As a parent, I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and care at WOGA Gymnastics. This is now the second time one of my daughters has been injured during class, and not once has a coach or staff member come to notify me while I was onsite. Today, my daughter was hurt, and I only realized something was wrong when we saw her limping toward us after class ended. No explanation, no communication... nothing.

This is not just a minor oversight, it’s a serious failure in responsibility. When a child is injured, the staff should immediately notify the parent, especially if they’re physically present in the building.

Parents: be aware that if your child gets hurt during class, you may not be informed in a timely or appropriate manner. That is not acceptable for any program working with kids, especially one we pay a premium for.

Unless changes are made to ensure better safety and communication, I cannot recommend this gym.

I had a birthday party over the weekend. I would give it a negative 5 if there were an option.

Heat: The gym was very hot, making it uncomfortable for everyone.

Staffing: There were only two staff members handling everything— registration, party setup, cleanup, and coaching the kids during playtime. This resulted in a chaotic experience.

Lost Tablecloth: I accidentally left behind my premium linen tablecloth, which was used for the cake and dessert display table. I have had it for many memorable events (wedding, baby showers, birthdays, etc.). When I called the next day, a lady named Katie didn’t return my call as promised. Instead, she “generously” suggested me search the trash can (after I sent a follow-up email). I find it concerning that a business would assume personal items left behind are "disposable" and irresponsibly offer a suggestion like that - a Trash Can Search Offer (i.e. This Trash Can is ours, dive in and help yourself). Shouldn’t the Trash Can search responsibility lie with the staff who misplaced it?

Given my experience, I would strongly recommend considering ASI for a gymnastics party instead, as they are significantly cleaner and far better organized. Unfortunately, they were already booked for my desired date, which is why I chose WOGA; however, this turned out to be a huge disappointment. I’ve hosted birthday parties for my kids over the past few years, and this was, by far, the worst experience.

The place is amazing! I was really impressed with their recreational classes. The gym is fantastic and spacious enough to accommodate both team and recreational classes.

All coaches have a gymnastics background, so they truly know what they’re doing and how to properly correct the kids. They don’t mix team members, big kids, and small kids all together—everyone has their own equipment. There are enough balance beams for each child to practice on their own, and every child has access to their own bar, which is rare. We have been to nearby gyms and have seen how kids often have to share and wait for a balance beam because it is being used by the pre-team/team or there aren’t enough available. Similarly, they often have only one bar to share. The place is managed very well.

It’s also easy to switch to another class if needed, and they offer makeup classes for recreational students.
I really appreciate that they don’t mix 6-year-olds with 10-year-olds. The younger group has a designated area, so they feel comfortable and can focus on developing their skills. Their program is outstanding and very well-organized.

They provide corrections at every level, often have assistant coaches to help, and most kids are able to perform their elements correctly.

I signed my daughter (9yo) up for gymnastics and tumbling at WOGA about two weeks ago. From the first week home convo to inquire, to her first class, to the interaction and introduction to the coaches and Miss Mary, it has been such a great and attentive conversation experience! The other parents and kids have been kind, cordial and focused. The professionalism, fluidity and punctuation of the staff and how they conduct their classes is exactly what I expected a training facility. I haven’t had the full experience as of yet, but so far I love that my daughter is here and I am so excited to see her progress over the next months. If you’re looking for a good and serious, yet fun gym.. I would recommend WOGA. Me and my daughter have been intrigued by their ACCRO team as well coming from Las Vegas and witnessing many Cirque de Soleil shows.

I have signed up my two daughters (5 and 6 years old) for recreational classes at this location. The place is clean, and although the waiting area is smaller than at their Frisco location, it doesn't feel overcrowded. The staff is very friendly, and they maintain a good coach-to-student ratio. They offer a great program for younger children, have a good make-up policy, and also provide back handspring clinics to help improve skills. Both of my daughters enjoy attending.

It can be challenging for a coach to teach and correct children of different skill levels in a short class, but the coach did a great job. My 6-year-old really enjoys learning the back handspring and front walkover. They rotate between bars and balance beam every other week, and they also do tumble track, tumbling, and stretching in every class. However, since the class is short, there's not much time for conditioning.

The recreational class introduces creative routines on the balance beam, which the kids love. The class is very organized, and the rotations are well-structured. The gym is spacious, providing enough room and equipment for every child and recreational group. The coach also gives corrections, reminding the kids to keep straight arms on the bars, squeeze on the balance beam, and cover their ears during exercises.

