The best time ever! We did dog Pilates for my bachelorette in cape cod and it was seriously the best day. All the dogs were puppies, their handlers were amazing, kind and responsible. And the puppies, adorable!!! Highly recommend!

I am giving this fraudulent company a ZERO star review because the owner SUED ME. DO NOT GO HERE. I signed up for weight lifting lessons and when I showed up at the given address… it was a Planet Fitness. Planet Fitness wouldn’t even let us in to use the equipment. When I canceled my payment on my credit card because I didn’t receive training the owner took me to court… and sued me for 3x the amount I originally owed. Jokes on the owner because I WON the court case. I still haven’t forgotten Japheth, and I know you pay google to remove my reviews. Just know that I will be back again and again, solely because you sent me to debt collections before we went to court. I WAS NINETEEN YEARS OLD AND YOU RUINED MY CREDIT SCORE. You’re a fraud and a terrible terrible man. I will NEVER let you live this down. No matter how many times you try to delete these reviews, I will be back and write another one.

I’ve been 3 times and each was great. It’s a good combination of a relaxation for your body (yoga part) and for your soul (goats!!). It depends on what is your priority. I usually start with my full attention to yoga instructor to move somewhere in the middle of the session to simply playing with goats! They just wonder around, you have to love them!
Take a friend and go to the Farm for the Goat Yoga session. Always a good time!!

Good experience. The goats were a little rambunctious and kept escaping the pen while we were doing yoga. Thought the goats may jump on you. They allowed us to pet and pick up the goats after the yoga session was over. Definitely a unique and fun activity to try.

The virtual fitness sessions I attended were top notch. They were varied and challenging, without being ridiculously hard. I had two different trainers and they were both friendly, motivating, good listeners, offered variety from session to session and open to my limits without coddling me. The customer service was also excellent and there were always timeslots that fit my schedule.

Goat Yoga, what a vibe! Lovely farm setting, goats were friendly and not afraid to get close, and the instructors did a great job of balancing yoga with time to pet the goats and made sure that everyone got a good amount of goat time. I brought my 9 year old son and he is already asking when we can go again. Highly recommend for adults and children, it was a really unique and joyful experience!

Like other 1 star reviewers, I loved the kickboxing classes and instructor. It was extremely fun, not awkward, and I looked forward to coming back every week, but I will NOT being going back unless there is a new owner.

The owner will try to trap you into monthly subscriptions for the rest of your life for one excuse or the other. If you try to break out of your subscription before the end, the owner will make you pay out the rest of whatever contract he made up for you (even during the COVID pandemic). If you don't pay back the rest of what he says you owe, even if you owe UNDER $40, he will send debt collectors after you that will constantly harass you or threaten to sue you. If you try to reason with him, he will go on about how important he is, how good his resume is, how he's been on TV 'multiple' times, and that he once worked for a Fortune 500 company (I can't even make this up).

And let me make this clear, I'm all about supporting local businesses. They are very important to our economy and if there's one thing Vermont is about it's small businesses. But this is not one you should support. If the instructors create their own studio I will be the first one in line.

My daughter has been doing yoga virtually with Suzanne since the beginning of the COVID crisis. It has been such a wonderful outlet for her. Suzanne is engaging, positive, and does and incredible job leading the kids through the classes each day. I live in Austin, TX, but can't wait to visit Water and Rock next time I'm in Burlington!

The Good:
I love the kickboxing classes and instructors and the Burlington location. They are fantastic and funny and supportive. Classes are always energetic and varied in technique.

So why a poor review? Bad business. Terrible and rude owner.

I signed up to learn kickboxing in a studio, with a coach, on March 3 2020. The studio location closed 19 days later due to COVID-19. I was charged again for April, and reached out as to why, since we are physically banned from attending classes. The owner said that it was never specified whether classes were online or in person, and that classes were now virtual.

How do you learn kickboxing when you are in social isolation and have zero kickboxing equipment? Would you consider that an equal trade to a physical classes, with people to practice on, and coach standing there fixing your posture? No. That's not what I signed up and paid for. I understand the pandemic is difficult for everyone, but I expected a business owner to understand extenuating circumstances and be flexible, as the rest of the world is.

I tried to explain that to the owner but he kept going on about how they were doing everything "contractually obligated" and "no one else has pressed this issue" (which I highly doubt).

Asked to pause my account - "No." Asked to cancel my membership - "No." Owner has zero sense of humanity or customer service, only a desperate greed for your money.

Be a human during this pandemic and refund my $40. I can use it for my groceries this month, or gas, or heat.

The single star is for my instructor who was actually really good (she has since left) but the business methods of her employer are obnoxious. The "free evaluation" he offers is nothing but a sales pitch to get you to sign a contract and if you do so he will hound you if you try to end it early. When I could no longer make classes I gave a month's notice and paid for 6 weeks of classes that I couldn't take in order to get out of my contract and he is still after the final month's payment and has sent the bill to a credit collections agency! I have never in my entire life been spoken to or rather, yelled at and interrupted in the manner that Japheth did and I would advise anyone considering this company to run don't walk away!

My teen and I took a goat yoga class together and left in a seriously good mood! She did a little less yoga than me but that’s the okay! You’re welcome to sit on your mat and cuddle/pet/feed a goat if you want. Fun + therapeutic + judgement free + ADORABLE + one size fits all. How amazing is that? I’m looking forward to trying the other animal yoga classes with my other animal loving girls.

