Great place to rock climb with friends! Super beginner friendly and would recommend to experienced climbers also! Mightβve lost my tooth on a lead climb but it was my fault sooo lmao

Love this place! It's a fantastic local climbing gym, with reasonable prices and awesome route setting. I climb outdoor for as many months as possible, but when the Utah cold and dark comes in, I go straight here. It's not the size to gawk at on a Youtube video, but they get a lot done with the space they have, and even with regular twice-a-week attendance, I'm never even close to running out of options. Bouldering, top rope, and lead are all incredible!

Love this place! I have been climbing here since it opened over 20 years ago. Still just as awesome as it was back then. Great routes, good variety of levels. Has a bouldering area, lead climbing and top rope. Highly recomend!!!

We love the Quarry! My wife and I have a membership. I like that it's consensus graded. It can get quite crowded at popular times and it's not very big. But there's usually always a spot where you can climb. The different routes/problems are also pretty crowded, especially in the bouldering area - but kudos for making the most of your space.

My local climbing gym, love the routes, refreshed frequently, imaginative, fun, challenging. Excellent monthly membership price. Great music rotation, you can tell they know good music. Friendly, professional staff, clean facility. Mountainworks shop offers great deals on gear and is run by climbing legend - Darren Knezek, look up his routes on mountain project app. Love this gym!

I honestly had a great experience here! It's safe, and there's lots of different routes, so there isn't too much stress if it's busy.
If you're a college student with 0 equipment, it is a little expensive to rent everything, but it's honestly a blast.

Best place to go for climbing and bouldering. Downstairs is a friendly welcome and the ropes are in awesome condition. They also have a bouldering place where you can climb and have fun. Even more, they have a shop downstairs that you can buy stuff for a good price. Love this place!

Great place to climb. They have bouldering, rock climbing, and lead climbing routes. You can trade in your keys while you're there to get a loaner belay device as well. They offer rental equipment so no worries if you don't have gear. They are putting in new routes every week so you won't get bored. The only bad thing is it smells like dirty feet but that's about it (kind of typical for rock climbing gyms).

Great place. Even when itβs really busy youβll still find lots of routes open. Saturday mornings are really busy but still fun and the day pass lasts all day so you can leave for lunch or a rest and come back to keep climbing later in the day.

Decent gym but getting lead certified is really weird. They charge you $5 to try to get certified which is quite strange considering you are already paying to climb on their walls anyway. And there is an oral exam that has some odd questions. I've been lead climbing for awhile and I just didn't know the name of something so they wouldn't certify me. Other than that, it's an okay gym.

Climbing is OK and price is very reasonable. My complaints are that theyβre not open until 10 Most days, so I canβt go before work, and that the lead wall gets closed off when the climbing team is there, which I think is super lame.

Super fun rock gym. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, lots of fun climbs. Plenty of climbs for beginners or casual climbers, as well as some more challenging routes. Awesome bouldering loft with a cool structure for some creative climbing routes. Also has auto belays for solo climbers.
Went here with my fiancΓ© and some friends. Had an awesome time. Only got a day pass because weβre not local, but were still able to enjoy the climbs and flash a good chunk. There were some that might be fun to project. Would definitely go back.

Decent gym but thereβs some big problems. They often donβt open till 10am which is pretty late for a gym. They also have massive amounts of children filling the entire gym during the busiest time (when most of their members get off work and school). The kids are part of a climbing team/club program that they run for extra cash. They close the bouldering area for a week at a time about twice a year for competition setting. I complained once and they told me the competition pays for new holds. I get it, they need money to stay open and these are all ways to cut cost or make extra cash. But I donβt see that money being put in anyway. Itβs probably the dirtiest gym. I donβt know if the mats have ever been cleaned. I rarely see new holds. This is not a serious gym. Best for youth groups and after school kids programs but not best for adults who want a climbing gym.
UPDATE: after a couple of years at the quarry I canceled my membership. Iβll be taking the frontrunner to momentum gym now.

I've climbed here for a long time and I am disgusted lately. The floors are so bad. Full of mud, clumps of hair and whatever else you can imagine. I asked the front if they had a vacuum and they do I'm just not sure why they don't use it. I know they haven't been cleaned in at least a month. I go two to three times a week and it's progressively getting worse. Please for the love clean

Iβve been climbing at the quarry for quite some time now. The people and community are probably one of the best parts of coming here, when I had first started getting into rich climbing I was surprised how many people would offer to show me techniques and ways to improve my form and encourage me to return. In many ways this place fosters healthy relationships in my day to day life and gave me a great workout.
That being said, Iβve been to many gyms at this point and can say that the walls both bouldering and ropes are some of the best in the area. They change up the courses fairly frequently, and do a good job on making routes the community likes.
If you are in the Orem Provo area and need a new gym give the quarry a shot.

The Quarry is great but small Itβs very clean and well maintained. New routes are being added frequently. The workers and people who go to this gym are very friendly. I met the owner as well; he is extremely friendly and engaging to talk to, he even offered to show us some tips for climbing. The route difficulty are always up for consideration as well allowing anyone to scan the QR code and enter what they think the route difficulty should be. I just wish it was bigger and had more options for strength training. Overall itβs a great place to begin your climbing journey.

Very disturbed when I came here tonight for a date night. We understand that masks are required, and we respectfully followed the rules, but am shook by the many posters posted on the walls with a picture of a cartoon individual pointing a gun in my direction with the phrase βIF YOU DONβT KEEP YOUR NOSE COVERED, YOU ARE GOING TO FIND YOURSELF IN A WORLD OF PAIN.β Definitely not going back or recommend bringing young children here until these posters are taken down. Great spot for date nights or to take children to. I personally prefer to Boulder without climbing ropes or harnesses and they have a whole floor dedicated to that. They have coupons occasionally that come in local mailers that save you $ itβs kind of pricey and honestly I wish they had hourly rates because itβs a tough workout even to go for 20 minutes. My kids love doing the whole experience with ropes and harnesses and they always seem to have friendly people around to help first timers and people like me that need a refresher on belaying from time to time.

Itβs a great place to go and climb in the winter. Kind of pricey but when there is no where else to go itβs great. Friday is free friend day so itβs alway jam-packed. Smells pretty sweaty some days. They keep the climbs fresh and change them up every 1-2 months just long enough to tackle and beat the problem. Staff is nice and not overbearing but they are helpful and will correct you if youβre doing something dangerous. Would definitely recommend to a friend. I go 1-2x per week.
I would give 5 stars if they had some way to periodically freshen up the building, someway to make it smell nicer.
Edit: the building does smell a lot nicer now. Your do have to register online for a spot for COVID restrictions. But itβs nicer not being so crowded
