Alloy is an amazing gym! The small class sizes (6 people max) and energy and skill of the trainers make me feel so cared for and supported when trying new and challenging exercises.
Love that they have an InBody scale so you can actually see how your body composition is changing.
The monthly cost is on the higher end for boutique gyms, but this makes sense since they are such small class sizes. Even if it's not in your budget for the long term, consider joining for a few months to get yourself back on track with working out and strength training. It's an amazing investment in yourself. 15/10 - would recommend :D

Alloy Fitness is one of three things I've joined in my life, high school band and the Army being the other two. And I've remained at Alloy since last fall and even upped my workouts to 3x weekly.
It can be hard to notice the "so what" of what Alloy has given me until this last weekend when I was able to lift/move/spread out 120 bags of mulch without pain or really thinking twice about it. If you were to replace bags of mulch with kettlebells, that's a favorite at Alloy so the mulch was no sweat.
And as others have said, the two things that are the secret sauce here are the trainers (who motivate by being a trusted friend not a shouty drill instructor) and the 5 other people in the class with you.
The best way I can describe it is Cross Fit for Gen X... And it's real and amazing.

I realized that I needed to get regular exercise and I knew I wasn’t going to motivate myself, so I joined Alloy last summer and have not regretted it. It is fun, challenging and the trainers are all excellent. The other clients whom I have met when training with (6 max per session) have all been very nice and you get to know them as you work out there week after week. It’s been 9 months of once a week visits and I have noticed the results. If you need help getting in shape and making it a habit, Alloy is the place!

Joining Alloy has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. The staff is happy to help and does a great job of motivating the members. The classes are 60 mins a piece and you walk away feeling challenged.

Love this gym. The trainers are so helpful, personal, and a joy to learn from. The community is great--encouraging & positive. I always look forward to each session--which says a lot for someone who does not enjoy strength training! They have seen me thru multiple injuries (from outside sports/activities) and gotten me back in good condition much more quickly than I could have on my own.

Chase and JR are top notch trainers. For the better part of 10 months now, their knowledge, coaching, and attitude continue to empower my ability to set new and attainable fitness goals. This is the best health trajectory and fitness arc I have had in over 20 years, and I look forward to continued success, thanks to Alloy.

This is a wonderful, friendly place to work on strength training. The trainers are knowledgable and helpful, and a great support in getting stronger, and fitter. It really is more like having a personal trainer (and a handful of other people in the trenches with you). The classes are effective, with a very nice vibe, and a lot of camaraderie among participants. Classes are never more than 6 and the set up is organized and efficient. Trainers are good about challenging you but they are also excellent at adjusting things if you have an underlying injury. I'd been conscious for a long time that I needed to work on strength but just couldn't muster enthusiasm for walking into a standard gym's weight room, where I'd have to contend with pumped up gym bros grunting and wondering if my form was correct (or if I might be doing more damage to shoulder, hip, etc.). This place is extremely comfortable for people of any age and gender. After just a few weeks, I already felt stronger (and healthier).

I've been training here for the past 7 or so months and can’t say enough good things about Alloy! The trainers are awesome. Super welcoming, encouraging, and genuinely care about your progress and goals. The workouts are always well thought out and challenging without being overwhelming. In probably every class I’ve ever done, they’ve tailored the workouts in some way for the range of people who attend (whether increasing/decreasing weight, or alternating workouts and range of motion for injury/capability). Best of all, with consistently going twice a week I’ve actually seen real results, which was an important goal for me. If you’re looking for a supportive, tailored environment to get stronger and healthier, this is the place.

I’ve been with Alloy since the beginning and have loved every moment. The trainers are excellent! They explain each exercise thoroughly, and the 6-1 ratio gives them the ability to make sure each person is doing things safely. The trainers are knowledgeable and provide modifications for every fitness level and capability. They create an environment of encouragement and people get to know each other. The workouts are varied and never boring. I’m so happy I joined! Love, love, love.

Alloy is terrific — a great place to maintain and improve your functional fitness! They have a wonderful group of coaches who are both knowledgable and inspiring. And the small group size of the sessions — never more than 6 people — makes it personal and social at the sane time, which I love. They also offer options and modifications of the exercises when you need it — like if you’re coming back from an injury or just having a low-energy day — so you never really have a reason (or an excuse! lol) to miss a class! I’ve been coming here since they opened, and it’s definitely improved my strength and my fitness!

All of the trainers at Alloy are TERRIFIC and provide excellent workouts along with a lot of positive energy and fun. JR, Chase, Ephalus, and Quincy are all talented, knowledgeable, attentive, fun, and caring. They push us hard so that we are able to see and feel the gains we are making. They listen to us and to what our needs are, and they are always willing and able to offer modifications to meet each individual's needs. Before each set of exercises, they always model appropriate form for each individual group of exercises, and if we have questions before or during our exercise, they always listen and respond to us. While we are exercising, they check in on us and correct our form and offer tips to maximize our results. They change up the playlist so we work out to great music that motivates us, and sometimes makes us want to dance in between our sets.
On top of all of that, I can tell that all of the trainers truly care about the people they work with. They talk to us and get to know us and laugh with us and share their life stories with us and listen to our life stories. Together, they are building a community of people who enjoy working out together. My workouts are the highlight of my week, and I always look forward to going to Alloy. When I miss a session, I REALLY miss it, and I'm always sure to make it up ASAP. There isn't a single thing I don't enjoy about Alloy and all of the trainers there. I plan to continue working out there indefinitely. This is now an essential part of my life and my journey towards excellent health as I age.

I love my workouts at Alloy! I enjoy the different routines and I always feel better at the end of the workouts than I did at the beginning, I’ve enjoyed the trainers and I appreciate that they all give alternate moves for exercises if/when needed. I recently picked up a 3rd class a week which has been with Quincy and he is great! I do enjoy his music selections and it just starts my day off right.

