I love the community but the manager is the ABSOLUTE WORST. He has a habit of destroying all the community building activities. He put a stop to birthday parties for staff who are generous enough to teach on their birthdays. Then he made the unilateral decision to cancel ALL cycle classes, even though many had a cult following with beloved instructors. One instructor ONLY taught cycle. The manner in which it was done was so underhanded. People were barely given 2 weeks notice. This place costs too much to have changes we didn’t ask for shoved down our throats. That was the only studio that had 2 entrances. Why couldn’t they preserve some of the space for cycle? They could have, but again, no one asked us. I don’t need to be paying LT prices to have a Planet Fitness experience. If that’s the case, I could just go back to Planet Fitness.

I had a wonderful experience at Life Time. Ali was incredibly helpful and made the whole sign-up process easy and stress-free. He helped me sign up my entire family and took the time to explain everything clearly.
The facility is clean, spacious, and full of great amenities, making it a perfect place for families. Excellent customer service and a great first impression!

I’ve been a member at Centreville Lifetime for 3 years, and I was honestly surprised and disappointed by the removal of the cycling program. Members weren’t given any notice, and from what I understand, this wasn’t a corporate-level decision, which makes it even more confusing.
For the amount we pay to be part of this club, I would expect more transparency, consideration, and regard for the community that has been built here. Cycling wasn’t just another class on the schedule, it was a major part of many of our fitness routines and social support systems. Removing it and replacing the space with CTR reformers feels like a decision made without considering the broader member base. Not everyone can or wants to take reformer classes, and this change doesn’t benefit those who rely on cycling for cardio, endurance, and lower-impact training.
It’s frustrating to see a strong, engaged community be overlooked. I’d really like to understand the reasoning behind this decision, and whether there’s any plan to bring cycling back or offer a suitable replacement that supports the same level of accessibility and inclusivity

My one star reflects disappointment over the removal of cycle classes. For a fitness facility that promotes community and consistency, this decision feels out of touch with members’ needs. These classes foster motivation and connection. Please reconsider and engage members before making changes that impact so many.

Very disappointed that the spin / cycle classes were cancelled. There was only a week notice so many of the dedicated patrons couldn’t even attend one last class. There was a community of people who attended these classes. Patrons pay a lot of money to workout at LT and should at least be given a little more notice when a change like this is being planned.

Management at LifeTime Centreville has completely closed the cycle studio classes/program - getting rid of the studio bikes, to be replaced with special "Signature Membership" classes. It's very upsetting to lose the BEST low impact group fitness class they *used* to offer here. Two other NoVa LifeTime locations will continue to offer cycle/spin classes, but not at Centreville - my home gym. (besides the fact that my Centreville membership does not give me access to those clubs unless I pay additional monthly fees). Overall, the instructors for all the classes that I take at Centreville are excellent! However, poor management decisions here at this location is the reason for my low rating. If they want to add another signature member class offering, why not just add it somewhere in the club and keep the cycle classes? Or move cycle to another room or something - anything?! I was taking all kinds of group fitness classes for several years before I started taking cycle classes, and they improved my cardio endurance dramatically. I'm sad to lose a class offering that I enjoyed so much.

I am paying a lot for this gym and I expect privacy, but everywhere you go there is a personal trainer or group fitness instructor filming something for their social media account promoting themselves for their services. I took an alpha classes and more than 2x i end up showing up on someone’s IG stories or posts.
Personal training costs hundreds per hour why do I have to pay full price and still get posted? I did not consent but how can I deny now that the camera is rolling. I do not want to drop names but the official centreville lifetime fitness IG reposts so many times that they already know who they are. At least learn to edit and blur out everyone’s faces!!

