Steam room has been down for weeks now. I wouldn’t have wrote a review about it because I understand how some parts can take an awhile to get in. The main reason is I called in before leaving my house to determine which location to drive to and the lady put me on hold to check and said it was open, it is still closed. Disappointing to say the least.

I absolutely love the West Jordan location! I love taking Adam’s studio red class every Saturday and Tuesday and Jami in between days.The staff in kids care have been so welcoming, kind, and caring in which makes all of the difference for us moms that freak out when having to leave our children with strangers. They are always on top of the communication when my child is in need. Also, the staff at the front desk are always supper dope always ready to help in every way. I have been to different locations and West Jordan Vasa is the place to be:)

The gym has everything you need, but the the instructors are where the real value is, especially Adam. Take a class from Adam and you won't be disappointed! I'm a fitness class junkie and this guy is the BEST. Great energy and class format. He knows how to make you feel welcome, even if you're a blob working out for the first time in a decade. Adam for the win!!

Adam Dastrup is incredible. I first met him as my Studio Red coach and now he’s also my personal trainer. That’s how impactful he’s been on my fitness journey. I even started attending classes at South Jordan just to keep training with him. His energy fills the room and every class is uplifting, motivating, and empowering.
Adam makes sure everyone feels welcomed, safe, and pushed in the best way, whether it’s your first class or your hundredth. He’s built a true community and it shows. You leave feeling stronger, more confident, and genuinely supported, not just physically but mentally too. Adam goes above and beyond and VASA thrives because of it.

They are terrible with payments. They literally overcharged me when I asked to cancel my plan through the app. I did not go for two months because I was hospitalized and they charged me for annual, monthly, and cancelation fee. I find it extremely disrespctful and unethical to do that. I never used the plan and it was around $160 lost.

If you like to swim, this location is not the location for you. The pool is always closed. But what makes things even worse is that the app is never updated to remove the water fitness class from the schedule. So, unless you take the time to call in every time before class and go through the headache of trying to navigate the plethora of prompts before you can actually reach a live person, you can easily waste a trip to the gym just to find out that class has been canceled because the pool is closed. Apparently, the General Manager is the only one who can update the app? But the General Manager isn’t there to update the app. Inefficiency at its finest. People are busy. Making time to go to a fitness class is hard enough for people with tight schedules, but then adding time to call in just to see if the class has been canceled is burdensome!! Imagine how the class instructors feel! Providing staff access to update the app would be a quick and easy solution. Get your program together for crying out loud.

Avoid? This location has limited amenities anyway—no massage chairs or tanning. But even the stuff they have on paper never seems to all be working. Something major is always closed or broken.

This is a good Vasa. It doesn’t have all the amenities others do, but it has great classes and is never over busy. My family south of here complains that their Vasa gyms are crazy busy to the point of having to wait in a line for treadmills! I love the classes here. While pregnant, I would do cycle in the mornings and I think it was Emily (?), she was the sweetest, best instructor.

I’ve got the studio membership and I absolutely love the classes. I took them even while I was pregnant because the studio coaches adjusted and modified exercises so I can do them safely. Jamie and Nicole are just amazing and super motivating coaches. There’s always a good group of people so you’re driven to push yourself beyond your own limits. They recently had a studio challenge and it was so fun trying out different types of things like studio flow yoga.

Adam Dastrup is seriously the best! I’ve been doing Studio Red at VASA for a while now, and Adam is a big reason I keep coming back. His energy is always through the roof, and he somehow makes even the toughest workouts fun. He’s super hands-on — always checking form, giving helpful tips, and pushing you in the best way. He’s also just a really kind, down-to-earth person who clearly cares about everyone in the class.
I was so impressed by his coaching in Studio Red that I decided to start training with him one-on-one — and it was honestly the best choice I could’ve made. I’ve gotten stronger and more confident since working with him both in class and on the floor. VASA is lucky to have him!

Pretty frustrating to take a cold shower for a second day in a row! Always out of soap in the shower. Toilet seat broken off, no toilet paper on multiple occasions! No bench in changing room. 2nd changing room door doesn't lock! Hot tub is 50/50 if you are lucky it's working. Get it together VASA!

