I was intimidated to start this journey being new to this area and unsure of the environment and previous experiences elsewhere. My first time walking into the Fitcamp I felt so welcomed and in such a positive environment. No matter if I show up to the 5am or 5pm class the energy and encouragement is all the same!
Derrick has challenged me in ways I never knew of, but I have never felt so energized and accomplished after!
The most important take away for me was not just the physical aspect but the mental aspect as well. He has taken his time to really understand when I was struggling and never gave up on me, which helped me keep up the work I had worked hard to get to!

I had the opportunity to join the 14-Day training experience at the D. Scott’s Fitness Camp. I was not prepared initially, but I soon realize I had to get focused to obtain the desired results. Derrick will not let you take the easy route, he will challenge you and push you to greater lengths, you did not know existed in you; however, more importantly he will motivate you and support you in your fitness journey. I know because he taught me that in such a short amount of time. I did not know my true strength, until I completed his training. The members I trained with were all friendly and down to earth. Training with Coach D was 2 weeks I will NEVER forget! If you were to ever ask yourself why a trainer is needed, let me tell you. I was pushed in ways I’ve never been pushed before, I was doing weights and movements I never have done before, I learned so much about myself in such a short time, I know his 6 month program is beyond worth it! Things i despise are business owners who lack professionalism! Signed up for a free boot camp that was advertised on Facebook. I was required to schedule an orientation to go over the program and scheduled my date for Monday June 24 at 7:00 am. I received a confirmation email and text message. Showed up to the establishment at 6:55 am and waited to enter at 7:00 am. Door was locked, the lights were turned off, and there were no other cars in the parking lot. Waited until 7:15 and no one came. Texted the coach to confirm appointment time that was scheduled. I get a response asking if I wanted to reschedule and to text him once in walking inside??? Huh how can I walk inside if your doors are locked? Why am I texting you if your supposed to be expected me at 7:00 am?

I really enjoyed having Derrick as my trainer and attending the group sessions. He is definitely going to motivate you out of your comfort zone and help you tap into strength might not know you had. For me it was more mental and physical which is something major I needed. He’s really good at helping you with your weaknesses like if you have bad knees he will modify your workout to prevent further injury and build strength in the supporting areas of your body, always reminds you to breathe properly and keep your core engaged. I’m definitely thankful I had the opportunity to train at the fit camp and when other aspects of my health are fully addressed I hope to return and train again.

I had the best experience at DScott’sfitcamp! I was eased into light workouts to see where I was and only progressed from there. I never thought I was going to be able to lift/ squat heavy ever again due to an injury, but because of Derricks encouragement and training I was able to achieve that goal. Derrick also helped with my diet plan and tracked what I ate so that I was doing my part outside of the gym. He’s a man that helps you stay focused on your goals, not only in the gym, but outside of it too. He reminds you that taking care of yourself (self care, eating right, drinking plenty of water) is apart of your weight loss journey. I can’t thank Derrick enough for instilling courage, confidence, and pride in me. I have lost weight and inches and my confidence back. Thank you, Derrick Scott, for making sure that even when I felt like quitting… I had my goals in mind. Thank you for pushing me and showing me that I can do this! Because “it’s all in your mind, if you tell yourself you can’t do it, then you won’t do it. Keep telling yourself you can, and you will” -Derrick Scott.

Wow what an amazing experience. Derrick is the ttpe of trainer that knows how to push his clients. Did things in his class I didn't even think I could do. Because of his class it gave me the motivation to workout on my own as well and adopt a much healthier diet and I've noticed some real changes in my body and the scale. I’m so glad I joined D. Scott’s FITCAMP! I came in hurting, broke down and intimidated, but I had a reason to be there! A “WHY” I wanted to change my life and that small amount of encouragement was all I needed to walk in the door and all D. Scott needed to hear to begin training me. He’s literally a ball of positive energy, extremely motivating and simply very good at training! He observes your movements for proper form, he listens to what you say to him and always has the best workouts put together for maximum results. I had given up after 2020, turned into a slug for lack of a better word. I was starting happy hour at 2 pm and no drive to do anything active. I was turning 51 so who cares right? I was miserable ! Working with Derrick is just what I needed to get back on track after my surgery. I know that on my own it’s easy to give up when exercises are painful or too hard. So I needed to work with a trainer to remain accountable. But it has definitely made a difference with strengthening my core and I’m having less back pain for longer periods of time. I’ve been apart of D Scott’s Fitness program a little over 6 months. I began the program with severe back pain due to a car accident that took place about 2 years ago. Starting off was very rough but I began to gain a lot of strength in my lower back and increase my intensity and reps within my workouts. I highly recommend D Scotts fitness program, especially with those who are beginners within fitness in general. I hardly have any back problems anymore and I wouldn’t know where I’d be today if I hadn’t started when I did. (10/10) best trainer I’ve ever had!

He will help you grow physically, getting your body into shape with workouts specifically tailored to your wants and needs, while also activating your mind, helping you gain a positive metal state. I have been working out with Derrick for a little over a year, and I can honestly say he loves what he does and it shows. You will get all his attention, all of his experience and expertise as he designs a workout that is right for you, challenging you with every session. And if you don’t live in the area, don’t fear, he does offers virtual workouts. I live in Michigan, I workout three times a week virtually with Derrick, and I have been reaping the benefits. I feel great, I look great, I have more energy than ever. He’s amazing!