The gym offers XCEL and USAG programs, they don’t have TAAF. They also has in-house meet for all recreational levels for inspiration

We love WOGA! We started our kids in gymnastics several months ago and gymnastics day is their favorite day of the week. The coaches are great and Mary is awesome! There have been a couple of times when my 3 year old daughter was in tears because she was nervous about going to class by herself. Each time, Mary picked her up, took her over to her class, and stayed with her until she was comfortable and ready to participate on her own. As a parent, I am so appreciative! I am so impressed with what my kids have learned so far and am looking forward to continuing at WOGA.

My daughter turned 3 at the end of July, at which time we decided to enroll her in gymnastics. As a professional athlete now, my primary concern was to ensure that the fundamentals were not only properly established from the first day but that my daughter not advance until she was ready. Advancing slowly and properly, as needed, is what I was looking for in a gymnastics facility. I’m a HUGE fan of setting extremely good habits with foundational skills. There’s a reason why Champions are born at WOGA - they’re obviously doing something right!

WOGA starts the littles exactly like they should (establishing proper form and foundations), which makes me feel 100% confident in the coaching staff. No matter who is coaching my daughter, each individual coach has shown parallel training from the others, so I know my daughter is receiving consistent coaching.

Communication: LOVE! They continuously send out reminder texts of fun events; monthly newsletters in my inbox; calls during business hours are answered by a live person; if I have a quick question after class, the coach is at the door and absolutely inviting for open dialogue and assistance; when I’ve had a more in depth conversation regarding adding a second class during the week, Mary (WOGA Director) was readily available to give feedback and be my sounding board, etc; my daughter has missed a couple lessons and when I called to see if there was any chance I could sub her in on another class, they were very accommodating.

Class Structure: Again, love it! Class is started with a focus on stretching (so important to just START the habit!), followed by principle skill structure, followed by a couple exercises. The utilization of class time, importance of safety, constructive criticism and keeping things fun is 100%. My daughter BEGS me to go to gymnastics class every.single.day.

Pricing: Inexpensive! Honestly, and I don’t know how competitive their rates are with their surrounding competition, but I would pay $120/mo for once weekly lessons at this age! The quality of lessons for their current rates truly make gymnastics a very affordable activity for younger children.

COVID protocol: Hands down impressed! They make me feel super safe in the decision of attending a public class. They haven’t missed a beat, not once, in temp checks, hand sanitizers entering and exiting, structured seating that maintains social distancing and more.

Previous reviews: I’ve read all the bad reviews and I can personally vouch for WOGA, their instructors and their staff in that they are fantastic and unbiased. I actually overheard a mom complaining the other day (which led me to give WOGA this review) that her child needed to be advancing and doing bigger things and that she was unhappy with her younger child staying in the "littles area" in the back of the gym during its class (which, isn't necessarily how the classes work. Yes, the Littles warm up and will work on principle skill sets in the back, but they also rotate to other places within the gym, all for extremely valid and purposeful reasons). As a pro athlete, I will be the FIRST to tell you that is EXACTLY HOW KIDS GET HURT - when they advance too soon! As a parent, when you pay for your child’s lessons, you are paying a professional in the industry to coach your child... it is crucial that you let the coaches do their job and leave the advancement of your child to the professionals. I fully trust that WOGA and its Coaches have my daughter's best interest at heart. Gymnastics isn’t for every kid so it's equally important that, as a parent, we are focusing on letting our children happily enjoy their classes and solely allowing themselves to determine their involvement (or lack thereof). It is completely unrealistic to expect a Dom Perignon on a Keystone budget.

As soon as my daughter got her feet wet, she expressed a high level of interest in gymnastics so we gladly picked up a second weekly class and couldn't be happier! We will absolutely be a loyal client for as long as our daughter wants to do this and will continue to refer friends!

Started a 3 and 4 year old in classes about a year ago and my experience has been extremely positive. I would recommend for young kids starting off without reservation. Our kids love going and coaches we've had all have great relationship with our kids (even ones they've had just once or twice seem to remember their names and say hi, very impressive).

Regarding their policy on rescheduling classes as I read other reviews on this issue - for us personally the staff has been beyond accommodating with our kids missing and rescheduling many classes. It has never been more than a 30 second phone call to get days changed. Never any hassle or nagging questions just a friendly, 'we got it, see you then'. Note we have changed dates beyond what is acceptable in their policy and still no issue. I would think you'd really have to abuse the policy beyond any reasonable metric if you have an issue on this matter based on my experience.

I was reading these reviews and I wanted to write a review from the child’s perspective. When I first started going here I was 10 years old. At first I knew how to do forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels and, round offs. I had been going there for 1 1/2 years. Now I know how to do forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels and, round offs. None of the lower level coaches are experienced and they favorite certain kids. There are many nights I have fallen asleep crying thinking about how a four year old (paying more) is prioritized and, can do back and front handsprings, back and front tucks and, back walkovers. She’s 4!! I no longer go here and will be looking for another gym.