I’m updating my review! Since they fired Linda the Kidcare has been a better place! There’s no more favoritism to certain kids. ALL kids get the equal amount of attention they deserve! I love Moiryah, and both Ashlee’s! These girls are amazing and I appreciate them all!
The only thing that’s starting to irritate not just me but all other moms who go to Kidcare are THE NUMBERS!! We shouldn’t have to fight our way to get a spot into Kidcare. You use to be able to schedule the day before, sometimes the day of but now you have to fight to get a spot 2 weeks in advance, right as the times open. This is BS! This gym is about to lose a severe amount of moms and dads who bring their kids here. FIX THE DAMN PROBLEM or open up Taylorsville again!

I am the gym gal that only goes to group fitness classes, so everything else is really outside the scope of this feedback. I want to show up and not plan out what I’m going to do. I just need a boss coach to tell me to lift heavier when I’m doubting my strength, run faster when I want to stop and remind me to take a recovery day when I need it the most.
So with that, bringing studio classes to chain gyms is an amazing idea! Really the biggest reason I switched from EoS. Pretty please prioritize the expansion of the WJ location to include studio flow and studio lift. It has so much potential and could be a one stop location. I don’t want to go to SoJo if I don’t have to.
Also, can we get rid of the no show charges? It’s quite petty and not a good business practice to maintain loyal customers. Seems like everyone is being punished for the few that abuse the system. I understand that it was not the intention, but it is being perceived that way. And I know what you’re going to say, “but Diana, just give us a call and we’ll waive it.” Here’s the thing VASA, I don’t want to call you or email you like I’m back in grade school excusing an absence. I don’t want to tell you why my day went to sh** and I couldn’t make it. If it’s truly an issue, then switch to drop-in only or have IT flag 10+ no shows. Then give them a call and do a wellness check, like “yo Dee, saw you’re struggling a bit, can I order you an Uber?”
Overall this location is great! Thanks for giving me space to burn off some energy. Lovin’ all the fitness coaches. Nicole: fantastic 👍 , Melissa: amazzing 🙌 Adam: solid, his positive energy is contagious. He’s someone you want to protect at all costs 😄 👍👍. Take care of your coaches so they can thrive and provide a platform that they can succeed on.
Last request: can we get a 7am Studio class on Sunday? Why are there no options at this location??

Vasa is such a great gym. Studio Red is fantastic really helps motivate and push myself. I also do personal training with Jami who is so awesome. She motivates me and pushes me to help me with my goals. I also take her Studio Red classes and if I pick a lower weight she reminds me that I can do better than that which is just so awesome. All the credit for my success goes to her for pushing me. I couldn't do it on my own. It only let's me give 5 stars but it deserves more. I also take Adam's class and sometimes Jessica's both are amazing. The only thing I don't like in the past couple of weeks is that they switched the class cancelation time from 8 to 12 hours before. I work construction and since my schedule varries I have a hard time knowing what classes I could make. The classes fill up so quick sometimes and so you have to book them early

I've been a member with Vasa for about 7 years now. I've been to several different locations and this location is definitely my favorite. The staff are always friendly. The equipment is well maintained with a good selection. If something breaks down it's usually fixed within the next day or two. The facility is kept cleaner than a lot of the other locations. Usually almost never overcrowded if you go early. Not too bad in the evenings either.. it's not the closest location to where I live but I go the extra distance on the bus because I like them. Would definitely recommend.

This is my new favorite vasa! There are plenty of machines and I never had to wait for a specific workout. The GM is phenomenal, she was making her rounds making sure everything was in order. They also have brand new basketballs and the process to check them out was effortless. Highly recommend going to this gym!

Been coming here for 14 years. The transition from Golds to VASA was a positive upgrade. Since then VASA has continued to implement positive changes, especially in regards to the arrangement of equipment into a more rational order for cardio and resistance training. Along with those changes the equipment is kept clean and in working order. I am very pleased with my VASA membership.

I am a recent member at VASA and must say I enjoy the cleanliness, variety of workout opportunities, as well as the coaches/instructors. Adam is by far my favorite and most motivating coach in studio red classes. This is a huge shout out to him, because coming from the business world of owning my own business and having many many people work for me, I see the value VASA has with Adam if they grasp the opportunity of using Adam's expertise to teach and train other coaches how to have successful classes. I have attended many studio red classes with different coaches at different locations, and Adam is inspiring, motivating, and has what it takes to turn many of the struggling classes other coaches and locations have into successful experiences for members! Upper management at VASA should realize what they have with Adam, and create an opportunity to utilize his skills to train other coaches and locations for success. I have been to Orange Theory classes as well and observed how their coaches and program works for their success. Adam is one of the best opportunities VASA possesses to kick their program with their coaches and classes into a new gear! I have not only observed other locations struggle with classes being filled, but I've also witnessed the low energy and lack of motivation other coaches bring to their classes. Again, as a business owner who understands that value people bring to my business, I see what value Adam brings to VASA! What an opportunity that sits in the lap of VASA, and I hope that upper management see what they have in him. Adam is VASA's ticket in creating more success across the vast VASA locations! By far the best Vasa in Utah, with all the new team members and the new management. The environment is more homie and the staff and are amazing, not to mention the newer studio red classes with Adam and Jami leading the way with helping people get better, over all worth it and the great part is as well is the Personal training that you can take, I would highly recommend Jami as your personal trainer, she is by far the best at it, she makes it fun and enjoyable plus she will push you to your absolute limit and she will build you.

