I've been coming to Hot House for about a month now, and I absolutely love it! All of the instructors I've encountered have been nothing short of friendly, kind, and helpful. They offer great deals for beginners, as well as equipment rentals. I've attended a variety of classes/instructors and have found them all to be challenging, intentional, and relaxing. It's a great place to "escape" to!

This was our first time at hot house yoga and we loved how welcoming the experience was. Amy gets 6 stars from us. From the included towels and mat with your first class to the cold lavender towel placed on your forehead at the end of the session the details are all taken care of. Needless to say we’ll be back!

I've been coming to Hot House for 7 years and absolutely love this place. If you have aches and pains be ready to have those melt away. The Zen feeling you get after each class is enough of a reward to keep you coming back. If this is your first time, I would highly recommend Melanie M's stability class Sunday's at noon (Norfolk Location). This place is seriously the best treat I've ever given my mind, body and soul.

The Laskin location has a rubber floor for those with joint sensitivity. Note: It will make balancing a little more challenging though🙏🏼

I cannot recommend Hot House enough. Both locations are stupendously clean, comfortable, and peaceful. Every employee I've had the pleasure to interact with has been so friendly, accommodating, and professional. The classes are challenging and relaxing at the same time. You'd be hard-pressed to find a teacher who doesn't wholly embody the practice during class. I personally recommend Laura or Melanie M's classes if you're looking to really challenge yourself and deepen your practice.

Lots of people complain it's expensive. Personally I find it is totally worth the cost when you consider how much preparation goes into training the teachers (certainly there are some specificities to teaching yoga in a hot environment when it comes to health and things like that), and maintaining an environment of learning and openness. Not to mention how much cleaning has to go in to each class afterwards, as well as the fact that they have multiple showers and comfort amenities like Q-tips and even mouthwash.

The only thing I don't like is that for a "monthly" membership, they bill on a 28-day billing cycle. This means that every month your bill is going to come on a different, earlier date. I kind of feel like if they're going to call it a "monthly" membership, then the charges should come out on the same day every month. This way makes it a challenge to budget for and I have had problems making payments because of that. Not to mention, technically you're not getting an actual monthly membership at all. In the future I might go with the class card vouchers, that way I am not subject to what could easily be seen as a cash grab.

But honestly that is a minor inconvenience when you look at the value Hot House Yoga brings to your own life. I definitely will be returning again and again.

Namasté 🙏🪷💎

I wish I could give Hot House all of the stars in the UNIVERSE! I have been going to Hot House for about 5 months now, 3-5 classes a week on average, I am so in love. Hot Yoga has changed my life, spiritually and physically. The cherry on the sunday is the Hot House studio's sense of community. The staff and instructors are all wildly talented, professional, sweet, and COOL. I'm so happy I started on the hot yoga journey with Hot House, it has changed my life. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I've been a member since the beginning of this year and I love it! The staff is always so kind (even remember my name!) and the studio is so aesthetically pleasing. It's always very clean (even before COVID I felt like the studio was SO clean). And, most importantly, the instructors are all so lovely. I always feel amazing when I leave--I look forward to going nearly every day.

AMY IS THE BEST! She went above and beyond when I noticed an issue with my account. Talked to her on the phone and within that same hour- she calls back just to reassure me that everything's been taken care of and she was just so pleasant to work with. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Can't wait to come back.

I suppose I am somewhat biased as the Hot House Norfolk studio was the first to pop my yoga cherry. I was having the absolute worst day ever and came to my very first yoga session here and left with a calmness and mental clarity that I don't think I've ever experienced before- since then I've been hooked. I've raved about this place to all of my friends and my mood and outlook on things are always sunnier when I go. On top of mentally, I have seen a major transformation physically in my performance with my lifts and CrossFit workouts. I used to have frequent shoulder issues that are seriously no longer since regularly attending hot house. The studio is incredibly put together with the nicest staff at the front desk and worth every penny. I will definitely be the first to go to a flow class over a stability but I have not been disappointed by any sessions I've ever attended. The yoga teachers are all awesome but Buck is my favorite- Hands down! The wisdom he leaves with you at the beginning and end of every class makes my yoga experience even richer. If only I could take this place to DC with me! I will definitely be dropping in whenever I am in town!

NOT EXPENSIVE!!! FREE 1st session until February 14 (Share the LOVE event). Feel free to mention my name; I've already brought 4 friends; 2 have signed up themselves, another is considering it, and I have a new friend coming Monday to see Gary (Smitty) for Hot STABILITY 👌

Unlimited $99/mo includes:
Free mat rental
All toiletries (feminine, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, ponytail holders, plastic bags for dirty clothes, qtips, lotion, mouthwash)
Towel service (bath, mat, & face/hand towel)
15% off merchandise (stackable to 50% on clearance items)
15% off YAX Studio events/classes
FRIENDS & KNOWLEDGE THAT YOU CAN'T GET ANYWHERE ELSE

SUPER CLEAN FACIKITY. I've personally been at all hours of the day and have literally seen them on hands and knees bleaching the showers, wiping down mats & blocks, throwing the laundry in the washer/dryer while wearing heavy duty rubber gloves.

I haven't had the chance to catch a class with the owners teaching, but they've been in MANY of my classes.

•3-5 minute grace period for class time
•Suggested to come 15 minutes prior to meditate and make sure you have a spot
•Temp & humidity set depending on ambient temperature outside & in (when I asked at6pm class it was 101° with 25% humidity.
•Cold (from the drink cooler) lavender towels placed on the forehead at the end of class if you have time to meditate in corpse pose at the end

I started with the 2 week unlimited and bounce between Norfolk & VB depending on class schedule and my personal wife, church, work, friend schedule.

I did 7 sessions in 7 days (Friday off, but 2 on Wednesday)
My second week I did 12 sessions in 7 days 2 each except none on Friday and 1 at another (no heated) yoga studio (YOGA NOOK in Chesapeake with Alex for restorative yoga with a friend). I found out myfriend likes restorativebut MY body CRAVES HOT YOGA!

SO...INEXPENSIVE, because it's typically $20/session, but in my experience, it's only added up to $2.50/session and all I need to bring is myself and an empty water bottle 😍💆‍♀️😁

Amazing studio to practice! Very friendly. Challenging class! Lots of amenities like a first class spa. I will be returning for my next visit to the area since I live in Orlando. They aren't cheap but worth the cost. The 7 day out of town pass is great!

This is seriously my all time favorite yoga place. I live in Ft. Worth TX now but I started doing yoga here in 2010. I would literally travel to VA to go practice here. It's the best. Every time I come home for a visit I go there almost everyday. It's great!

I am a yoga therapist and this is my favorite local studio. Lots of class time choices, various class durations, and teachers who are well trained by the Yax Brothers. Been going here for five years and plan to continue as long as I live here. If you like a hot practice this is your studio.

Hot House Yoga is fantastic! I recently moved away and am desperately looking for a facility that can even come close to how great Hot House is. The reception area is welcoming. The employees are all so pleasant. The merchandise area is neat and convenient. The changing area/showers are a very comfortable treat (bath products available for use, CLEAN towels, calming decor, informative flyers posted in an unobtrusive manner). The studio is by far the cleanest studio I have ever practiced in. The cork floors are cleaned regularly, the mirrors are always shiny, and state of the art air quality control ensures there is NO lingering odor.
Cleanliness and creature comforts are clearly one of their priorities. Worth ever cent of the cost! Hot House Yoga please come to New England!!
