Collin, Matt, and Dave are friendly, encouraging, and incredibly knowledgeable and that energy shows up even at 5 AM!

I love the structure of the workouts, full-body sessions that always include stretching and mobility work. That combination has made a huge difference for me. I’m lifting heavy without all the soreness thanks to the balanced approach and getting in a little foam rolling before every workout.

If you’re looking for a place with great coaching, smart programming, and an awesome community, 804 Strength is it.

I can't say enough amazing things about Collin and Matt and 804 Strength. Collin and Matt are expert trainers and run an incredible program. I was looking for trainers who were knowledgeable and could support a few orthopedic issues that I've developed over the years and I need external accountability to keep me motivated. I love the 4:1 ratio, the relationships I've developed with some of my gym mates, and they've been able to tailor my workout to my individual needs and helped me recover from a few injuries. I've been working out at 804 for about a year now, 2-3 times a week. I feel stronger and am motivated to keep working out- you won't regret coming to the gym!

I’ve been with this gym since 2019, I came to this gym right out of college out of shape and with a freshman 15 body looking for a gym where I could lose weight but also tone and gain muscle without having to think about what workouts Im going to do in the gym. This place has been a total life saver with the help of Collin and Matt I found myself not only locking into a great weight (160 pounds,) but also I was able to generate great mobility as that is something they instill in all of their sessions, while still gaining and building muscle. I love this gym and this gym family and can’t see myself anywhere else!

Fantastic gym and people! Recently the private gym I had worked out at for seven years shut down. I was referred to 804 Strength and could not be happier. Collin and Matt are very professional and take the time to understand each person’s specific needs. The small group setting feels more like “one on one” as they move around to each person as everyone has a specific set and routine tailored to them. I am 50+ and have been "working out" for over 20 years. 16 of that on my own in a gym 3-4 days a week for 1-2 hours each trip (Military) and despite my efforts I was losing the battle with age and shape. On the advice of a friend I looked to find a trainer. And after several starts and stops stumbled upon 804 Strength. Finding educated (its literally what they went to school for) trainers who are willing to tailor to YOUR needs and YOUR goals, all while pushing just enough to take you to heights you didn't think were possible... its priceless. And I am getting it done in 48 minutes a trip. Always sensitive to your mood and how your body is doing, they adjust to fit each day. Matt and Collin are great, but the clientele are even better. All walks, all types, all levels. Most have been here for years and its become a family. I can not recommend them enough.

I cannot say enough good things about this gym. I started going with minimal strength training experience. I have access to a very well-outfitted, free, gym at work. I run, but didn’t do much besides running to stay in shape, so at least once a year I had some kind of injury. My gym workouts were usually guided by videos or apps and left me feeling like I had done too much or too little.
Thanks to 804 Strength I’ve reached fitness goals I never before thought possible for myself. I have more muscle definition than most other middle aged women, and as a bonus, I enjoy being able to tell co-workers I can deadlift them if they annoy me. I still run, but I don’t get injured like I used to because the programs at 804 Strength have helped me build a solid foundation.
Collin & Matt are skilled and knowledgeable and adapt the program to the individual needs of each person. The atmosphere is collegial and encouraging as individuals of all fitness levels and backgrounds are welcome. Unlike the Barre and Pilates studios I tried previously, I’m never bored with the workouts here, which build upon each other week by week.
Sure, it’s more expensive than a big-box franchise gym, but well-worth the money as you won’t find this level of expertise or customization anywhere else.

I have been working out with the coaches from 804 Strength for almost 5 years and have had nothing but great experiences! The coaches genuinely care about your fitness goals and wellbeing. The atmosphere is always positive and encouraging, unlike other gyms I have tried in the past. Everyone who trains there supports one another and celebrates those gains together! The small class sizes allow for very personalized attention to form and modifications if needed. I was never comfortable working out in a gym setting until joining 804 Strength (previously River North Strength) and now I look forward to my workouts! Can’t recommend this gym enough!

The trainers provide the most personable experience even within a group class setting, and the members are just as encouraging. I am so thankful for them and their fitness model, there is truly no other place like it. They are focused on the quality of the workouts while incorporating correct form and mobility, which has helped me significantly to prevent lower back pain. I have been to the early morning, evening, and Saturday classes and I always leave feeling accomplished. The small-group setting is like no other, as you build relationships with the members and support/motivate one another throughout your workout.