I have really loved coming to work on myself and be able to feel and see the changes in my physical and mental health. I have a Studio membership and, while I sooooo so so wish the WJ location also had studio flow and massage stuff. However, it’s okay because I really enjoy going to the Studio Red classes, especially when Jami’s the instructor. She’s amazing and makes the class so fun. She makes sure that we have proper form, which was one of my biggest anxieties with even going to the gym. I feel like this class has helped to give me tools to feel confident with the equipment outside of the studio class. I’ve been begging, like, everyone to come with me because I love it so much and want to share.

Vasa of West Jordan, Utah is my go to gym. The staff is welcoming, supportive, knowledgeable and friendly. I have been a member since moving here from SanDiego, Calif and highly recommend you join and make this your home gym. I love coming to this class. Been coming for a few years! As of 3/15 I am 3 classes short of 300. Its a circuit training class. Weights, and cardio smushed into an hour. Favorite teachers are Adam, Savanna, Jami They always are upbeat and the music is so motivating.

If I could give negative stars I would. I canceled my membership and for two years they continued to charge me. It’s an account I never check cause I didn’t use. The money ran out and went to collections about $250. When I called they were very unprofessional and would not do anything about it. They said I need proof when I went in and signed the documents to cancel and they lost the paperwork. They are the most shady pile of crap company ever. Please don’t go here or any vasa.

I’ve recently started doing personal training with coach Jami a few weeks ago, and it has been great! She is really good at communicating with me about scheduling and what workouts I need to do. She’s really good at pushing you through the training sessions, even when you feel like you’re going to die. I loved every second I was there! I made an amazing friend in the Manager Matthew. He gave me a tour of the entire gym, I got the opportunity to do an in-body scan, and he even gave me tips for a better diet, health, and wellness. He was very respectful, helpful and was a great listener to the many questions I had. I might have to come back and see if I can catch a session with him as my trainer haha!!! Updated 2/17/25- they have done a great job of keeping the swimsuit machine working. The sauna is broken at the moment, but overall, it's a great gym, clean, and friendly staff.
99% of the time, the swimsuit drying machine "Suitemate" is broken. They say, "I'm on it, boss," and then 2 weeks goes by.. still broken every day. Then it works for a week and.. broken again. I understand that's not the gyms equipment. However, it's their responsibility to source reliable equipment and make sure the equipment that they do have runs properly. Poor management, IMO
3/19/23- Update! Several weeks after the top section
It's now been over a MONTH that you have let the swimsuit machine sit useless in the locker room. I have mentioned this to employees every single day. "We called someone," they say. I'm going to update this review each week with the date shown to prove how long it takes to fix. I don't feel bad about the 1 star review as I have told staff a good 25 times to fix it.

My wife and I absolutely love this location. It’s always clean and well maintained. It’s also bigger than the other locations in our area, and even though it gets busy, we feel like we never have to wait for the machine that I want. The KidCare is spectacular - and we truly feel that our two-year-old is adored by Kayla and the rest of the staff in there. Strongly recommend this location!

I love going to this gym. There isn’t much that they don’t have! From a nutritional shop to the steam/sauna/hot tubs. Plus the basketball court if for some extra cardio! The only thing that could improve is the overall cleanliness of the men’s locker room, you’ll find that most places though. (:

Tried this VASA for the first time yesterday, and I was pretty disappointed. The gym was noticeably dirty and unorganized, and the cardio deck (outdated treadmills and small/old TVs) and locker room were especially bad. Honestly, not what I expected when switching from Planet Fitness—the West Jordan PF is miles ahead. Hoping to see some serious improvements in 2025.

