Highly recommend HB, my daughter followed Sophia from her previous place to HB, and she’s been crucial in building up my kid’s strength, speed and confidence over the 3 years she’s been working with her. Numerous appts with therapists, chiropractors, and doctors for my daughter’s persistent knee pain finally ended when we met Sophia. She was able to setup a program to address and resolve the pain. She’s been very supportive of my daughter who considers Sophia a role model!

Prior to working with Sophia Chabrat (who I followed to Healthy Baller), I spent 3 months in PT, making no progress whatsoever. Sophia took the time to understand my individual needs and worked with me to overcome my difficulties and deficiencies. The entire team at HB is AMAZING! If you need a PT, Drew is the person to see. He is the best! Bonus - he is a down to earth good person. Kane, Chris, and Sophia are the top notch. Each seem to have their specialities and ages they work with. Our 12 year old really enjoys her strength and conditioning sessions with Sophia. She is really invested in the development of girls and it’s great to see the progress. Chris is awesome with speed training this summer. Also a nice guy and trains the kids hard, which we like. Kane focuses on older age group and he is fantastic with our older daughter. Can’t go wrong with the team at HB. If I could give ten stars I would. We highly recommend!

I've worked with Coach Sophia for over three years now across two places, and she gives top notch advice, creates intricate workouts, and is incredibly kind and thoughtful to each and every one of her students. Additionally, I have been shadowing the head Physical Therapist, Drew Dudek, this summer, and he creates phenomenal bonds with his patients.

Choosing Healthy Baller for PT following hip replacement surgery was the best decision I could have made to get me back to doing the things I love - cycling, lifting weights, walking my dog. I worked with Lauren Cox for 4 months - she is incredible. Each session was an hour. I was never handed off to a tech. Her programming was perfectly aligned to where I was in the healing process. She knew when and how to challenge me to improve range of motion and strength. The HB facility and team are second to none - they’ve created a positive, encouraging community of athletes, young and old(er). I looked forward to my PT sessions every time. And I’m pretty sure I shed a tear during my last session with Lauren ;) Healthy Baller was out-of-network for insurance coverage, but 1000 times better than going to one of those PT farms. Because of Lauren, I’m back on my bike and looking forward to my next gravel bikepacking adventure!

My daughter has been training with Chris at HB Alexandria off and on for a number of months. I can say with all honesty that Chris not only custom tailored my daughter’s workouts to support her development as a lacrosse player and draw specialist, but also provided updates on her strengths and weaknesses, tweaks to her program and has been unbelievably flexible with scheduling. It’s no joke trying to ensure that top level athletes are prepared to compete but working that into a complex schedule is truly challenging. While I consider myself a fit person I was in a workout rut of doing the same things over and over and frankly being bored. I have gained significant strength, coordination and balance since working out at Healthy Baller and I actually look forward to going because it’s fun. My daughter is obsessed! Although only in 5th grade, she started jumping in with the lax open sessions with Shelby over the summer and continued into the fall and winter months. Through the open sessions, she has met other athletes both her age and older and has been appropriately challenged and supported in learning new skills.

My daughter has been doing semi, small group lessons and teamwork sessions with HB for the last 2 years (she’s currently in 6th grade) and she’ll be continuing with HB for as long as she’s an athlete! She LOVES IT! She has primarily worked with Gussie, but she’s been taught by other HB pros and they’re all fabulous. Gussie has helped my daughter so much with her dodges; teaching new ones and repeating her teachings over and over, cementing that muscle memory. Her shooting has also improved SO much w both accuracy and speed. Footwork, quickness and game speed/ IQ are also things we have noticed a change. Not only are her skills improving, but her confidence, too. Our mantra at home is that first and foremost, lacrosse , and sports , should be FUN. That ideology is also practiced at Healthy Baller , with a healthy and positive mindset being enforced. Have a bad attitude & throw your stick ? Pushups. There is no space for negativity there. Speaking of space - don’t be fooled by the industrial park! The facility is clean , plenty of space to work out in, and always the right temperature. (The little things ! ) The professionalism and dedication to the athletes is above and beyond- our daughter has benefitted so much and she is SO LUCKY to have Gussie as a HB Coach!

When my son injured his arm pitching, Kane modified the activities so my son could still work on his fitness while protecting his arm. We are so thankful to Kane and the entire Healthy Baller community for creating a supportive environment.

