 50 donuts 😂

The Work Out Pro has worked perfect for me. It's close and convenient. No contract to sign. 24/7 access. Management has always been very polite and informative. The gym has everything I need to get my workout in. I've been a member for over 2yrs now and have had no issues.

The Workout Pro in Argyle is amazing! You get 24 hour access to the gym. If you are into weight lifting/body building you have everything you need to get an amazing workout! They just added new cardio equipment so if lifting weights is not your thing you have a variety of options. They also offer personal training, tanning, and massage. I have been working out with the owner/personal trainer, Jeff Dewberry, for the last 3 months and have seen amazing changes that I could not get on my own! Highly recommend you check them out. The owner is only available during office hours but you can always call to schedule a visit or ask your questions.

It is next to impossible to get in contact with management. I liked the facilities while I was here, but it's not worth it due to the lack of accessibility to the owners. I need to cancel my membership because the location no longer works for me with my new job. I've left two voicemails a few days apart, called multiple times, and still have not heard back.

Great personal training. I've never worked out so well or seen such quick results. After just 8 sessions I was already down a pant size! And really, I didn't change my diet... people say that, but I really didn't. I'm a big guy who likes to eat and so it was nice to get in some good workouts that have immediate results.