When I went to the gym last week I went to pick up my son and two workers were just hanging out at the front desk talking while their third was seeming to do all of the work. I overhead some rude and completely disrespectful comments regarding a customer who had just left the room. One was named Maddie or Madison and the other Morriah, not sure who the third was but kudos to her for sticking through with such unprofessional peers!

What is there to say about Adam Dastrup that hasn't already been expressed. He is one of the most wonderful humans I have had the pleasure to meet. Not only does he have a kind soul, but he will push you to your limit while supporting you every step of the way. Adam is the only reason why I go to the gym. My wife and I follow him to the other VASA locations and sign up for STUDIO RED just because he is the one coaching the classes. Never in my life did I ever think I would sign up for a personal trainer, and yet, here I am in my 5th month with Adam as my coach. As parents to three young children, our lives are busy-yet, we choose to spend what free time we do have going to Adam's classes. We will even book multiple classes just because he is coaching. If he is subbing a class, we are there. If you have been lucky enough to know Adam, you know that he will truly change your life for the better. Adam recently took over the Thursday at 9am class, and we have adjusted our schedules just to go to his class. It's a sincere request that he take over that class-as it is during the time when kidcare is opened. We would attend on Friday's as well if Kidcare was available. Adam will always believe in you, even when you don't always believe in yourself. His high energy is encouraging and motivating; while his music is always on point. You know you're attending an Adan RED class just on the music alone. He joins in with you to give you motivation when you need it the most. Adam will not only be your coach, but also your friend.

Do you like looking for plated weights? Then Vasa in West Jordan is your gym. Each photo is a different piece of equipment with almost no weights to be found. Personally, I prefer a gym with weights. This place has always been a joke and nothing changes. EOS is a joy.

This gym needs to update your phone numbers both to the front desk staff and the Kidcare. Both lines disconnect when dialed. The phone number in the vasa app seems to be incorrect and it would be great to have a direct number to Kidcare.

I love VASA and the Studio Red class!!! I started last year and couldn’t do straight leg push-ups. Now I can do a set of 15. I can see definition. It’s so exciting! This place is very unsantiary, and the weights are all over the place and it just never seems to be picked up. I saw a mouse running around the female locker room. I joined VASA at this location in January of this year. While I would like to give a higher rating, I feel I am being generous with two stars. The employees are friendly and most of the time will welcome you as you enter and wish you a good day when you leave or thank you for coming in, that is the positive aspect.
The layout of the gym is suboptimal as you have to wind around just to get to the locker room, and speaking of locker room - this is the main reason for the low rating. The men's locker room and bathroom and shower area are disgusting. The toilets are often broken, and as of today, two out of the three urinals have been broken for who knows how long now. The showers have been broken for a while and today they were all completely shut down and out of commission. The sauna is frequently broken, there are scuffs and gashes in the walls, the ceiling is crumbling in several places in the men's locker room, and the overall cleanliness is subpar, it's not good. For how frequently things are broken, dirty, and out of operation, I feel like they should be providing credits or discounts to the members of this gym. Speaking of credits, that is another area of dissatisfaction. There seems to be no consistency with the credits. For example, one day I went to the customer service desk to check on my credit status and they said I had a credit of $30-something dollars on my account to use, when I followed up a few days later to double check they said it was $10 or somewhere along those lines, and I hadn't even used any credits between that time frame. It seems to me that there is not much organization to this gym. I do have the Fitness membership that allows me to attend any of the gyms, however this is the closest one to me and the reason why I joined. If things don't improve, I will be joining a different gym when the annual membership comes up next January. I even referred someone and they signed up earlier this year and now I am starting to regret doing that. I have been to the St. George location and Riverton location and they both seem better, cleaner, etc. I don't understand why this location is the way that it is. It doesn't need to be perfect, but it would be nice if they would take a little pride in keeping things in working order and clean. In my opinion, the value is not there.

I have been a member at VASA since it was Golds gym. I love going to the group fitness classes like High Fitness and Upbeat Barre. Although I usually attend classes at other locations, the West Jordan location hands down has the best KidCare 👌 The staff has made my daughter feel comfortable and I know she is in good hands while I do my workout. She loves going to KidCare at West Jordan. Thanks for a great KidCare!

I joined the Gym this past Sunday. The young man that I dealt with was knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. He gave me a comprehensive tour and explained how a couple of the machines worked that were unfamiliar to me. The basic membership is all I need and he didn't press to upsell me. After two visits to the gym, I'm hooked. Good people and good equipment!

