It is a good gym, lots of free bar and universal equipment. I have been going here 7 years. It has a basketball court, sauna, lap pool, aerobics room, lots of bikes, elevator and more. I pay $25 per month, I can use it as much as I want any day of the week, even on most holidays. I recommend it to my family so it must be good.

This is a nice clean gym and I was pleasantly surprised as the locations will vary on upkeep and equipment. The equipment seem to be maintained well and in good working order. I did not see any service tickets on any while I was there. The location is convenient to SLC and easily accessible.

The cardio maintenance man is at the Murray location about 5 days each week. There is another gym in Utah that does not have a cardio maintenance man in the building hardly ever. When you look at their competitors look for tags on broken out of service cardio equipment and compare with the full cardio maintenance at Murray24 fitness. Trolley square 24 excellent Also With new year's resolution's coming January you wants gym without all the broken repair tags on them. Ask your future gym if they have a full time maintenance man in their building or if they have to call in another company maintenance man that is not their company. Look for new Cybex arc trainers and treadmills with built in fans in all machines
Built in fans in summer heat are important. Look for Stairmaster with built in fans. At your future gym why settle for cardiovascular machines without built in fans ? All gyms are not equal when it comes to.cardio machines. See Murray. Cardio before going to other Murray gym's .

The childcare & management here is horrific.
My 5 year old was attacked (very large scratch, which scabbed over, extending from her throat across her chest) by another child & nothing was done. Ben (manager) told me he was β€œlooking into it” then proceeded to do nothing; not even a return a phone call. I was told by other employees this same child who attacked my child, had already been banned in the past & had attacked others, including an attendant. Very dangerous place for children & the lack of concern is absolutely disgusting & scary.
If you don’t use the childcare, the neglect on cleanliness is baffling (to the mind & nostrils) as well.

They lied to me about canceling my membership. I was laid off a few months back and told the manager I would be unable to afford the membership while hunting for jobs- money is tight enough when you're unemployed, let alone unemployed and paying out of pocket for medical treatments that insurance won't cover. The manager said no worries, he'll freeze the account and, if I don't contact them by the expiration of the contract I had signed, they'd simply cancel it- new renewal, they claimed.

I just got charged a membership fee- one more expensive than the last- a full month after the contract was supposed to run out. I haven't signed any additional paperwork, been contacted, or received any notifications of a membership renewal. Ironically, I just got hired at a new job, and was about to contact them to sign me up again because I had liked the facility and the equipment well enough. However, if they're demented enough to try to trick a sick, unemployed medical worker, I sure as hell won't be recommending them to anybody. I'm cancelling membership ASAP.

I love this gym! It's always clean, and generally stocked up. Recently got all new cardio equipment so there's tons of brand new treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes and some odder ones that make for great workouts! I go late at night and never find it a mess.

Sometimes a business can be too corporate. My experience here will explain just that.

I just wanted to check out the gym on a day pass since I was going to be moving in from Los Ángeles. I couldn’t since I have an out of state ID.

Guess what?! I ended up getting a membership at a better gym at a better price point. GO VASA!!!!

Don't come here if you plan on using the basketball court for any reason. It's reserved for youth basketball every night of the week during peak hours. I asked the manager about it and he rudely told me I can drive to another location. First off, that location is 15-20 minutes away during rush hour, second I'm a paying member yet I can't utilize the features I've paid for!? The gym itself is sub par at best, and the bathrooms are a downright nightmare. Do yourself a favor and don't even bother with this place.

Figured I’d try this location, not the best. Not worth the price. As show on their picture, the basketball court is always reserved. They close it during those hours, and many other times. I’ve only been to shoot around a few times. It appears they rent the court out to kids teams in the area... I’ve never seen a gym renting out their facilities and not allowing members to use them. Are they going to rent out the dumbbells next, maybe the bench press?

Its a gym with "decent" equipment if not broken for months on end, but the level of cleanliness and rudeness of the staff make this place horrible. Bathrooms are never cleaned, toilets are always broken, trash is left for days, and you can visually see the grime built up on every piece of equipment in the facility. These issues plus the rudeness of the staff and lack of safety protocols made me cancel my membership. Maybe this place should take example from the gyms elswhere especially the 24s in Southern California... I had cleaner gym equipment in a cave in Afghanistan than here.

When you lift at a gym and expect the pulleys to actually work and not be sticky. They are ALL sticky. Need lube or some sort of help. Could use some TLC to work normally. Really quite annoying because it's not the resistance that you expect.

My friends and I have routinely come in right after our 9-5 jobs to play basketball. We have been unable to play as of late because they started allowing some uncle Rico's to reserve the gym so they can "train" children. The only reason we signed up at 24 hour was to play basketball. Being a paying member I have now had my reason to join 24 hour fitness taken away. If this doesn't change then myself and many others will be looking for a new gym to attend.

Looked for an all night gym option. This seemed to be the option. Have been to three of the locations in town. Love them!! A few butt/ab machines I miss from my old gym. But they have a couple interesting calf options I have seem. And this location has pool/jacuzzi/steam/sauna!! Bonus!! Great parking.

They kids day care is always full when I go. I like the classes and that's when the day care is at it capacity. I don't understand why the gym management doesn't plan for this. It's so annoying to get ready for the gym get the kids ready and then to be shut down and miss the class all because of poor management.

