Yoga studio Meditation centerAbout the Club
We created Beloved Yoga as a sanctuary to discover peace within through the timeless Yoga and Ayurveda-inspired tools of movement, breath, meditation and lifestyle habits. We honor the origins of classical Yoga philosophy and are committed to sharing with reverence, integrity, and accessibility for all. Our teachers are trauma-informed and offer choice and clarity in their use of language. We welcome you to find your way to the mat and to live your Yoga off the mat.
We offer a variety of class styles and embrace all paths of yoga: hatha, raja, bhakti, karma, and tantra. Our classes are designed with an emphasis on education and safety. We support a practice that meets the practitioner where they are. All are welcome.

I am very picky about my yoga. I cannot do hot yoga--in fact, I can't even be in the same room after a hot class. I want my (reasonable) space to myself and want to know in advance at least some of what to expect from the class. Beloved Yoga is my place! I have been going on and off for a year and am finally realizing how much I miss it when I don't go. They have a very good schedule, fantastic instructors (Daniela is a personal favorite) and flexible options for purchasing classes. No one is a stranger here. Give it a try!

Beautiful and welcoming studio with plenty of cubbies, 3 studio rooms, wall art, and community space to hang out. I took the Beginner's Yoga class with Larry on a Wednesday. There were 4 other patrons, which meant plenty of space and mats/blocks/blankets/straps for each person. Larry's class with relaxing and non-pushy with modifications - just what I needed for my day.

So grateful for this space. They offer a variety of classes. Out of the handful Iβve taken so far, I really enjoyed classes with Varnita and Lorena and hope to take more classes with them. (fingers crossed they are on the schedule in the future!). The breath-work and meditation aspects, small class sizes, combined with hip and spine focused flows, has made a huge difference in my mental and physical health. They offer free meditations on Monday and Tuesdays, too.
They also have a library with soooo many books! And cute clothes, bracelets, and snacks for purchase, too. The staff is warm and welcoming. I wish I lived closer!

Came along as a guest when on a visit from the UK. My friend Kathy had raved about how fabulous it was and goodness me, she isnβt wrong. The staff and other class participants couldnβt have made me feel more welcome, the actual class led by Stephanie was just what I needed after my long flight. Can not recommend this studio enough. The class selection is excellent, offering chair yoga, beginners yoga, prenatal, yin, nidra, vinyasa, hatha, gentle, and more. They also offer meditation, qi gong, & Bollywood dance classes. Membership is affordable, with options ranging from class passes that never expire to a monthly unlimited pass. There are discounts on passes for veterans/first responders/schoolteachers/healthcare workers. There is a free yoga class for the public every Tuesday at midday. The classrooms are large and airy, with a lot of live plants. There is a library where one can check out books on yoga and related topics. There is also a lovely lobby area and complimentary tea offered.
They recently opened a Listening Room, where musical artists come to play. There are many workshops and events held here also. There is a thriving and diverse community at Beloved.
The instructors are very skilled, and I generally leave class feeling that I learned something new in the asanas or the path. I also like that there is acknowledgement & knowledge of the traditions and ancient wisdom of yoga at this studio. The history or philosophy are mentioned occasionally by teachers-when relevant-during class. It is interesting to hear that traditionally triangle pose was held for 11 minutes at a time, or the ancient mythology behind eagle pose, etc. It comes across as respectful.
Excellent studio, highly recommend!

Where to start... I'm a traveling yogi and always looking for studios that offer a variety of classes that are accesssible, unique, and out of the ordinary. This studio offers such a lovely variety of classes. The staff is super warm and welcoming (thank you Maya), the boutique has teas, adaptogen drinks, healthy gluten-free snacks, and a library. Waiting between classes you can drink tea, read, or put together a puzzle. There's incredible art everywhere and it's visually stunning. The studio is large, ventilated, with copious amounts of props. The teachers really care. Lorena literally sang to us in Shavasana and I cried tears of joy in class. I can't wait to go back. 10/10. I found a home away from home her. Thank you Beloved!