I have been attending this gym for years, I have two young daughters who attend the Kids Care. I have stayed loyal to Vasa due to the level of care my girls have received over the years primarily due to the leadership of Linda Sherrow. Recently a new employee complained of another parents two boys who are non verbal autistic. Do to this new employees complaint this mother has been denied future childcare for her boys and Linda was fired. Now most of the kids care employees have quit and they can not maintain reliable open hours. The GM Logan had the audacity to tell a parent he would not feel comfortable with his new born around these non-verbal autistic boys. I have news for you son both my daughters have been attending kids care with those boys since they were newborns! They are not a danger to any other child. Logan is an inexperienced, arrogant, and unprofessional kid whos decisions will not only have a financial impact on this location but a negative impact on the West Jordan community as a whole. Cut out the problem (Logan) and bring back Linda so we can all go back to the West Jordan community we have been enjoying for years!

In the last 3 months managers and employees that have been there for 10+ years have quit or been fired. New leadership, district managers and directors in Utah have come in and swept out good employees that cared for their members. This new leadership is very disappointing and immoral.

As someone who has been going to vasa for 7+ years it was my goal that once my baby was born (3 years ago) I would find my daughter the best daycare so that I could go back to the gym. I tried many daycares and wasn't satisfied until the day i drove 20+ minutes to the WJ location. The first day as I'm walking in and parents were walking out with their children I asked one of them if they liked that daycare and their response was "absolutely we've been coming for years, Linda is great you're going to love it here" so that was good to hear and ever since that day my now toddler has been going to Linda. It breaks my daughters heart that she no longer gets to see Linda daily, there was days where she would wake up and the first thing she'd ask me for is "Linda" this situation is truly devastating to all of us parents who's children built a relationship with Linda I honestly never imagined something like this would happen I pictured my daughter growing up in that daycare and now knowing that Linda isn't going to be in her life anymore is honestly depressing it's taking a toll on my mental health I can no longer rely on a babysitter so that I could get alone time to work on myself and be a better mom overall. I really hope Vasa can bring her back and make things right it isn't fair whats happening Linda didn't deserve to be let go after working there for 10 years! It's hard to find someone who genuinely cares for the kids the way she did.
When Linda was out of work due to her surgery my kids missed her soooo much especially my toddler she was concerned for Linda and insisted we go visit her at the hospital so we did that's how close we were to her that my kids begged to buy her flowers and go visit her. We love her and miss her so much Linda and her team are the best we miss Jen so much as well they both need to come back and be treated as good as they always treat our kids 🙏🏼

My daughters have been attending the WJ KidCare for over 6 years. In the beginning, I was so worried about someone else watching them, but Linda is honestly the most wonderful childcare worker I've ever heard of! The activities and crafts she had for the kids were better than anything they were doing at preschool. My children and I are absolutely devastated by the decision of management to let go of Linda S., who was a cornerstone at the kidcare facility. My seven-year-old twin daughters and three-year-old daughter have been attending this location for six years, and they adore Linda. Since we moved to Saratoga Springs two years ago, we have tried other kidcare locations in American Fork, Saratoga Springs, and Riverton, but none compared to the safe and loving environment Linda and her colleagues (who have also resigned) created.
Despite the distance, we always found it worthwhile to drive to West Jordan just for Linda. My kids would light up with excitement whenever we mentioned going to the kidcare to see her.
Linda was not just an employee; she was the heart and soul of the kidcare. Her genuine love and care for my children were unparalleled, and they already miss her terribly.
Unfortunately, after this disappointing decision by management, I see no reason to continue bringing my children back.

I come to the West Jordan Vasa specifically for the studio red classes coached by Adam and Jami. Adam creates a safe space where you feel encouraged to be your best self every time. His support and kindness is genuine, and one you rarely find. His dedication for this community and each person in the class is something that keeps bringing people back week after week. Multiple days a week. Adam will always be your biggest hype man, and Jami your biggest cheerleader.

YOUR LOSS VASA. You just lost the most caring thoughtful person I've ever met watch how the daycare crumbles without Linda! Going to cancel mine and my husbands memberships and switch to EOS now and I hope EOS hires Linda because VASA couldn't appreciate her. The Kidcare is AMAZING! I have been to several gyms and my kids were completely unhappy with how they were treated. The team here (I’ve known Linda and Jen the longest) have made all the difference. Where I exercise does not matter. It’s all about the comfort and safety of my children. They are the reason I drive past other vasa locations and come to this gym..
