Decided to start my journey of weight loss and gaining strength with BrickHouse a couple months ago and I’m so happy I did!! Blake has been such an amazing trainer and I’ve not only have become a lot stronger but he also teaches me the correct ways to do everything and adds a lot of knowledge to each session. Coming here feels like hanging out with a friend, I have always felt comfortable (I put off exercising because I have always been scared of judgement or messing up) and BrickHouse completely grew my confidence and ability to exercise! So many great things to say about Brickhouse. I immediately felt like I belonged there because everyone is so friendly and supportive. The workouts are tailored to each person’s abilities and overall comfort, and the trainers are so knowledgeable that they can jump in and modify anything to meet our individual needs. And they are also good at encouraging and pushing us when we need it. I’ve been able to accomplish and do things that I never thought I’d be able to do. Shoutout to Ryan, Janelle and Brandy (and Jess!) - everyone at Brickhouse has contributed so much to my health/fitness journey.

I've really enjoyed working out with Brickhouse Fitness. It has a lot of CrossFit elements without the CrossFit injuries. It's high energy and fun, but very tailored to individual goals and abilities. Everyone their is very friendly and supportive.

I cannot say enough great things about Brickhouse! I was nervous to start a new and different type of fitness journey for myself. Ryan and his team worked to help me build strength and confidence in the gym. I worked Brandy and Ryan, both of which are excellent! I remember telling Brandy on one of my first sessions, I’m not ever going to love coming to the gym…. I’m here to tell you, I miss it when I don’t go! I came to the gym back in January and was nervous and felt intimidated. All that fear went away when I met Ryan, he was reassuring, kind and welcoming. Once we got through the initial phase, he handed me in the great care of Brandy. Brandy I can say is one of the best, she is one of the main reasons why I have invested so much time in myself. I know when I first started I needed lots of help; not with strength but with form. Brandy not only helped improve my form but she has helped me reach some of my personal best. Not only is she a great coach/trainer but she is a great human being who genuinely cares about me, there are many times when we are able to have more in depth conversations more than just fitness, but at times just about life, she makes me feel extremely comfortable working out and coming into the gym. There are many times when I am having a bad day that when I come in to the gym, just seeing her makes it a little easier, but only because she is extremely bubbly, outgoing and has a great aura about herself, she at times is so contagious with her personality that you have no choice but to smile and have fun. I appreciate Brandy and Ryan for making this place welcoming and friendly, there isn't one time that they haven't greeted me with open arms and made me feel important. This is the ideal gym to go to, they not only care about your health, but they care about you as an individual, they want to see you be happy and successful. I am forever grateful for them, I would like to thank them for my progress and my continued growth. If you are looking for a great atmosphere, with great coaches and an amazing program, this is the place to be, they will push you to be the best version of you.

Brickhouse is one of the best places to get a solid workout. All the people both coaches and athletes bring lots of positivity and good energy to the box. Joining Brickhouse is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. For the past four months, I have felt unyielding support from my coaches and the Brickhouse community as I’ve worked to build a stronger body and mind. I attend the 5:45AM group classes 3x a week and there’s no better way to start my day. No matter what point you’re at in your fitness journey, this team of passionate, well-trained professionals have struck the perfect balance between meeting you where you are and pushing you just a little bit further each time to foster serious growth and help you meet your goals.
The atmosphere here is the opposite of intimidating - every body type and experience level is represented, and everyone is welcome. Each workout begins with a detailed demo of the movements by the coaches. They offer modifications for every movement and cultivate a safe space to try new things and find what’s best for you. This means you’ll never start a workout not knowing what you’re doing, so once you start, you can just focus on doing the work. Nutrition is woven into every aspect of your time at the gym, whether that be through one-on-one coaching sessions, a pre-workout discussion on the best way to fuel your body afterward, or one of the fun nutrition challenges that happen throughout the year.
The gym itself is spotless and huge - big enough to house not only all of us while working out, but also to provide a space for various celebrations, book club meetings, and volunteering activities (most recently we held a holiday toy drive for Roanoke’s Dept of Social Services)! That’s my favorite thing about being part of the Brickhouse family: Brickhouse gives back. If you value kindness, community, and challenging yourself to be the best that you can be, there is a place for you at Brickhouse.

Brickhouse coaches care about the total person, and not only work to strengthen your body through fitness and nutritional coaching, but also your mind and spirit. How many gyms do you know that have a book club? Brickhouse does! We also work to give back to our community through different initiatives throughout the year.
I've been a Brickhouse member since 2018 and in that time my fitness abilities have grown tremendously. Through the coaching and support of Brickhouse coaches, I've gained skills and abilities that leave me in awe of what my body can do! Regular training at Brickhouse has also led to improved sleep and improved health markers, such as lower cholesterol and blood pressure. While the workouts vary from day to day and week to week, we also have benchmark workouts throughout the year that allow you to track your fitness and the gains you've made over time. Brickhouse workouts are challenging but can be scaled and modified for your fitness level and abilities. The first step is often the hardest, but once you take that step and commit to your health, fitness and well-being, the coaches and members of Brickhouse Health and Fitness are there to walk with you step-by-step in your journey.

A little over four months ago when I walked through the doors of Brickhouse I never thought my life would be changed into what it is today. I knew that I wanted a change and I’ve dieted and had personal training before but I was looking for something that would stick. Four months ago I walked into Brickhouse over 300lbs and now I’m down almost 50lbs! As a larger guy I was really unsure how this journey would go for me. I didn’t have a lot of confidence and I remembered my first day vividly. I watched people doing pull ups, push-ups, burpees and sweating while cycling and rowing. I immediately thought to myself, I don’t know if this is for me because I didn’t see myself doing any of that stuff and I still haven’t done some of it but most of it not only have I done but I continue to get better at it every time I walk through those doors. What I have really enjoyed about Brickhouse is the welcoming community, there are all kinds of body types present and folks are friendly. The trainers are not just interested in you doing the same things time and time again. They listen to you and craft a work out that not only is beneficial in your everyday life but also pushes you. Brickhouse is very clean and the COVID precautions are followed to the T. I really can’t say enough about this place other than it has been the one saving grace for me through this pandemic and I know for a fact that I will live longer and walk with more confidence than I’ve ever have from my experiences. If you’re looking for a place where you are excepted and you are looking for a change then take a walk through those doors like I did. We are waiting for you.

I've been fit all my life and have also been doing crossfit the past 6 years. I hit a plato the past 3-4 years in my performance and strength. Brickhouse along with Ryan (owner/trainer/pro) have helped me literally push through the plateau to achieve strength goals in the olympic and power lifting performance I've desired. Brickhouse can program amazing workouts at home or in-house to help with conditioning and strength. If you're looking for very competent, professional training to customize where you're at in your journey, this is the place for you. I can't give a higher recommendation than brickhouse in the area.

I've been working with Ryan at Brickhouse for several years now. He is very personable and makes the workout routines fun and beneficial. We've mainly focused on golf related training (cardio, core & legs). My overall fitness and my golf game have markedly improved since I started at Brickhouse.
I'm 72 years old and feel in as good a shape as I did in my 50's. Ryan has even stated that I'm probably one of the most fit 72 year olds in town!
Whenever I talk with friends or other people about golf or fitness I always mention Brickhouse and the results I've achieved working out there.
If you're interested in getting in shape I highly recommend you start working with the staff at Brickhouse.