In June of 2019 Water and Rock Studio invited me and my goats (Contrary, Aura and Lodge) to participate in offering goat yoga sessions. My three goats are mature, relaxed and certainly do not jump. Japheth and Suzanne, owners of Water and Rock Studio, were not deterred. The cozy clean barn, beautiful tree sheltered pastures, expansive yard and wandering goats welcomed each person and assured them of a unique experience. The folks at Water and Rock Studio are dedicated to the services they provide, also caring for the farmer, animals and earth. We enjoyed the company of the folks attending the sessions, each person contributed to the socialization of the goats and for those of you who remember Contrary (aka Tiny Tim) she is gaining weight and thriving. Thanks a bunch, to Water and Rock and to everyone who helped make this summer so special. Best wishes from Ellie and the Goats of Contrary’s Whey Farm & Creamery.

Went to a free class just to see for myself whether the review posted by Alexis Pell was accurate. She's either a liar or has a mission to dis the studio. It was spotless and Daria, my instructor was brilliant. Not only is she a professional Russian dancer, a terrific yoga teacher, but also a medical doctor. I think Google needs a policy regarding fakenews applied to fake reviews which should be deleted. I look forward to returning to Water and Rock Studio on a regular basis. Thanks for a great introduction!

It is with mixed feelings that I write this review. Today was the final day of my 30d trial period, and I am so thankful that I waited to write this.

First the good - I attended a handful of classes and came to love those on Thursday evenings with Grace. She is an excellent and gentle instructor with a very soothing, peaceful style. I was actually planning to enroll in the ten-pack after today’s class purely to continue with her.

But now the bad - as I mentioned, today was the expiry date of my trial period ("expires on 3/7/2019" is the phrasing). If you have ever had a drivers license, paid for insurance coverage, or used a coupon you would understand that the this date is the last acceptable date of use. In fact, unless otherwise clearly stated, the legal deadline is midnight on that date. I mentioned it upon arriving in class, however after class completion the owner Japheth stopped me and my husband to tell us we owed $20 each for the drop-in unless we were to enroll in more classes (from which today’s attendance would be deducted). We discussed this for a while, he claimed that today’s date was explicitly noted in writing (to which I agree), meaning that my month-long membership actually expired yesterday (if it said "EXPIRED on.." I would agree). He was condescending when saying that we are the only two to have ever had this confusion, and he repeatedly interrupted me and spoke over me. In the end I called him out on the interruptions and recommended that this be clarified on the initial enrollment (to which he again interrupted and spoke over me). In the end I had to just walk away because he clearly had no interest in communicating or preventing recurrence of this issue (overall shockingly poor customer service). I happily paid for the one-off $20 course because I did enjoy it and integrity is everything to me. However, I absolutely will never be returning to this studio purely based on the fact that the owner has no integrity and doesn’t seem to be a very good, genuine, or even reasonable person. Tonight, after finally reading reviews about his Philadelphia location of the same name, it appears that questionable business practices are nothing new. I have heard wonderful things about the yoga studio across the street and will let my money speak for me as I take it there instead.

ADDENDUM AFTER INITIAL REPLY FROM BUSINESS OWNER: Again, the key issue here is that the phrasing states "expires on 3/7/2019" rather than "expired on 3/7/2019". These words are very different, both linguistically and legally. The way you have it phrased, legally the memberships are valid until midnight of the "expires by" date (I will attempt to add an image of this for anyone reading this review). Again, for my particular case it is irrelevant as there are plenty of yoga studios in town and I am happy to have paid a $20 fee for the benefit of not interacting with you beyond this review, but for the sake of your business and your future customers that may be blindsided with a surprise $20 fee, it is ESSENTIAL that you correct this. I understand that you do not wish to hear feedback, but I really truly am trying to be an advocate for your clients and ultimately for you/your business. I enjoyed my classes with Grace and would have loved to continue with her, but morally I cannot support a company or individual that operates against my ethics and the law, at the clients' expense. If you had simply discussed the problem and possible solutions with me rather than interrupting and shutting me down, we could have ended this interaction in a more positive way for all of us. It is great that you have not encountered anyone attempting to use the pass on the last eligible date or that deemed it worthwhile to make a fuss over $20, but I will be an advocate for future customers and urge you to be legal and upfront.

As for your comments relating to my husband buying a 10-class pass, he is actually an independent person and if he wants to continue it's fine with me -- morally I remain opposed to your approach and lack of respect for clients.

Amazing Instructor, but the studio is filthy. And I’m not talking about in between cleanings. There was hair and dust EVERYWHERE. Nobody moves anything to clean the mats so the dust underneath the shelves is an inch high. Even the other people in the class thought it was disgusting. He tried to sell me a monthly package via text, and I very nice said "The instructor was great ,but the studio was filthy, so I don't think I will be going back" He immediately began accusing me of false accusations. Thats when I realized he had issues beyond me.

The gentleman running this place tried to get me to buy into a ton of extra products. This is why he has such a low intro rate. You really do get what you pay for.I cant speak for his other medical classes, but I can speak for the studio. Awful business and even worse owner. Save your time and go elsewhere.

I joined Water and Rock Studio just speaking with Japheth for our first phone consultation. He knows his stuff and has a friendly way of talking about Water and Rock.
