Outstanding gym. No keycard required because the staff take the time to learn your name. It’s never too crowded even after working hours and on weekends. Equipment is all brand new. Gym is always clean. Free rags for use during workout. Personal trainers are also excellent and reasonably priced.

Be aware that THRC will not tell you this verbally when you join, but it if you join, you are committing to a full year. Since many gyms no longer force clients into a one-year agreement, you might not read the contract word for word and could make the wrong assumption about cancelation with 30-days notice, which is standard at many other fitness centers these days. This is not possible at THRC, and best-case, they will make you “buy out” your remaining year’s fees. If they communicated this verbally, or had it clearly posted somewhere other than within the fine print of a lengthy membership agreement, I would not be writing this review. I hope this saves someone hundreds of dollars wasted on a membership you might not enjoy enough to be worth keeping for an entire year. I’ve rarely been so disappointed in a local small business.

In response to the reply from this business I’ll reiterate our continued dissatisfaction and disappointment. While my small business has absolutely nothing to do with this issue, I can accurately say that I have never hidden pricing or policies in a contract and then penalized a client for not reading the fine print. My review is fair and accurate. It was 5 am, my husband was trying to hurry to work out with a friend, and he signed where indicated. The person working the desk was on her phone and completely disinterested in the transaction. Nearly zero words were spoken. Should he have read the contract, obviously yes. Did he? No. Was he aware of what he was signing? No. Are all the “notices” mentioned below sufficient? In my opinion, no, since he would have had made a different choice if he knew the agreement contents. Thanks for constantly dropping his name. I’m not sure that is actually beneficial for you in a town this small given his stellar reputation for kindness, compassion, and caring toward his patients, but to each their own. I think if you do a perusal of my nearly exclusively positive Google reviews for other businesses you’ll see just how truly rare a negative review from me is, and what a colossal screw up must have happened for me to feel compelled to write a negative review.

We paid our ridiculous fee, but this doesn’t change the fact that we will never have a positive experience or give a recommendation for your gym. Your reply has done nothing but remind me of just how negative the experience with your staff was.

Been at THRC for almost three months now. My experience has been great. The staff, equipment, and amenities are all amazing. My friends and I love this gym a lot. We have lots of laughs with our friend, Hunter, who is one of the kind employees at THRC Wimberley. This gym is a great place to go after I get out of school and I enjoy socializing with all the friendly people there.

I can't say enough how much I love this gym. Perfectly located and flawless equipment is one thing, for sure. But what makes a gym special to me, is the people who run it. The people who make you feel welcome, who cheer you on and motivate you through whatever your fitness journey is. I've made some wonderful friends here that make every workout a blast, but I have to shout out some folk who've made this place so awesome. I toured this gym a couple of weeks ago, and the staff did an excellent job explaining the layout and all the available equipment. They even gave me a free workout card, which I really appreciated.

Today, I arrived at 5:00 am to use the free workout pass, as the hours listed on the card state that the gym opens at that time. Unfortunately, the gym was still closed. I waited in my car for 30 minutes, along with several other members, and no one showed up to open it.

This was disappointing, especially as I was seriously considering a membership here. However, with my schedule, I need a gym I can rely on to be open as advertised. I’m now uncertain about committing if I can’t count on the gym being accessible during my available hours.

Came to Wimberley for a family emergency for a month. Joined just for the time I was there and this was one the best gyms I've spent time in. The early morning staff were fantastic, professional, and friendly (even at 5am).

Great set of machines and fantastic dumbell rack.

By the second day they knew my name. Excellent customer service and highly recommend.
