Overall, the pool is poorly run and transparency is nonexistent. Questions and concerns are met with hostility and any answers provided will only leave you with more questions. Their go-to response is that the business is a non-profit and run by volunteers, which is somehow passed off as a reasonable excuse for any shortcomings.

The facilities are rundown (with the baby pool in non working condition for two years now) which inevitability invites questions around the allocation of funds despite increases in membership fees, “renting” out the facilities, open to the public days, and other requests for donations.

Management and board members are completely unresponsive and refuse to acknowledge member messages and concerns. I’ve sent three member portal messages and three Facebook messages over the past month notifying them of my intent to cancel my membership and requesting confirmation of my notice yet all messages have gone without a response.

After three years of membership, I can confidently say each year has gotten worse and the annual membership fee is not worth three months of pool use and poor leadership.

My family have been members for at least 20 years. The improvements on the pool this year are fantastic. All the staff have always been wonderful helpful people.

Came to Culpeper Recreational Club for a birthday party. The staff is wonderful. The big swimming features a diving board and 10' water depth. It also features a shallow kids pool. Both pools are clean and the temperature was perfect for a 90 degree Virginia summer day, although we experienced a couple of thunderstorms which we had to wait out. While we waited we had a gathering in the upstairs of the barn building-features a gymnasium, basketball hoops, folding tables with chairs, and an entertainment room downstairs. The changing rooms / bathrooms are clean and good working condition. There is a playground outside for young children. Also the location is in the country side of Culpeper with an amazing view of mountains. I highly recommend this location!

The pool is fine, it’s chipped at the bottom, but when I need to take a gargantuate DUMP I take one in the showers! It makes me feel a little more safe and comfortable

Called to see if they offered one time visit for purchase to see if this is a place I want to invest my money in for my kids for the remainder of the year and upcoming years. The young girl on the phone was so sweet but the manager I could hear in the background answer “NO” . She did not ask any details offer an explanation as to why she would not be able to or apologize. I hope this community business has plenty of money and does not need anymore members....The young girl was more apologetic perhaps she should be the Manager!!!

We aren't members, but have had great experiences at this facility. My kids did swim lessons through parks and rec, and the vendor event before the holidays is always a blast.