The teachings offered through Beloved studio community have truly saved my life!
I started practicing consistent asana here 9mo ago when I ran out of things to say in therapy.
Come for yoga classes - full spectrum for beginners, elders, prenatal, and intermediate practitioners. I tried vinyasa, restorative, yin, and gentle flows. $88 unlimited monthly is a great deal to explore and discover what you enjoy best!
Every teacher offers unique asana flow and encourages personal effectiveness over specific physical form. Dynamic and seasonal movement. So intuitive.
Each class starts with a meditative intention grounded in the Yoga Sutras. Learn to embody on the mat, bring into life off the mat.
Stay for community tea table, free book library, healthy snacks, beautiful apothecary and gifts for sale, Listening Room music events, ayurvedic workshops, guest visitors, book club. Try private yoga and massage!
Thank All Universe for this sacred container of deep true radical Healing ππΌβ¨β€οΈβπ₯

I've long heard about how welcoming and wonderful Beloved is and finally got the chance to find out for myself. It did not disappoint. The class and special events offerings are amazing. I love that this studio explores all facets of yoga, from the asanas to the underlying philosophy, plus meditation, music, breath and other aspects as well. All is taught with the blessing of the graceful, wise and warm Maryam, with an attitude of welcome for all. For anyone looking to take the 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training, or just attend classes, I couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

Truly a sanctuary with many consistent, inspiring, diverse, and soulful offerings. As a yoga studio owner myself, I have found deep healing and tranquility with Beloved's offerings while visiting town to help care for a sick family member. During such a challenging time, I have found Beloved to be an oasis. I have had the pleasure of practicing yoga with many of the teachers, received an Ayurveda marma point session, and even a massage - all under one roof. One thing I find especially unique is their library of books free for borrowing! The selection is remarkable and I have taken advantage of skimming through many. The space is welcoming, the boutique is fabulously filled with local/conscious selections, along with coconut water, snacks, and so much more. Maryum's classes are stunningly filled with drops of wisdom and creativity, and Lorena's voice is of an angel! Highly recommend both instructors. Can't wait to explore more. Absolutely visit this gem.

Edit: Thanks for your response. I attended a 6pm vinyasa class on 10/30/23. The corrections I felt were missing involved making sure everyone in class understood what to do it in the first place, explaining in more detail when people look confused, and making sure people are doing it safely to prevent stress/injury.
The evening vinyasa class I took was uncomfortably crowded. Nobody had enough room to do 50% of the poses. The instructional style didn't involve transitions between poses or thoughtful sequences of different poses so it was more just one pose, pause and instructor chats, another pose, pause and instructor chats. It wasn't relaxing and it also wasn't a challenging workout.
The packed class size also meant that the instructor didn't offer any individual corrections, even verbally and even to people who were really struggling to land a pose without additional instruction. Corrections are not so much about how to do the pose "right" but more importantly about how to do it safely. I've been to a bunch of different yoga studios and the class I took here just didn't meet my expectations in any way.
The space looked nice and parking was easy. Yoga mats are free to borrow. But overall I was really disappointed and don't plan to come back.

Beloved Yoga Sanctuary is one of the most welcoming spaces I've ever walked into. Teachers and students show up to learn and grow together without judgement. I especially love the vinyasa and yin classes and all of the special offerings - like seasonal classes or classes with music - are incredible.
Beloved Yoga's school is also a gift. BY's yoga teacher training programs are thoughtfully constructed and include expert resources and teachers from around the world.

Beloved Yoga Sanctuary goes to great lengths to honor the age-old traditions of Yoga, while honoring and welcoming diverse perspectives and cultures. The owner, Maryam Ovissi, lives by example and does everything in her human power to live by the Yamas and Niyamas, the first two and most important precepts of the practice. If you are looking for more than just exercise, Beloved is your home!

