I’ve been a member here since February and couldn’t be happier. The atmosphere of a gym really makes or breaks someone’s motivations to come back and I have never felt anything but comfort here (excluding the soreness from a great workout). Staff if always super nice and so are the other members. The equipment is well maintained and the space is always clean.
I worked with Patrick for a few months to boost my confidence and he’s a fantastic trainer and an even better person. He helped me boost my confidence and knowledge when it comes to strength training and continues to be a support even though I’m not doing PT anymore.
I dread the day I have to find a new gym when I leave the island.

The personal training with Tamara is incredible! She is incredibly passionate and enthusiastic, making sessions both fun and productive! She is super attentive and provides for all skill levels. I highly recommend training with Tamara to anyone!

I loved hitting this gym while in town for a month. It’s not huge but not tiny either, and it was never crowded, but always had a half dozen people or so working out when I’d come. Friendly staff. Very clean. Nice locker rooms, showers. Machines and free weights, pretty much anything you’d want. Good prices. I bought the $10 fob so I can come whenever I want, and it’s linked to my account for next year. Can’t ask for much more!

Very disrespectful behavior from the employee.today 01/06/2025 Very cold outside i was infront of the gym. I couldn't open the door.but there is a girl working there,even she seen me also didn't open the door. I knock the door several times but she not even pay attention on me.

I moved for a few months to Galveston and must of had visited all the gyms in the Island and let me tell you Urban gym had an incredible atmosphere, super clean and all the equipment that you need, Its my dream gym wish there were more like it!!!!

The place is small but has all the necessities and very clean. The 24/7 access is a good perk, and feels safe even when there's no one there. The machines are well maintained. LGBT friendly; very comfortable working out there.

I had a bad experience in this place, they have like a package with the main member can add an extra people for an affordable price but they have a bad administration with the payments always we paid on time and my key never had access to the door, the blonde girl from the front desk she is so rude, they gave me a charges I never did. And tried to find a spot for parking your car is a challenge. I never came back to this place.

It's pretty solid gym for the island. It has all the essential machines for a complete body workout. Was a member since 2021, but I believe sometime in 2023 they implemented a new rule, where if your supersetting between two machines that require plate loading then they will hit you with a $5 to $10 re-rack weights fee if someone else jumps on one of the machines you where supersetting on. You can only use one machine at a time

My review is a bad review of my experience while I was there. I was lifting at this gym on and off for about 8 months.. I was told that they were canceling my membership. I asked the lady I cant remember her name.. The darker skin woman, why? She said that I had been stealing drink's. I told her about the time I asked to pay for them when she was at the desk, so was to busy talking to someone, rather it was important or not I don't know. She said that I didn't write them down. I stopped at the desk the other day and asked to pay for 3 drinks and a man at the desk said he would charge me for 3 drink's so I went on with my workout. The man was a new employee. After the lady had cancelled my membership she said she was going to charge me for not racking some weights and got very rude with me and said I called her a brown chic... Which in real term's she is the only brown employee. So I think that the gym miss represent's what it is to liftweights. Maybe that place is just for exercise . They are also very quite in this gym don't be to loud or your out.
