After moving to Alexandria from another studio, I was nervous that I wouldn’t feel the same welcomeness and community I felt in my old studio - I was wrong! The coaches make each and every person feel welcome and seen, and will help modify exercises according to individual strengths/injuries/fitness levels. Scott, the owner, is a great guy who goes the extra mile to give F45 Old Town a real sense of community and commaderie. He’s very attentive to everyone’s needs and work out style. He will correct your form when it’s needed and he’s also quite the comedian!

Jay is that trainer every studio should strive to clone. He will push you with positive encouragement and energy that makes it impossible not to match and excel. The guy cares and takes pride in his work. His client facing demeanoir is awesome and he’s truly one of a kind! Been to other studios around the US (and other countries) and this one, in particular, holds has a special, unique place.

I've been attending classes here consistently over the past 15 months. My favorite part of this gym is that the exercises work different muscles each day, and the class flies by and is structured in a way that keeps the workout fresh throughout the duration of the class.

All of the coaches are great, and they help you make minor-but-important adjustments to make sure you're working the right muscles and not at risk of injury. They also provide modifications if you want to avoid moving in certain ways. The owner Scott is also a pretty funny guy.

F45 is an excellent option for total overall fitness. Classes rotate between cardio, strength, and mixed strength/Cardio. I’ve been going for several months and am so much stronger and fitter. I Like the format better than crossfit. The movements are less technical but still effective. Best of all, I’m never the last one in a ‘rounds for time’ workout because the entire class starts and finishes all movements at the same time.

I joined F45 Old Town after having a trial week at both Old Town and at the Arlington/Ballston locations. The workouts are tough and effective at both locations but Old Town’s atmosphere is friendlier and more welcoming so I chose to join this gym (note: the Arlington location wasn’t rude, I just felt more at home at Old Town).

All of the trainers here are friendly and constantly correct your form (without making you feel dumb) which is incredibly important since the workout is relentless — doing these moves with piss poor form is dangerous. If you tell the coaches of any injuries or limitations they all do a really good job remembering what those are and they give you just as challenging modifications. I highly recommend F45 and if Old Town is near you (or if you don’t mind driving to it), join Old Town!

If you have troubling navigating your own workouts or staying motivated at regular gyms I highly recommend F45. The team workouts are so much fun and the coaches are so much fun. The HIIT circuit workouts usually switch up every class and you'll feel challenged every time. I regret not joining F45 sooner and recommend anyone that wants to get fit and healthy to sign up.

"Team training, life changing" is more than just a slogan, it is what happens every single day at F45. It is more than a gym, it is family. The trainers are motivating, personable, knowledgable and top notch. By just showing up and working hard for 45 minutes per workout I saw results and progress that far exceeded my expectations. The wide variety of lifting, core, cardio, and functional exercises are ever-changing, never dull, and always challenging. I am truly sad that I'm moving away from Old Town Alexandria, at least for a time, but if I'm fortunate enough to back in the area I know exactly where I'll be training - at F45 Old Town.

I’ve been coming to this gym after reading a news article online. I absolutely love it. Everyday is something different and you will never do the same workout twice. A HIIT functional training gym that is attentive to detail, while pushing the client to get in a great 45 minute to 1 hour workout. The trainers can modify any exercise to make it easier or harder. The trainers will help the client correct any form issues and explain proper form, also physically demonstrate correct technique. Trainers motivate and encourage clients to work hard and keep moving until there is a rest beak. I enjoy working out here and I enjoy being around the people in my classes. -a great group setting, which is also motivating for the client. I've seen a lot of progress in my fitness goals since I began going to F45 months ago.
