Overall it’s a decent gym but they have a room with punching bags and a few other pieces of equipment which they keep locked unless there is a class going on. When I ask if they can open it they say they can’t. They also lack a couple of important pieces of equipment that every other gym I’ve been to has. When I asked if they would look into it they said to email them but I never received anything back.

Rating is for atrocious cancellation policy. It COSTS you to CANCEL! Trufit is a gym stereotype "they make it difficult to cancel"

It's the only major gym with multiple sites in town, and the gyms and instructors are so nice! If it weren't for this policy I think I would give the gym 5 stars for the effort of the employees I've seen and cleanliness of the gym.

However, it's so sad to me that this policy is predatory to me which makes me think there's more under the hood/behind the scenes that I'm not aware of that must not be good with the mentality of the company I'm seeing from this policy.

It intentionally is lazy on the corporate side to push more cost on the memebrs (someone had to make a decision to say yes to this policy and no to a simpler, considerate cancellation policy for their members)

And it preys on people's busy lives requiring a side quest to cancel!

For what genuinely good reason can't you cancel in the gym like so many other 21st centruy gyms? You, Trufit, do the paperwork in office and pay to send the written cancellation by certified mail to yourselves! It's a stinking business write-off! Putting it on the members when they already pay for you, not right in my book, here's the cancellation policies for anyone who needs it.

Trufit Corporate: Please seriously consider changing this policy to let members cancel at least in person in the gym if not also online and file the paperwork digitally and print it out at your office if you want paper. There are 21st century solutions to whatever filing system you want, simple problem solving and consideration for members' time and money I believe would go a long way. Thank you 🌺

THEY DO NOT KEEP THEIR WORD. I had membership though a third party. Which didn’t start until a few days however I asked if I could start my membership early, they said I could sign up for 5 cents and then switch to my membership which I got from the military, time comes I cancel and still get charged the monthly fee, before signing up for the 5 cent membership I was told by lion, and two females at the front that as long as I came in when my membership started with my third party I wouldn’t have to pay the monthly fee. I spoke to lion about this multiple times to try to get refund every time he blew me off and said he’d talk to his manager and call me. Never did. Then he told me I had to come in when the manager was working to talk to her to get my refund. Not worth my time, horrible to make it such a hassle for service members.

I just spent half of my DAMN day on the phone with trufit trying to cancel my membership. The gym itself is notgood, there is NEVERRR soap in the dispenser, bathrooms NEVER clean. I will say the workers are nice for the most part. BUT god forbid if you want to cancel your membership without having to go inside and be harrased by a salesman for wanting to cancel. They tell you the only way to cancel is to MAIL A HANDWRITTEN LETTER ????? That is absurd. I just spent 2 hours on the phone trying to cancel this membership. The Good - Good Gym
The Bad - Pain to cancel and will charge you. I travel for work and had this discussion with a manager before signing up that I’d need a pause and possible cancel in a few months. So I did a 3 month trial. Pause went as planned. Called and canceled, told all good. A few months later, got more charges. Kept calling, kept getting confirmations in canceled, and kept getting charged. Then they sic’d debt collector on me to pay the months I was charged after I had canceled with confirmation. Horrible business practice.

My first impression of TruFit was initially positive. The staff were friendly and the gym facilities were clean. Unfortunately my experience with TruFit now is not so positive. I wanted to try their personal trainer services, but in the contract it says to cancel a thirty day notice is required. That’s fine, I just wanted to try for a month anyways so I told the lady who helped me, Kerin, that I wanted to start the cancellation process so I only would be locked in for the thirty days. She told me deliberately that I would not be able to initiate the cancellation until three days after I signed, so I needed to go back and tell her three days later I wanted to cancel. After reviewing my contract, I noticed no where in the contract did it say I needed to wait three days. ACTUALLY, the contract said if I cancel within three days of signing I am entitled to a full refund. I went in the next day and cancelled for a full refund because I do not appreciate people lying to me just to get my money.

I like trufit, has a great location and a very good variety for equipment. The ladies room is very nice if you are new to working out by yourself.

As of PT Cory Price was a great choice for me, I was struggling with getting a solid routine, no knowing what was good for my specific body type and also nutritional wise. Form is also a very important factor I learned from him and each and every question I had, he was glad to answer! I was worth it.

My experience at TruFit has been a great one. The people and staff that you will meet are all super helpful. Shoutout to Cory Price, who was my personal trainer last summer. When we began training, I was working my way back into shape and was struggling with muscle tightness and back pain. Cory's attention to detail to not only our workout plan, but also to proper technique ensured safe weight training. We were able to identify areas that were causing problems and how to correct them. He recommended stretching and mobility exercises that I have been doing ever since and I am able to get through workouts without any issues! He is an individual who is highly knowledgeable, passionate, dedicated to his craft. A true professional.

Great place to workout. High quality equipment and decent selection of machines; I wish they had more pec decks and leg curl machines though. The classes are fun and engaging, especially with Corey. Training with Corey is always such a blast, he seems very experienced and always brings such a positive energy to the class that inspires me to push myself harder. I have had a great experience here. The receptionist up front are so friendly and instructors are great at what they do. Classes are wonderful Carrie and Keagan have been a great asset in my health.
I have had the pleasure of having (Cory) a PT for 6 months that has guided me on how to use equipment and proper form when using it. He's great at explaining why you should/shouldn't do something to prevent any injuries that could occur. He's great with communication and is a great listener. Cory has been the best personal trainer I’ve ever worked with. I’ve tried several gyms and trainers in the past, but none felt like the right fit until I saw Cory training one of his clients. In that moment, I knew he was the kind of trainer I needed and I’m so glad I was right.

Since working with him, my progress has been incredible. I’ve dealt with nerve damage in my back, recurring shoulder pain that required trigger point injections, and ongoing issues with my IT bands. I’ve been through physical therapy, but nothing has helped me the way Cory has. My mobility has improved more than I thought possible, and for the first time in a long time, I feel like I have a real path forward one that doesn’t involve running back to the doctor for more shots.

What sets Cory apart isn’t just his knowledge and skill, but his care and dedication. He truly listens. He pushes when needed and adapts when necessary. He’s someone you can talk to, someone who hears you out. To me, Cory is much more than a trainer he’s a coach, a motivator, and a solid support system.

If you get the chance to work with Cory, take it. You won’t regret it.

I tried to cancel my membership twice with this gym. Once over the phone and was told I must come in to cancel it. However, I have friends who have cancelled over the phone at Truefit. I went in two months ago before I was leaving town, and “cancelled” my membership. I even clarified with their sales person that it was taken care of. However, I have still been receiving charges. Called again, and now it’s this whole new process that I have to go through to cancel it. This is the most unethical situation I have ever dealt with when it comes to memberships or subscriptions. Don’t make the same mistake.