My 16 year old son worked with Harry Fischer DPT to rehab after a painful lumbar stress fracture. My otherwise very active son was on rest for 3 months before starting PT with Harry. Harry was so good with him not only technically but also addressing his questions and helping him develop a good mindset about recovery. Harry gave him advice to help him navigate all the little things that are really big things - like all those decisions you have to make along the road to recovery, like how much soreness is normal? did I do too much? am I ready to start rotational movements? etc. At the end of his treatment, my son was confident and physically ready to play at his pre-injury level. Can't recommend Harry enough!

We are so fortunate to have found Healthy Baller and have been paired up with phyiscal therapist, Harry Fischer! My daugher tore her ACL playing in a tournament earlier this summer. She had surgery 4 weeks ago and we are amazed at how much progress she has made working twice a week with Harry. She is definitely further along in her recovery than we had anticipated. Dr. Drew Dudek was the best Physical Therapist that my 15 year old has ever had. She has seen 2 other PTs before Drew. My daughter active in Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Basketball, Cross Country and Swimming. Along with growing pains and these sports, she has had knee, ankle, achilles and back issues. Drew has helped her resolved all of these issues with just seeing him once a week. He provided daily stretches and support via text messages when needed.

My two children, ages 14 & 12 workout with Justin Halsey at the Alexandria, VA location. They began working out in the summer of 2021 2-3 times a week, and both have improved coordination, strength, and overall physical fitness. The workouts are fun, engaging, and designed to meet whatever athletic or fitness needs you or your children want. The trainers are extremely professional and friendly. In addition to fitness, they do offer physical therapy (we have not used this service) and from observing their clients, I can see that they really care about the safety and well-being of the athlete and making sure they are strong enough to return to the sport they love. Healthy Baller offers many specific sport clinics, individual, sibling, and group classes. If you are looking for a place for your athlete or yourself, I would highly recommend Healthy Baller — you won’t be disappointed.

Recently moved to the DMV area and I found Healthy Baller. I am beyond happy that I did! I’ve had chronic knee and back pain for years and was desperate for a solution. I’ve been working with Drew and he’s been awesome. He’s extremely knowledgeable and patient and I’ve made so much progress in the past few months. I've been going to Healthy Baller for years now (first in MD office now in Alexandria), and could not be happier with my experiences there. I've recommended them to my brother, my wife, my coworkers, everyone I know in the area. Unlike most doctors and physical therapists I've seen in the past, Teddy focuses on how I can safely and effectively do the things that I want to do, instead of just telling me to rest or cut out activities. Performance training continues to be critical to our son's success as a developing (basketball) player. Working with Blair and Justin, we were able to establish a baseline of key metrics specific to our son's sport. Because of the data-driven approach taken at HB, we were able to set and measure goals (explosiveness, vertical, etc.).

Originally, our goal was to simply help our son avoid injury--trust me, it's better (cost and timing) to pay a performance center to prevent an injury than a doctor to (hopefully) fix one. However, Blair and his team have shown us that HB is a much more!

One time, when our son did tweak his back at a practice I texted Blair. To my surprise, he called me within five minutes and walked our son through some exercises to understand what was going on. A+++++!

Thanks for all you do, HB. Highly recommended!

The staff is not just professional and top-notch in what they do, they are amazing people who truly have their clients best interests at heart. Our son was referred to Healthy Baller by a friend following a discussion about injury prevention in young athletes. He started working out at Healthy Baller in Rockville prior to the opening of the Alexandria location. For convenience, he started at the Alexandria location opening day. The experience is equally as amazing in Alexandria as it was in Rockville. The facilities are state of the art, clean and they follow great covid protocols. The trainers are knowledgable, experienced and fun.They have been very available for questions and guidance outside of the facility and take a keen interest in ensuring success for their athletes. Our son participated in the the Summer Hoopers group training June thru August of this year and we were equally as impressed. Highly recommend Healthy Baller.

My oh my, what good can I say about HealthyBallers!!!! First off they are all incredible people who love to help people get back to their way of life, I started working with big boss Blair this recent summer and boy has my life changed. I constantly did not feel good about myself on a daily basis. I decided to go with my hubby one day just to test the waters and boy did I fall in love. All of them push me to be a better me. I’ve constantly been in a battle with my health and working with them has also helped, in order to wake up everyday you have to feel great. We’ll thats how I feel but 1000x better. They focus on your Heath, they revisit old habits that need to be changed. The constant pushing from the trainers and being able to walk in with a smile and everyone smile back or “fist pump me” makes everything 200x better.