I’ve been a loyal Lifetime member for over 10 years and usually go to the Sterling location, where the experience has always been excellent. Unfortunately, my visit to the Centreville location left me completely baffled and disappointed.
At Sterling, members are provided with a complimentary ice bucket—a thoughtful touch I’ve come to appreciate. However, Centreville charges $2 just for ice. Considering members are already paying $200+ a month for a premium experience, this policy feels unreasonable and frankly unacceptable.
It’s disappointing to see such inconsistency between locations, especially when one goes above and beyond for its members and another chooses to nickel-and-dime over something so small. I truly hope Lifetime addresses this because it undermines the value and reputation that loyal members expect.

I don’t often write reviews. I genuinely want Life Time to improve. This place has so much potential it doesn’t live up to because of operations. I’m writing this post from the pool area where there hasn’t been an employee spotting by me in 25 minutes. This is relevant not only due to the obvious safety reasons, but also because there is no staff to enforce decent behavior. Even if staff were present and observed to have witnessed any of the annoying things I regularly experience, I seriously doubt any action would be taken, whether due to fear of confrontation or mandate. In the dry spa and a lady is doing a full yoga routine next to the door with a mat, block, and towels. She then leaves her stuff strewn in front and beside the entrance to go take up more space outside to do more yoga next to the pool. This facility has a yoga studio and even spaces where people can be isolated if there isn’t a class. But this lady clearly felt entitled to do whatever she desired. While this was taking place a guy next to me was having a loud phone conversation in the confined and publicly shared space of the dry sauna. Both actions are typical and I would have been surprised to experience anything else. I fully expect that when I go into the locker room, there will be guys FaceTiming and taking selfies. Side note: as I was writing this the first employee I’ve seen in over half an hour kicked me out of the hot tub so that it could be drained. Ok, back to the locker room. I’m going to skip the steam room today, but what I would expect is to sit in there trying to relax in a regulated environment, only to be disrupted by someone tampering with the sensor to make it hot to the point of not being safe. Often these will be folks who come straight in and immediately turn the steam on with a damp towel. I have complained about all of this with no noticeable improvement. This is my third day back to Life Time after canceling out of frustration these and other reasons several months ago. The main takeaway is that a minority of people will act selfishly if not compelled to do otherwise. Through inaction or bad policy, they are enabled by management. I give the second star only because it is a nice facility.

My family and I have been enjoying Life Time for the last couple of years. The gym and surrounding areas are always clean and well maintained. We constantly see employees in all areas working hard to maintain their high standards of cleanliness.
One of the main reasons we have stayed at this gym is actually the Kids Academy. We have a 6 and a 2 year old that absolutely love spending time there. Annie, the assistant manager, is fantastic! She has always made our girls feel safe and welcome every time they come through the doors. Our two year old started here at just a few months old. We were nervous at first to leave our youngest with strangers for the first time but that changed almost immediately. Annie and the rest of the staff have proven time and time again the girls are in great hands. Everyone working in the Kids Academy deserves recognition. Sean, Gabby, Joao, Rashad, and so many more have been nothing short of fantastic. Us parents are not always the easiest to deal with but everyone there works with integrity and compassion to reassure us that our littles will be in good hands. We love Life Time Centreville and recommended it highly to anyone looking for a gym.

Amazing first experience — thank you, Maria!
Today was my first time at Lifetime Fitness, and also my first time ever using a gym in the U.S. I don’t usually work out, so I was very nervous when I arrived. But Maria, who was working in the women’s locker and shower area, helped me so much.
She patiently showed me how to use the locker, warmly greeted me, and explained how to use all the facilities in the area — including the showers, dressing spaces, and amenities. She even remembered my locker number in case I couldn’t find it after swimming.
English isn’t my first language, but she was incredibly kind and never showed any impatience. I truly appreciated her support. Maria is a wonderful staff member and made my first visit feel welcoming and safe.

Huge shoutout to Yusuf, my brother’s and I were on vacation and wanted to spend one evening at LifeTime and we were blessed to meet Yusuf who was definitely one of the top employees we’ve had the pleasure meeting and getting to know.
Each summer, my family travels across the country so we tend to visit LifeTimes that are in the area and one thing I’ve learned is that, it’s not about how big or nice the gym is, it’s about how the employees treat you and there work ethic. Yusuf is that type of employee that gravitates people to him and that’s what makes being a member at LifeTime amazing.

