This was actually one of the first gyms I ever trained at here in VA Beach and what helped me fall in love with training. The owner went out of his way to help me with my nutrition when I was just starting out getting into bodybuilding. I also met life long friends there as well. If you have a love for an old style gym, this is it. Great people and atmosphere.

I grew up and trained in this gym as a little kid into my adult years. Without this gym I would not have accomplished all that I did . From National kickboxing championships to multiple state Wrestling Titles, leading me to a D1 Wrestling scholarship as well. The gym is Iconic Stable in Virginia Beach. Flex gym is the real deal.

Wish I could give this place 10 stars.
Swear my testosterone went up just walking thru this gym.Not only did they have an original nautilus pull over machine,they had 2 others too.
Literally like my dream gym.If you are bodybuilder or want to put on muscle,I cannot recommend this place enough.great machines old school,sweat and iron type of gym.The guy at the front desk was real cool.Can't wait till I come back next year💪

Absolutely amazing gym, it's clean, has about everything you need for your workout. The staff are great, if you're unsure how to use a machine they'll show you no problem at all.

The only con about the place is it's not 24hrs but the vibe makes up for it.

Great gym- cleanest gym I’ve ever gone to- amazing family and friendly environment!! I’ve now going now over a year and have been training with Mercedes who rocks my world! Mercedes is an IFBB pro and produces champs!! No judgement - you can start at any level with her. If you give her 30mins she will change your life! She always greets with a beautiful smile and has a motivating attitude!! Her style of training is focused on the individual! I’ve been with a few diff coaches and can tell you she focuses every workout towards my needs. No back pain- no hip pain! Being a woman and finally seeing those love layers disappear with nothing extra than visiting Mercedes feels absolutely amazing!

Unfortunately I was a member in this gym for a month but within that one month experience i could tell that this gym is the real deal, the staff is a community, and I also follow them on Instagram and they are a real team.
Though my time was very short as a member due to my job taking away my time to be active in the gym I still recommend this gym to anyone in search of somewhere to be a part of a great team, and hopefully I can make my way back through those doors at flex gym.

I've had memberships with Onelife and Planet Fitness and can say this is the only gym that makes me want to stay longer and keep working out. Tons of great equipment, most is a little old but works great. I don't like the rubber band pulley equipment planet fitness or Onelife has. This gym is it!

This is the gym of all gyms in the area!! Straight hardcore powerhouse no fluff and cute fillers!! Noise is allowed from 45s clangn and bangn!! I cant say enough about this place, awesome gym, amazing environment. They dont make gyms like this anymore; real weights, old school machines (even the old school icarian pec deck!) Real iron plates and dumbells, cambered bars, squat racks. I could go on and on. If I moved to the area I would probobly join this gym before I even moved into a house!

Wonderful gym! Very old school/body building vibe going on in there. They have black iron weights, chalk for the lifters, photos on the wall with fitness competitors and they even have competition scores for weight lifters at the gym who participate. This place is basically a gym rat's playground. It's beautiful! I actually came here to train as a trial with a personal trainer friend and I will definitely return. It's a bit pricey but they have various payment choices for frugal people like myself 😂😭. The staff are also very welcoming. Oh people from all ages workout there too, everyone is actually working out. Alot of visually appealing people here too. lol. Alot of old school impressive machines. Mannnn this place is a total Arnold dream!

If you want an old school black iron gym where you can workout in an atmosphere that is friendly, not intimidating, and allows the opportunity to get fully absorbed in your workout, this is the place. It is not a chain owned "fitness club" and it isn't real fancy BUT it is the best place around for the person who wants to get serious with weight lifting, physique transformation, strength training, and have knowledgeable trainers on hand to give advice.

True black iron gym. Older equipment but it all works. What you get at Flex is the chance to work out around professional athletes who have forgotten more about fitness than you could know. Everyone is friendly and helpful and serious about lifting. Only rule is don't pester the celebrities.

Nice Gym. Has a lot of equipment. Also, they have weekly passes for $25 that are convenient for people who are visiting for vacation. Only 1 treadmill, but it's a bodybuilder gym so that's understandable. Needs a nice clean.