I regularly go to this gym because they have a pool but they kind of suck at maintaining their equipment. There's always broken treadmills and bikes with or without signs on them. I used to go to Planet Fitness and their up keep of equipment was much better. I will say, other than the pool, a good thing about this gym is its less crowded than others.

I needed to cancel due to financial issues. I went in the very beginning of last month. I signed a paper to cancel the membership. The next day I get a call from the manager asking me if I wanted to cancel. I said yes and asked her if I would see a charge for the month of May. Low and behold I look at my account and there's the charge. Now I have to wait for a manager. Follow through sucks

I went in to try out their online free 3 day pass after signing up with my email and was denied when I went in. They said they wouldn't honor the pass because and I quote "since it's Easter and you're a Vasa fitness member"...??? They said that they could let me in for $20. It looks nice but if that's how they reason I really don't think much of their establishment. The free pass email I received mentions nothing about restrictions for being a member of another gym. They have longer longer hours for kid care vs the kid care for Vasa gym and from what I saw from the front desk the gym looked small but a lot cleaner.

I really feel bad for this company. I had been a member, tried to pause my membership because I was going to be out of town for awhile for work, I told them I would call when I was ready to get back on. They paused my membership for like 2 months and then just started charging me again. When realized what was happening, I called them, and they wouldn't refund any of the charges! Amazing! Being a business owner myself, I was really disappointed with their customer service overall. I'm sure the employees were just following protocol, but that just means the problems are in management. Anyways after all this I canceled my membership and joined a new club and WOW, what can I say, I should have canceled for a lot more reasons than I actually did. If you are a member are 24 hour fitness, do yourself a favor and cancel now and move on, the grass really is greener on the other side. If you're not a member yet, then run, run, as fast as you can!

This 24 hour fitness is nice. It is not overly crowded and you rarely need to wait for equipment to become available. The frustrating thing is that the management continues to change. With the most recent change, the front desk staff seems to have changed dramatically. One of the most personal workers who actually got to know the members is no longer working there (reasons unknown but it happened around the same time that management changed). It appears that the new manager hired several women who seem to be more concerned with flirting with the male members and trainers. They appear to be highly incompetent and it appears that they were hired solely based on physical reasons.

Another huge issue that I have noticed with this club is that they are often out of sanitizer and paper towels upstairs on a regular basis. The downstairs is always filled, but for some reason they are incapable of walking upstairs to ensure that it is filled, especially during the most busy times of the day. The sad thing is that there have been several times in which I have brought it to the staffs attention, but they failed to replace the paper towels or sanitizer during the hour and a half or so that I was in the gym. They were however capable of standing at the front desk and doing nothing or shooting the breeze with other staff/trainers.

Some reviewers must be severe OCD. Yes, the gym isn't a sterile environment where you can work on microchips, but it's a GYM for crying out loud! People are going to use it, it's gonna get smelly and dirty. But as far as gyms go, this one seems a lot cleaner and less smelly than others (I'm thinking specifically of the Sugarhouse one...) They've separated out their equipment so it's not just a full haphazard pile of stuff. Mostly weight stuff down bottom, treadmills and stuff up top. Just seems like air flow works better here, the set up feels more welcoming too, less cramped. I go for the classes mostly, which if you only used the gym for that you're getting a deal. One of their Zumba instructors, Veronica is fantastic. I've seen all body types there, just doesn't seem like people judge at this gym. Great lift instructors too. One cycling class we had, she wasn't a terrible instructor, but not great either. Other than that, not many complaints. Again, it's a gym. If you must have a completely sterile environment, you may be better off investing in a treadmill and staying at home.

This Club, while impressive in its offerings, is constantly dirty. Somewhere between the pool and the ladies locker room there is a funk that comes and goes in strength but is almost always present. This should be no surprise; lack of detailed cleaning is standard at this club, if you can't clean the floor boards (easy) why would you do the kind of intense cleaning it takes to properly maintain a pool and locker area? This club has a lot of members, but having been one for several years now it's easy to see they don't want to put money back into the club. The staff is nice and polite, but extremely lazy (no doubt grossly underpaid). They stand around chit chatting while spray bottles and paper towel machines sit empty and trashcans are overflowing. It’s simple to see what’s going on here. The staff has no incentive to take ownership in the club (and who can blame them really, they’d have to have a livable wage for that)? They exist primarily to sign up new members and make sure no one walks off with equipment. Were this club not so close to my house, I would have changed a long time ago. NOTE TO OWNERS: If I walk into the club and lift a spray bottle and see year-old dust bunnies, then nothing is clean the club is a sty. It means the fine cleaning isn’t being done. Why do you think I give a crap about the spray bottles? I religiously spray down everything for fear I’ll pick up a staph infection. I don’t use the pool area, not since that one day when I found a member shaving in the steam room. You may think this harsh or believe that since other people aren’t complaining I just have high standards, but I’ve reported this to your managers for YEARS. I’m posting this now because you emailed me asking for feedback. I’m putting my feedback here because I want you to actually DO something. Oh and one more thing, spend another $50 and put a freaking clock on every wall. Would it kill you to make it so that I can see a minute hand from every station?