I was in the Centreville area on vacation and hadn’t gotten a workout in for the past 4 days. I saw there was a Life Time nearby and decided to stop by late on a Friday night. I was absolutely stunned by the customer service at the front desk—especially from a gentleman named Yusuf.
I mentioned that I was visiting from out of town and just wanted to get a quick workout in, and he couldn’t have been more welcoming. He gave me a quick rundown of the facility, showed me where everything was, and made me feel completely at home.
I’ve been to other Life Time locations while traveling, but the level of friendliness and professionalism I experienced from Yusuf was next-level. Honestly, it almost made me wish he worked at my regular club. Kudos to the Centreville team, and especially Yusuf, for making a simple drop-in visit so memorable!

Pretty run down. Wish they would upgrade their facility and refresh it to look like new. Everything about Centreville vs. Gainesville is worlds apart. Upgrade the family bathrooms, keep pools cleaner and fix dim lighting, upgrade cafe and maybe add the bar option like Gainesville, get better and brighter lighting for facility, etc.

My husband and I moved to Centreville three years ago - our only regret is that we didn't join sooner! We've been gym members in Arlington, DC, Philly (all at different brands), but there is something really special about this location. The staff are incredibly friendly, coaches pour their energy and passion into teaching a wide variety of classes (Erin, Ricardo, Josue, Zach, Brittany, Roberta, Sophie, Kaylan, Dani - thank you!), and we rave about the Kids Academy to anyone that will listen. Shawn, Annie, Ashkhan, Gabby, Angela - there are too many phenomenal care instructors to name. We've always felt our son (and now daughter) are safe and beyond well cared for.
Great amenities and we appreciate the cleanliness and the hard work the operations/facilities team puts in to make towels available, machines clean, and equipment working. It's not uncommon to see coaches and management cleaning floors and walking around to check-in on guests.
The front desk team goes out of there way to be kind and the cafe is a great spot to get work done and meet others. What you don't see in flashy renovations, the real value is the LT team, classes, and community that are worth the investment. Thanks to all the staff on the floor and behind-the-scenes that make this gym a highlight of our day. I don't know what we would do without LT Centreville.

Great gym but some safety concerns.
One being the steam shower. I’ve noticed some members covers the sensors which essentially causes the steam shower to continuously steam and increase the heat nonstop. I feel like there is no safety mechanism to prevent this.
Secondly, a lot of older folks in the locker room tend to spit/blow their nose which leads to mucus all over the shower. There’s no rules to prevent this so heads up when you shower…

The gym itself is nice, and most of the staff are friendly and helpful. However, my biggest issue is the class schedule. Most classes are either super early in the morning or after 4 PM, which makes it hard for those of us who prefer a mid-morning or lunchtime workout. I wish they offered more classes at 7 AM, 8 AM, and around noon or 1 PM to accommodate different schedules.
Additionally, for the price you pay, I would expect the gym equipment to be more up-to-date. Some of the machines feel outdated and could use an upgrade. Overall, it’s a decent gym, but I’d love to see improvements in both class availability and equipment quality.

It can be very packed, but overall I highly recommend. I give it 3.5 stars. Facilities are very nice and they have lots of options. However, not sure how I feel about their pickleball management/use of courts. In my opinion, was more fun when we played on the gym floors. Now they regulate it so much it’s almost not fun. I heard rumors they’re going to start charging signature fees to play instead of regular fees? It feels like they’re just trying to make more money. 🤦♂️