This place is amazing if you're looking to introduce your child to actual gymnastics. Coaches demonstrate technique and work with even the littlest ones; no child is left to just run around and play - there are plenty of less expensive places to do that! ;) I've seen tremendous improvement in my daughter's physical abilities since starting here a little over four months ago at the age of 3. The front desk staff is always friendly and accommodating. They offer seasonal camps during school breaks which are fantastic and they even have a nice sitting area for parents with free wifi.

UPDATED: 1/23/2018 My daughter is now 5 and she is still with this center. Everything is still awesome and my daughter enjoys every moment she has with the class. She has not skipped any classes since the first day she started here. She can do a lot more tricks now. She is definitely stronger and more confident now.
Thanks all the trainers and staffs for the dedication you put in this place.

My 4 yrd old daughter is on her 3rd month here. She could not speak English but the instructor and the Recreational Director Mary have been working with us to make sure she could follow. I was so much appreciated the dedication and the patience the staffs had to provide my daughter the best training. My daughter has always been so excited after each session. I do not know how I can provide any negative feedback to this center.

Thanks WOGA.

My daughter was there for the summer camp I took her because she always wanted to be in gymnastics . She had a lot of fun and that's all that matters. I would like to put her in a full-time gymnastics class but she definitely will not be going back to this one. First of all I saw in one of the coaches physically pull a girl by her arm and push her which is very unacceptable and I told the staff about it . Then my daughter told me on her last day that one of the coaches are very silly because he likes to tickle them Which is really weird and very scary . Overall she had a good time but I fear if she were to stay she would get hurt In many different ways.

My kids are 6 (boy) and 4 (girl) and have been coming here for almost 2 years. I have mixed feelings about this place. There is no doubt that it has produced some awesome gymnasts but I feel it isn't the place for an average or normal child who is wanting to learn some gymnastics skill. I got my kids enrolled here because they are little and have lots of energy. They love doing cart wheels, forward rolls, somersaults... So I thot it would be perfect to have this as a Saturday morning activity where they can dissipate their energy. The environment is nice. The equipment is fine too. Though I have seen some places that have indoor zip lines which I thot was pretty awesome. The staff leave much to be desired. They do not provide much feedback about the child's progress. In the last 1.5 years I was never approached by any instructor with any kind of feedback about how they felt my kids were doing or what they need to be working on. Every time I approached them with the concern that I don't feel they are able to master a certain skill as I observe, it was met with a generic reply of " they are doing fine", which was frustrating sometimes as I was putting in time, energy and money into this but I wasn't able to see the desired results. My kids were pretty seriously injured twice in the last year and it wasn't reported to me which was again very upsetting because the left half of my son's face was bruise badly and no one had the courtesy to approach me with that information. Infact one of them was very rude when I complained that no one told me about this incident. I still kept my cool and we still kept coming here because it's super close to where I live but I feel that as other mom's have said, it feels like you are paying for the training of the higher level, older kids. If your child is awesome, I'd definitely recommend this place but if he or she is average, you are better off taking them to some indoor play place than here as little effort is put into improving the weaker kids than is placed into polishing the already skilled children. Hope this helps. Today is our last class at this facility.

I have LOVED having my three kids at WOGA. It is evident to me that the spirit of excellence trickles all the way down to the toddler classes. They have worked with us so generously to find times that work for all of my kids at one time. I have been to other gyms, and I am so impressed with the skills my children are learning. Every drill has recognizable benefit for future skills. My kids are constantly moving. I can see improvement literally every week. The instructors are knowledgeable. I can see them offering corrections to my children when they need better technique and they continually praise good effort. My kids can't wait to get there, and want to go more often...all good signs of great coaching and atmosphere. Here's what my kiddos have to say about WOGA:

Elijah (3): Good!
Boaz (5): SO AWESOMELY GOOD!
Velvet (7): AMAZING! I use a lot of effort and I want to win medals.

This place is the worst. The instructors were rude and disorganized. It seems like all they care about is making a little extra cash. My daughter was insulted and yelled at. The person managing the email communications was rude, and sarcastic. We told them we were leaving and because we didn't do it "in writing" by the first they charged us for an entire month of services we never received. (even though we told them prior to the first). When I brought this to their attention they became rude and sarcastic. I ended up paying for the month just so I didn't have to deal with those truly despicable people. My daughter hated going there. From the way she talked I got the distinct impression they were bullying her. Gives me the creeps just thinking about that place. I'd rather slit my wrist and do pushups in acid than take my child back to that environment.
