To follow up on "M. Gardner's" review left today on this Crunch location, someone defecated on the shower floor in the women's locker room this morning. The gym staff just stands around chit chatting behind the front desk while the gym floor is covered with trash, discarded empty bottles and wipes that are meant to be used to clean the equipment. Today December 1st is the 5th day in a row that there has been no wipes to wipe down and clean the equipment after a member's use and not one of the gym staff takes initiative to walk around and wipe the equipment down. There is body oil and residue left on the benches and equipment and we as members have no way to wipe the equipment down since all the wipe dispensers have been empty since Wednesday November 26th. When I inquired with the gym staff about replenishing the wipes the response given was that they were waiting on a shipment....and 5 days later still no wipes. This is a new location for Crunch and there appears to be no pride or respect for the gym itself by the staff. Step from behind the front desk and take a few minutes to walk the gym floor, pickup the trash, wipe down the equipment and put weights back in their proper spot that are left lying around. The same canned response from this locations management is not cutting it! Canned response: "We appreciate your detailed feedback and are committed to addressing these concerns to improve your experience at our gym."

DO SOMETHING management! Crunch members who care about and respect where they workout are quickly getting tired of the the filth and overall dirtiness of this location. Attached photo from Sunday in the locker room.

Like others here, I really want to love this gym and it succeed. Unfortunately it's becoming more and more difficult to do and see that happening. The cleanliness has fallen off sharply since they opened. Soap dispensers in the showers are routinely empty. They only have 4 showers for a gym with a goal of 6,000 members which incorporate a changing area into them. Often times I estimate 80+ people there. I don't know how they feel 4 showers is adequate. The showers are often times full so this morning I went to the stand alone bathroom/shower because I was in a hurry to shower and get out. Well about 5 minutes in an employee pops the lock and walks in on me. Completely unacceptable! Luckily I was still in the shower with the curtain drawn. I've already ordered a hotel style security latch I can install from the inside so that can't happen again.

It has 1 water fountain in the entire gym which I find to be crazy with the size of it. Equipment is starting to get sticky and numerous times now it feels like you're trying to drag the weight through sand on the cable equipment. Often times there will be head oil or sweat stains on the equipment. I completely get that it's supposed to be the responsibility of guests to wipe it down but the reality is that a lot of people don't. I would think the fact I often look at the front desk and see 2 or 3 employees standing up there socializing, one of them would be circulating the gym cleaning. But that's not the case. The locker room will routinely have trash scattered about. Just a byproduct of the kind of members $10 a month attracts but at the end of the day it's still staffs responsibility to ensure cleanliness. The shower drains constantly have sludge and hair stuck in them, sometimes to the point of being clogged. You can tell they haven't been properly cleaned for some time to the point they now have these little flies living in them that fly around while you're showering. I have no idea what's up with the treadmills but about half of them have an error all the time about a sensor and can't be used. The artificial turf matts are beyond disgusting. You can see the hair and dirt embedded in them. I guess running a vacuum cleaner over them is out of the question.

Have no fear though, about 2 months after they opened they made sure to nail everyone with the $60 annual "maintenance fee". They were for sure on top of that. I have no idea what it went towards because it definitely hasn't been used for maintenance. As much as I despised LA Fitness and soooo looked forward to this place, it's headed in the exact same direction. Hopefully they can get a manager in to get things turned around

The gym itself is decent and the staff are friendly, but the equipment really needs attention. A lot of the machines feel sticky, shake, or make rubbing sounds, which makes workouts more frustrating than they should be. It’s clear the maintenance isn’t being kept up, especially on the Nautilus equipment. The place has potential, but until they fix the equipment issues, it’s hard to rate it any higher. Anyway we can do anything about this?

EDIT: Hand dryers in the bathroom feel like it's pumping the bacteria right back into your face. Whoever designed and then whoever chose to install these faucet/dryer combos made some bad choices. Gotta place your hands delicately in the middle, to avoid the dryers. pain to use.

Equipment is already breaking.

When they set up the equipment, they already had issues. Some unilateral machines have different resistances than the other side (lots of the cables having friction). Another example, the abductor machine feet don't even align. The left side is higher and extends further.