READ THIS BEFORE SIGNING UP HERE!!!
I used to frequent the lifetime centreville and have heard and seen things that are appalling and eventually lead me to cancel my membership.
1. The lifeguard policy is negligent
There are times at this pool where lifeguards are not present on the pool deck whatsoever, or there is only a single one. I was told by older members a child drowned at this location, and I can see why. The lifeguards leave the pool at their leisure, and are often times cleaning or chatting it up in their lifeguard room instead of concerning themselves with the safety of the swimmers. At the times that there is only one lifeguard, do you really expect a high school kid to pull you out of a pool? I weigh 240 pounds and there’s no way that one person could save my life if I went unconscious and began drowning.
2. The amenities are filthy
The steam room especially I find to have grime and filth coating the ground and seats. The pool deck has persistent mold and fungus that accumulates and gives off a vile stench.
3. Constant construction
Late last year the pool closed and was forecasted to be complete at a certain date. The lifetime executives there lied repeatedly and the renovation wasn’t complete until multiple months after the forecasted completion date. Amenities are constantly closed, and as far as I can see, the renovations haven’t changed anything in terms of the outdated and crumbling state of this facility. Despite this, Robert Love, the manager of the place had the nerve to increase the membership price at this health hazard of a cesspool. Go somewhere else

I am a huge fan of lifetime gyms. I will have to say this one is the least impressive doesn't seem as clean around the Jacuzzi outside or the pool area. For
Weeks The restrooms have been switched. Now the ladies are using the men's room and the bathrooms smell like urine. I will no longer go to this location because other locations in Northern Virginia are much nicer and worth the extra fees. I think this is just an old club with low ceilings in the pool area, smaller swimming pools and unfortunately no outdoor pools. I can say I've attended two classes there and I enjoyed them, but this club does not have the same feel as other Life Time I've been to, but then again this one is cheaper than other ones.

His positive attitude and excellent customer service truly made an impact. It's clear that Ali is not only good at his job but also makes the gym environment feel even more inviting. We have been a member of the Centreville, VA club on and off since 2010, and we appreciate being part of the community.
We sometimes work late and like to stop by the club before heading home. However, since the onset of COVID-19, the club hours have changed, and the membership fees have continued to rise. While we understand that prices may increase, we also believe we deserve to receive the value we are paying for.
Last year, we experienced over seven months of construction, and now we are facing another closure along with nearly two months of locker room modifications for men and women.
Given these ongoing facility issues, such as the pool, sauna, and shower room not being available, I would like to inquire about our options. Can we access other clubs during this time?
Additionally, is there a possibility of receiving a refund for the inconveniences we have faced?
This has been a consistent issue at Centreville club, and we feel that we are not receiving the service for which we are paying. Thank you for addressing these concerns.

I highly recommend this gym. It has been like a home to me for 3 years. I have taken Pilates with Lauren, did PT AND Pilates with Sarah and did nutrition assistance with Zach. Their GM, Rob, is great and I respect him as I even saw him picking up trash in the parking lot. All Instructors are upbeat and care. Their new pickleball courts are gorgeous!
The only bad thing I can say is that they do not prioritize their Pilates Instructor training recruitment nor Pilates member marketing. They leave so much money on the table! Pilates is a $340 Billion market and growing and they have so many platforms to advertise (app, in gym, magazine, flyers, email) that they fail to use it. Without teachers there are not a lot of classes for members and that is revenue lost.
I own a Club Pilates franchise in Burke but live in Centreville so know of the upside of "leaning in" to this trend. We use our members to recruit for teacher training and I have made over $20K in profit from the trainings that then help serve my members.

This is the first review I have ever written my entire life. I've had plenty of bad experiences with other businesses but I've always wrote it off as someone having a bad day. There's no need to hurt a businesses reputation. Not this time. I have been a member at lifetime for 20 years now and have always had a good experience until the last couple months when I started playing pickleball. Julie is one of the rudest people I have ever been around and it has happened twice now. The second time was completely unprovoked as I was just sitting on the bench drinking water when she decided to be rude. She clearly looks down on certain types of people and it's also clear that I'm not the only one who feels this way about Julie. This 0 star review is purely about Julie and not the rest of the club.