This Studio has become a space where as an instructor I feel fully at home. I have visiting this sanctuary for 5 years where I found inclusivity, diversity, and opportunities to collaborate and share the vision of Yoga with the community. I had the great opportunity to take the 300hrs Yoga Teacher Training from Beloved Yoga School and Today I am part of its staff. I want to invite you to join us if you are around this area, and celebrate with our community diversity of racial and cultural identity.

Walking into the Beloved Yoga studio is to walk into serenity and peace. The studio has multiple types of yoga to choose from which accommodate beginners, advanced yoga practitioners, all ages, (children, adolescents and the elderly) and people with illnesses and disabilities. Iβve practiced a lot of yoga in many different styles. This is definitely among the best studios Iβve been at. The space is beautiful, there are classes every day of the week at a variety of times (hard to find this at other studios around here), each teacher has their own style for class. And itβs so affordable! $88/month for unlimited classes is the best value in the area. Because the space is so large, itβs never too crowded and Iβve always been able to register for the classes of my choice.
In most of the classes, the asana practice is not particularly challenging for an experienced practitioner, but the teachers allow plenty of time for and encourage exploring appropriate variations. They are also always willing to discuss and help with things after class.
Although usually brief and confined to the start and end of classes, I appreciate the different perspectives and insights on the non-asana yoga practices as well.
Great place and welcoming community.

I'm really disappointed, as I called to try to get back into yoga and find a class that worked for us. I basically laid out exactly what I was looking for and truly feel like I was begging her to help me but in the end she hurried off the phone without helping me to find a class that would fit what we needed. It also took over a week to get a returned call.

Faria has been a crucial part of my pregnancy, with biweekly prenatal yoga classes. I'm a total beginner; each class was adapted to my skill level, how I was feeling, and the stage in my pregnancy. Faria genuinely cared about me, my progress and my baby. She's patient and engaged, kind and supportive. It's the only time each week I truly set aside for myself and focus on my baby and mental health thru the pregnancy. I couldn't be more thankful! I highly recommend her for pregnancy, or any yoga class and guidance. Every new mamma deserves a Faria :) thank you!

Itβs been several years since I found a yoga studio I felt happy with, that offered a variety of classes that I was interested and invested in, so finding Belovedβs scope of different classes gave me hope. I attended a class with a friend a few weeks ago, and was immediately swep away with it. The atmosphere theyβve cultivated, the knowledge of all the teachers, the way that each class Iβve been to has had a mindful focus behind itβthat the practice itself has pertained to and highlighted and made one give thought to each focus. That last part in particular sets this apart from some other places Iβve tried classes at, and it gave me immediate pause, in a very positive way.
I donβt know anyone in the classes, I donβt know any of the teachersβI am completely new to this studio and all their practitioners, but everything all coupled together and rolled into one thing has felt so much like coming home to me. I fully intend to continue my practice here, as humbling as it may be at times (but never pretentious in how it humbles one, always in a mindful manner), and look immensely forward to every class I attend. I highly, highly recommend giving this studio and these teachers a chance.

There is a teacher for everybody. Seriously, this is THE best yoga studio because it treats every aspect of an individual. Are you interested in a good stretch, mind-blowing philosophy, quiet time, meditation, an extreme physical work-out, time with other mom's and dad's, a place to feel like home? This place has a class and a teacher that will fit your personality and needs. Don't be fooled by the word "beginners" yoga. It isn't that easy, but it is slower -more gentle on your knees, hamstrings and back! You can feel very "yoga" taking the chair class as much as taking the insane vinyasa lab. Try Yin yoga for a totally different experience. Find a class that fits your schedule and stick with it. Look for monthly discounts if you need a little relaxation on your wallet. There are always events, music, and event workshops. The 200 TT program is all encompassing. The 200 TT training and mentor program is very unique and takes a few months. Maybe just stop by to acquire books or jewlery. Grab a pamphlet and a kirtan brochure to assist you in your decision making or kick off your flip flops and stay awhile. Special needs? Special concerns? Special events? There is a guide/teacher for you, just inquire! I be lovin' Beloved Yoga Studio.