A lot of the fixed machines don't seem great. Not adjustable and accommodating for the smaller heights.

A lot of the machines, for upper body, seem to be super wide for smaller people. Not great movement paths. Bad choice in brands/machines?

Personal trainers don't look like they're really helping the form for their clients. Some exercise selections or how they're implementing the movement is questionable.

Update: nothing much has changed, in terms of equipment still broken for long periods. They did not adjust the equipment that were poorly set up.

We've been members since this gym opened and it has deteriorated since. Broken machines for weeks, not just a few days waiting on a part as noted in your reply to this complaint three weeks ago, staff stands and the counter chatting and does not circulate to change empty wipe dispensers, check for trash by machines, etc., multiple televisions by the treadmills but 4 on GMA, 2 on weather, only one on sports (in a gym), and when i asked staff to change the channel, they stated that it cannot be done from this location. At times, on a daily basis up to half of the treadmills may indicate an error and are inoperable. Hard to believe so we too will likely be changing gyms.

Update : Nothing changed since my post, machines still broken, TVs on same channels, and tried 3 treadmills and all went to error mode. Cancelled membership on our way out due to inadequate action on my review and inept leadership of this gym.

They have so much equipment which I love. I can go in and do different things each time I go. The recovery room is totally worth it!!! Human touch, and hydro chairs as well as the red light sauna are amazing. My reason for only 4 stars is that it is usually incredibly crowded. I do try to go "off peak" but it's hard to figure out when that actually is.

Kiara needs to move her yoga flow classes out of a hot room and into a regular room because she does not turn up the temperature. It was 89F and I didn't break a sweat. Other hot yoga instructors have the temperature at 96 F. It defeats the purpose of hot yoga if Kiara doesn't have the room hot.

Best gym in Leesburg. It's about time someone came in and gave us something to be proud of. LA Fitness is a dump, and planet fitness you can never get in a workout during busy times because they lack the sheer amount of equipment. That's not a problem here. Gym is packed but stuff is still available somehow. It shows the sheer volume of stuff they have. I give it a 4 star rating though because their management needs some more training. They have not responded to a request I had for a landmine attachment in the HIIT area and was given the run around to talk to various people and no one wanted to clearly say whether or not they'd buy one for the gym. I don't like not getting answers when a yes or no is sufficient. I could have already bought my attachment from Amazon and brought it in my gym bag.

EDIT: Unlike a lot of the people who run gyms around here i got a call day of after this review and there was a landmine attachment available for use within days. Super impressive customer service. Consider me very satisfied. :)

If there were any type of policy for members that sit on their phones and sit on the machines like it’s a recliner and don’t move that would be great. It’s always bro hour at the gym. You can find five or six teenagers around every bench or every machine doing absolutely nothing but checking their hair and looking at their phones. They do not clean the equipment after they leave it. They do not put their plates back ..ZERO GYM etiquette ZERO AWARENESS THAT THERE ARE OTHERS AROUND THEM. AND I’M SURE LEESBURG CRUNCH THE FIRST SENTENCE TO THEIR RESPONSE. WILL BE “WE ARE SORRY TO HEAR THAT“ DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO FEELS THIS WAY. They have everything you need to get a good workout. There's a lot of equipment and space to use it. Plenty of squat racks, benches, and dumbbells to go around. They have recovery focused things like saunas, red light, and hydromassage. Definitely the best big box gym in Leesburg (and nicer than LA Fitness).

I give Crunch 3 stars because the don't have any specialty equipment like a pendulum squat machine or a step-up platform, multi-grip bar, or a weight belt (-1). And I'm not a fan of the personal training I've seen, as it doesn't look personalized nor well executed (-1).

I liked the gym but I had to cancel my membership and they do that typical gym thing where they charge you even after you cancel and aren’t clear about their hidden fees. I called the front desk and they offered to refund some but not all. I wish all of the hidden fees were clear when I signed up because I specified that I only wanted to sign up for one month (because I was moving) and it was expressed to me that I would only be paying for the month I was there (not the full year fee). All of the employees are very nice, including the front desk I called today, just beware that they will charge you hidden fees once you sign up and they will probably charge you after you cancel.

