How much I use to love to go to crozet pool. As a kid we spent our days there all summer. I went there today and they are charging $17 for adults and $11 for kids and if you have 2 kids and 2 adults itβs cheaper and itβs $35 a day pass for the day. Teagan and I sat in the low end which is where the mushroom is and couldnβt go further than that due to the elderly excerise area and then the day camp and the lanes being blocked for swimmers that pay a monthly rate I WOULD pay if I got a lane blocked for me every day and my kids for that rate of $77. We waited 3 hours to finally go into a part of the pool that was 4 feet deep. Do better ACAC, this isnβt a huge facility and you have a overgrown community that you are taken advantage of with a pool over 30 years old and toilets that canβt flush and your charging almost $40 for a adult and a child. This is over gauging at its worst!!
The group of campers were slinging the ball around like it was like they were at baseball camp almost hit my daughter in the face. I dodged it and then a life guard and their camp facility people got involved but were in this tiny space under the mushrooom and 3 feet while they had three lanes open for them. Iβm paying almost $40 to stick us in a corner while too have all these other activities around that you never told us about when we paid for the pool. If I knew we would have paid for what they offered we would have left. The only reason why we stayed was bc we paid.

Which they had 4;30 yoga or Barre classes. 5:30 classes make dinner too late by the time I get home and cook.
Also, left a message seeking information about after school program. No response..

I canβt say how much I love this gym. It is the most expensive gym membership I have ever had BUT, it is well worth the price. The ACAC facilityβs are the best!

This is a fine, functioning gym. The staff are precious and so kind - they are beyond lovely and helpful.
Most necessary equipment is present, it's quaint. Yet, it just seems like a completely different, sub-par level from the Albemarle Square ACAC. There are far fewer basic accommodations available - oftentimes, the sanitary wipes are empty, there are rarely dry sweat towels accessible (as opposed to the dreamy scented chilled towels at Albemarle).
It's overrun with kids making TikTok's and slamming gym equipment and occupying spaces far longer than they actually use them. It's beyond frustrating. The amount of weightlifting benches are few and far between, and again, the kids mostly take them over for the sake of roughhousing and videoing themselves.
THEY don't pay for this membership - we adults DO. I appreciate the 24/7 access, but it seems often abandoned both cleanliness-wise and accessibility-wise.

I have just begun using this facility again after a hiatus of several years. It is very popular because of its location and often quite crowded. The staff are always polite and friendly. But I get the feeling that the management isnβt quite on top of things. One day the showers were not working; another day they had completely run out of disinfectant wipes in the midst of winter Covid resurgence. The water in the shower is lukewarm and if you need a full size towel, you must bring your own. I guess it began as a satellite of the extremely large and well supplied downtown facility. Now that Crozet has grown so large and this gym has a large clientele, I think more attention to details is in order. βBlair Jones

The ladies at the front desk are awesome! They are always so pleasant and welcoming when I arrive, and they call me by name. They identify any gaps in information and assure those are corrected. They troubleshoot and fix problems associated with US Government entities paying for services and before I even become aware that something is amiss. These ladies are the deluxe icing on the cake. And the main attraction for me is the staff of the very most competent and capable professional physical therapists I have ever had the pleasure to receive treatment from. In particular, the gentleman named JosΓ© is far above and beyond simply meeting my expectations. When I'm there in his care, I feel as though I am his only patient. He focuses all of his attention on me. He makes me comfortable and listens to me, asking questions that get right to the bottom of why I'm having pain. He does the "manual work" that reduces and typically eliminates the pain I'm having so I can have both a pleasant and successful session with him that is not painful to complete. He motivates me so very well to strive for the best performance to obtain the needed progress for my problems. He has made my time and experience in physical therapy something that I never would have expected. Though it is work and requires significant effort, it is also interesting and enjoyable. I find that I truly look forward to each of our sessions. And I walk away at the end feeling good, physically and mentally. I cannot imagine that I could find a better place or therapist to meet and exceed my needs and personal desires and expectations. Physical Therapy @ ACAC in Crozet, Virginia.

It's a GREAT gym, I live that it's in a less populous area than downtown Charlottesville so there's never a line waiting for the machines.

Pros: Conveniently located. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. 24 hour accessibility.
Cons: Small facility which is currently significantly oversubscribed, a condition which is becoming more severe daily with the rapid development in the Crozet area. The facility is not crowded M-F from approximately 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and after approximately 7:00 PM, and on weekends after approximately 1:00 PM. Exercise classes are provided M-F essentially constantly in the mornings and again beginning approximately 4:00 PM. During these periods, there is only an extremely limited amount of floor space for non-class participants to stretch (i.e., 2 people's worth). Also, immediately prior to and after each class, the participants understandably desire to use the cardio and other equipment. Therefore, during the time periods when classes are occurring, the quantity of cardio equipment (e.g., treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes & stair climbers) is insufficient. The free weight area is very small, requiring stepping over and around equipment and members to complete a workout.

Small but efficient gym. 24 hours, group classes and morning child care. Only complaint is that there's no child care after 11:30 so if we don't make it early we have to go to another location.
