One of the greatest experiences.

Lots of space in the building but not a whole lot of gym equipment. Also need to implement โactive dutyโ only hours. Lots of non active duty present during early unit PT training hours. Active duty should have priority

Still needs more space and updates to weightlifting equipment. No deadlift platforms and only 3 squat racks. Suggest moving the cardio area to a different level and filling the upstairs area with additional squat racks and more variations of equipment. A glute machine is strongly needed.

It's muggy upstairs. Not terrible, but when I'm getting gainz, it gets hot ๐ฅต

Best gym in Quantico, one of the better military gyms I've been to, great crowd too, everyone is friendly and helpful.

Full range of machines and free weights. Definitely fills up during peak hours. Would benefit from a more multipurpose stretching/warmup space. I was here several years ago and the 24hr access is definitely an improvement. As with most gyms needs more squat rack spaces.

It is the worst base gym I've been to. Pathetic for Marine Corps HQ. Parking lot has been under construction for 8ish months.

The only gym in MCB Quantico and most of their workout machines are either squeaky, wobbly not able to be adjusted. Like the abductor machine. Itโs a quite large building but the actual workout room itโs pretty small. They need more modern equipment. They have a lot of useless open space on the first floor.
Most of the times their ac is broken. Hours are very restricted.

One of the best military base gyms. But half the time you're walking around thinking "where did all the 45 lbs plates go?". Their after hours rules where you can't bench press really throws off my workout. I get it's a safety thing but no free weights after hours? I've never heard of such tomfoolery.

Gym is pretty nice! It has pretty much all the things you could want in a conventional gym. You must have access to this gym though.

This is the Marine Corps Base (MCB) Quantico Barber Physical Activity Center (BPAC), not the MCAF gym. If it had a pool, I would give it a 5. Outstanding facility currently under roof renovation that I am told will take approximately a year (3/2025).

Would give it zero if possible, has nothing to do with the staff, but Quantico as a whole. Being a military installation how can your basketball ball court be damaged for so long before closing down and still after more than a year not even been touched to try to being repaired. And cannot be blamed on funding cause they cannot say after all this time there is no money in the budget to have it repaired. Of all the military installations I have been in my 18 year career this has to be the worst installation when it comes to maintenance for its facilities

Probably one of the worst USMC gyms I've been in. It was very small and very packed. I don't know that I've ever been in a gym this busy. Felt like a can of sardines, and you can smell everyone around you. Circulation is not great.
The staff was nice, and the sauna was empty, so that part was great.

Had a great time working out. People are courteous and respectful. The sauna is a great way to release stress and the food court is awesome. Although, I wish was throughout the day and not at specific times.

It's the on base gym, open to all active duty, government employees and retirees. Everything is free for active duty, with various costs for everyone else. A monthly pass is $25 and gets retirees and GS access to the group classes as well. The HITT classes are advertised as active duty only, but... It's annoying they cancelled the HITT morning classes, the 0530 was perfect for my schedule. Now it only goes at 1130. Same for the yoga classes, they were in the evening but now only at lunch. The timing just isn't great. Overall a good guy, I've yet to meet with the trainers, but they have been fantastic previously.

A pretty decent gym with many amenities. A juice bar with grab and go breakfast items and post workout fuel. Also has racquetball courts, group fitness class area stretching rooms, sauna and personal trainers on staff (for fee). They have free wifi which works pretty good thought out the facility. The also offer plenty of fitness classes and activities. The outdoor track and sports field is adjacent. Parking is not so great with an unpaved lot out front that is not for the faint at heart. Be advised that the basketball court is closed and has been for a while. Not sure when it will reopen. Also the cardio and weight lifting area gets pretty hot. Not great air flow although they have air in the building. They have filtered water fountains but the water never comes out with any chill to it. Just room temp water. They do offer 24hr access to active duty military and first responders working on base. Overall I would give it a high rating but not a perfect rating.

Good equipment with nice staff. I was surprised how small and packed the gym was for how big of a base.