It’s nice to have a gym in Leesburg and I really want to like this place but probably won’t stay much longer.
There is no place to lay down and do an ab routine. They have a HitZone area that works great for such exercise but today they had it blocked for a class. Can’t use the Fitness Classroom (even though it was empty) because only classes can use that. Why not have the class in the class room instead of blocking a central area??? So the only area left is basically the center aisle when you enter the gym so you have folks walking by and almost running into you while you are working out. Ok so I will just hop on a treadmill while I wait for the class in the fit area to finish. NOPE! Half the treadmills say you can’t use them because they are reserved for a class and the other half are all in use except for the one that is broken and has been for about three weeks.
Unlike other commenters, I find the men’s locker room usually very clean but the toilet facilities are way too limited for a facility of this size and the lockers are awkwardly arranged.
It appears that this gym caters to women who take the classes and the mega men who monopolize the weight areas. For an older guy who is just looking for a quiet place to do a simple aerobic and anaerobic exercise routine and stay in shape, this isn’t it. And OBTW, the background music is way too loud and probably really not necessary since just about everyone has ear buds.
Like others have said, the staff doesn’t roam the area and make sure everyone is playing by the rules so you have lots of people resting on the equipment and playing with their phones.

Super excited to have the gym open now! We've been patiently waiting since they first announced Crunch was coming to Leesburg, and it was worth the wait. I was able to get in my workout without having to wait for benches, tons of dumbbells for each weight, nice machines. Took the hot yoga class today, Kiara was awesome.

No issues with using the rest and relax area since my original review. I only have one gripe now, involves one of the Zumba instructors, tried her class a few Sundays ago and she's hard to follow and doesn't slow down to explain anything, I didn't get a good workout and saw others actively leaving her class too.

Crunch Fitness Leesburg has been an amazing experience. The systems are easy to use and the environment is always welcoming. The overnight staff is great, and Yvan especially goes above and beyond — he even helped me come up with a meal prep plan for my goals. He’s very attentive, supportive, and makes sure you’re taken care of. Because of Yvan and the staff, I truly feel comfortable here — it feels like home with no judgment. The gym is generally a decent option, especially during off-peak hours. The staff are mostly friendly, and the facility is usually clean throughout the day. Equipment is newer and well-maintained, and pricing is competitive. However, I would strongly recommend avoiding the evening hours due to crowding and lack of supervision.

Hygiene Concerns - It’s not uncommon to see individuals walking around barefoot or shirtless in the main gym area, which is both unsanitary and unprofessional.

Limited Leg Equipment - The gym would benefit from adding another leg press and leg extension machine to accommodate demand.

Equipment Hoarding & Group Etiquette - During peak hours, especially in the evening, there are frequent issues with groups monopolizing machines. Some patrons refuse to share equipment or allow others to work in between sets, which leads to excessively long wait times.

Lack of Supervision - There seems to be minimal staff oversight to enforce gym etiquette or prevent misuse of equipment, especially by large groups or unsupervised teens.

Noise Levels - During group classes, doors are opened and loud music is blasted across the gym, particularly near the squat racks. Even with headphones, it can be highly distracting for others trying to focus.

It’s not a bad gym if you go before 8 a.m. or after 8 p.m.

During primetime hours, it’s impossible to maneuver around the groups of teenagers to get your workout in.

There are gym bags everywhere. Machines are already broken. People are walking around with no shoes or shirts on. Cleaning wipes are always empty. Overflowing trash cans and the bathroom stalls are out of toilet paper.

Leesburg needed a new gym badly, but without the right supervision, this one will become as run-down as the local LA Fitness.

I love Crunch Fitness in Leesburg because of the awesome amenities, wide variety of classes, and top-notch instructors. The class schedule is well-balanced, with perfect session lengths that fit easily into a busy day.

I’ve tried almost every class and highly recommend Pilates, Flow, and Absolution — each one is challenging, energizing, and led by motivating instructors who really know their stuff.

Big shoutout to Toni, who makes the Ride classes truly exceptional. He pushes you to give your best every time while keeping the energy high and the playlist fun.