I have never (truly never) enjoyed working out or going to the gym. Chase and JR are absolutely amazing and supportive and actually make work out sessions fun. They are really knowledgeable and accommodating and are able to tailor each session to support any injuries or restrictions I have. I truly look forward to coming every week—it’s so good for both my physical and mental health. After 6 months with them, I’m seeing real, tangible results that other people have noticed as well. I’m so proud of myself and so thankful to them!

I’ve really enjoyed working out at Alloy Fitness Falls Church. I was working out at home for over a decade and hated the idea of going to a gym, but the small classes focused on functional weight training and trainers that give you personal attention as well as the camaraderie you develop with the others in your class keep me motivated. And the results are great. Special shout-out to Coach Chrissy who is always positive and encouraging!

I absolutely LOVE Alloy!! I've always been very intimidated by the idea of personal training, but after a major joint replacement surgery last fall, I knew I had to start prioritizing strengthening my body. Alloy has completely changed my attitude about exercising for the better. I've been going for about six months now and the physical changes in my arms, legs, and core look and feel very noticeable already!
All of the trainers I have had the pleasure of working with - Chase, J.R., Efelis, Chrissy, and Hugh - are incredible!! They're encouraging, communicative, super fun, and always attentive. They are excellent at helping you with modifications when needed and pushing you to do your best. I always leave sessions full of endorphins and looking forward to the next one.
I feel so much stronger and in control of my body these days, and I have Alloy to thank for that!!

I’m 70 years old, retired firefighter and cancer survivor. My fitness level had decreased over the last five years after being very active. I needed a jump start. Came across an ad for Alloy and decided to give it a try.
With so many fitness facilities to choose from, I was skeptical at first. Five months later, I can say this is what I exactly needed. Small group sessions, very knowledgeable trainers that carefully guide you through each exercise safely, a noncompetitive environment that understands we all come from deferent fitness levels.
My fitness level has improved in so many ways along with my mindfulness.
Give Alloy a try, it might be what you’re looking for to stay healthy and motivated.
Thank you Alloy!

This has been the best personal training experience! At other gyms, trainers gave directions on where they thought I should be versus the strength/stamina level I was actually at. Alloy trainers encourage me to push myself a bit out of my comfort zone while also recognizing the importance of modifications. The emphasis on functional movement also ensures I’m getting stronger in areas I need in my day to day activities. No two training days are the same and I look forward to showing up and working hard! Huge thank yous to the trainers - Chase, JR, Efelis, Chrissy, and Devin- for making fitness fun!

Coach CS was terrific this morning. As one of the old guys in the gym, I work a different program from my compatriots. CS checked on me constantly to be sure I was both doing well and pushing myself. We worked on upper body and he had numerous options for my workout.

I just finished my 50th session at Alloy. The training has been exceptional with a focus on individual needs/goals. The sense of community with both trainers and members is incredibly motivating, which is needed to get up for 6 am sessions 😊. Since joining, strength training is now a habit. I've gained 4 pounds of muscle in 4 months and am sleeping much better. Highly recommend! Thank you to Chrissy, Chase, JR and Efelis for being part of my wellness journey.

I’ve always exercised, but only because I had to. Since I joined Alloy, I actually look forward to it! It is the highlight of my day. Chase and J.R. and the rest of the trainers are amazing. They are all so knowledgeable and willing to help always if you need an exercise modified (which I often do!). The environment is just so positive and fun and everybody there is friendly and supportive. I felt comfortable immediately and will be a member for as long as they’ll have me!

I couldn’t be happier with this team of trainers especially! Every trainer there, any training session time I’ve been there the attention to form; accountability; the cleanliness of the facility and equipment are all top notch . I gained 3.1 pounds of muscle in 4 weeks! Was able to know that because of their use of technology and data to keep you accountable! They have exceeded my expectations! I’m so happy with Alloy!

I've been a member of Alloy Personal Training Falls Church for 5 weeks and I've noticed profound changes in my fitness level. The facility is really nice with brand new equipment. Conveniently located in West Falls Church (near Safeway at US29 & West) with ample parking. The small group personal training is just what I was searching for. Each class is no more than 6 people per trainer. Alloy offers 1-hour time slots throughout the day, which you can change as needed, and you're not locked into a monthly membership. Chase and his team of trainers are fantastic! They are so knowledgable, supportive, encouraging and they clearly love what they do. The trainers demonstrate each exercise with modifications, and they pay close attention to everyone's form, offering corrections as needed throughout the session. I signed up for two classes per week and I've enjoyed every workout. I love the variety, intro to new strength training exercises, and learning how to feel/correct my form. The workouts are challenging and I always feel a great sense of accomplishment. I'm a 55-year-old female at a moderate fitness level with structural imbalances that can cause chronic pain. These workouts have helped me gain strength, balance, better posture, decreased pain, increased energy and improved sleep. I love it so much that I've requested homework to help me reach a greater level of fitness. I've enjoyed working out with my group. It's always a lot of fun and the sessions fly by. This is a vital investment in my well-being. I'm feeling youthful and inspired 💪🏽✨

My husband I started at AlloyFitnessFallsChurch six weeks ago. We are in our sixties, have never worked out like this but want to be strong, active and mobile for ourselves and our grandchildren. We call it our “stay out of the nursing home program”. We were very intimidated to join a gym but are loving our experience here. Chase and JR are fantastic trainers and very knowledgeable. They have been so helpful to make sure our form is correct and moderating the workout as needed to our skill level. Best of all they are both extremely personable and encouraging. In the small classes there is an abundance of personal attention. We are feeling good, losing fat and growing muscles and could not recommend them more highly! I would give them 10 stars ! ⭐️