And I didn’t even mention the relaxation area with sauna, hydro massage, cryo, tanning and red light therapy.

If you’re looking for a gym in Leesburg with variety, great vibes, and instructors who care — Crunch is the place to be!

This gym far and away has the best selection of equipment in the Leesburg area. Tons of Olympic squat racks with bumper plates and tons of bench presses which always seem to be unavailable at other gyms in the area. Also several unique HIIT type areas too. Definitely in another league on that front.

Only small negatives are the locker rooms. The area is pretty cramped. There are no paper towels. Also the sauna is really bright which makes it hard to relax in. Those are small things though it’s an awesome gym.

I am quite happy as a member of Crunch Leesburg. They have a fantastic array of equipment and classes. The facilities are very clean and the staff is welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend them!

I just want to give a big shoutout to Roxana, the cleaning staff member at Crunch Fitness! She’s always working diligently and does an amazing job keeping the entire gym spotless. You can really see the care and attention she puts into maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. It makes a huge difference in the workout experience. Thank you, Roxana!

As someone who’s never once completed a project on time, I fully understand.

On a different topic though, I see the membership rate is not actually $10/month like you advertised literally everywhere, but rather it’s $12/month with a hidden processing fee. Can I get rid of the fee if I pay directly from my bank account? Do you want me to send you a monthly check in the mail? Or is the membership actually just $12/month. At least it beats the $42/month I’m paying at LA fitness… I wish you would have just said it was $12 from the beginning though.

Anyways, love the gym. Keep up the great work! Just let me know about the $2 fee thing when you get a chance 😉

If I’m dreaming, don’t wake me up. Ever. This is the gym that Leesburg has needed for ages. I wouldn’t mind working out for nine hours just to use all the machines I’ve ever wanted to use, but never had access to until now lol! (9-hr workout not recommended).

Hands down best Gym in Leesburg. The amount of equipment available and classes are second to none. My only takeaway is bar code should be developed for already registered guests. That should speed things up.

I can appreciate the frustration with the delay of opening but this is by far the nicest gym i’ve been to. The first day they opened I asked an employee to give me a tour and she was very friendly and happy to do so. I pay $35 a month which could be considered expensive but it is well worth it for not just the environment, but the variety of amenities they offer.

This is by far the best club I’ve ever been to. And I’m 69 years old, and a retired Physical Therapist. It’s new, well equipped, almost sterile clean, climate comfortable, well staffed, clean locker room, clean showers with soap included, separate dressing rooms, open 24/7, unlike their competitor, whom I just left to join here, and their pricing allows options depending on your interests and service preferences. I’m happy and I’m here to stay. My new gym home. 🤗

This is the best gym in the area, BY FAR. It was so worth the wait for it to open and enjoy all of the great amenities it has to offer. Red light therapy and infrared heating sauna/hot room is absolutely amazing for health and detox. As a neighboring business, we completely understand the process with permitting and inspections can often be lengthy and out of your control. You handled the process professionally and we are so glad that people can now utilize all that your gym has to offer. If you are not a Crunch Member, you are missing out!

I absolutely love this gym, it was 100% worth the wait. I’ve had this membership since June, and kept my LA fitness one while I waited. Now I’m ready to fully transfer. Please don’t be fooled by the negative reviews, the gym has only been open for less than a day. Give it a shot!

People are complaining about the opening dates. Being in the home building business I can totally understand the headache that goes with all the required final inspections. They have been nothing but professional and helpful. Yes, we are excited but let’s give them a break. The gym is looking great and the outdoor work out has being great. Thank you

Give the gym a shot before you leave a negative review. Seems clearly a few people need to learn how to exercise patience’s ;). Any new business takes a while to open, from restaurants, to studios, especially gyms. The gym is absolutely beautiful and welcoming staff. I’m so excited to start a new gym journey here.

This business hasn’t even opened yet and it’s terrible. You guys have given us 100 different opening dates which is crazy unprofessional. There has also been lying over social media and over the phone when you guys say the fire Marshall is coming to inspect to open, and then you guys fail because you somehow don’t know what is required safety wise. I’m incredibly disappointed as I was told opening date was late May and it is now July. Do better.