I have been a member at this location since 2003 and have never experienced or seen ineptitude in the operation of this location as what is currently happening. Repairs take a long time to complete, depriving members of a full compliment of services they paid for. The pool has been closed since September 4th of last year for renovation and was scheduled for completion in December. So far, the renovation is ongoing and at this pace, I wouldn't be surprised if it is completed by end of the year. Meanwhile, the basketball court which was closed at the same time as the pool for reconfiguration into a pickle ball court, is no where near completion either. For the amount of dues members pay, we deserve better than this.

On top of taking out the basketball court and the rock climbing wall, there’s a rude lady sitting on the new hydro massage chair for hours and wouldn’t let anyone else touch it. I waited patiently today and saw her restarting the whole thing after her session stopped. I politely asked her how much longer she has, and she said “30 minutes”. Pretty sure each session is not that long. She should pay for my overpriced membership since she’s gonna hoard that chair and take away all my joy. This place is not fun nor civilized anymore. And I agree with the other comments, the front desk guy wearing a turtleneck always seems to be in a mood.

I have been a dedicated member of this gym for 16 years, and what I've witnessed recently is nothing short of betrayal to loyal members and extreme greed as Life Time has been engaging in non-stop price gouging. My membership dues have increased from $89 in 2019 to $149 in 2023, over 67% in less than 4 years. 2.5 of those 4 years were during the pandemic.
Time and time again, Life Time chooses to take advantage of its long-standing members, displaying a complete lack of loyalty and integrity and increasing dues using meaningless buzzwords like “refreshed spaces and enhanced programming” as an excuse to maximize their margins. Moreover, they frame their messaging of due increases to loyal members as a display of “appreciation” because it’s $40 below the rate of new members. Ridiculous.
This kind of greed is simply unacceptable and anyone considering this gym should think twice before becoming a member.

I don’t know which of your planners/managers/staff decided that closing down the basketball courts and rock walls to install pickle ball courts, was a good idea. That has to be the dumbest, most boneheaded idea I’ve ever heard in my entire life.
Pickle ball is a temporary fad, and quite frankly, it’s just not that fun. Basketball and rock climbing are universally popular sports that are excellent and are here to stay. Removing basketball and rock climbing, and adding in even more pickle ball courts, is nuts.
Maybe you’re making money from pickle ball leagues- but you shouldn’t (and likely won’t) be making any more money from actual members. Hopefully the pickle ball leagues pay you good?

Lifetime Centreville has been having a sewage problem for a number of weeks now and some days you can smell it as soon as you walk in the lobby. The smell is disgusting, I try to spend as little time as possible in the locker room. They've recently increased membership prices and despite this, with all their planned renovations you won't be able to use the pool, hot tub, basketball courts or rock climbing wall (getting replaced with pickleball) for a number of months. If you're going to raise prices, shouldn't you do so once as those changes are complete, instead of charging people more for less? There are so many issues yet membership prices just go up and all the renovations just make everything unavailable.

We became a member two months ago and the reason we preferred this place there was a pool and a basketball court. We were never informed that there would be a renovation. Life Time renew all the membership first day of the month, so everyone renews their membership at the same time period. Despite this, no one was informed about the renovation beforehand. A few days after the membership was renewed, the notification came that the pool would be close. A few days after that, the basketball court was closed, and a few days later, the cardio machines... They've redirected to other locations, but the nearest distance is 30 minutes, and I don't want to go all the way. Also, the shower areas are always dirty, and employees are more interested in folding towels and completing missing materials than cleaning these areas. There are many problems in the management of this location and I think this needs to be changed. however second months we went for couple of days and we paid $193 only for 4 days!

This place is getting worse and worse. They closed their salon, seems like they don’t offer any services anymore. Their cafe only offer 2 options of smoothies, no longer any food. Their previously free events of coupled classes now cost money. And to top it off they’re removing the basketball courts and children’s camps for pickle ball??? They’ve added courts that no one is even using. All I’ve heard when I come to this gym is other members complaining about the change and how inconvenient it is now, so I know I’m one of the majority with this opinion. I’m not about to drive all the way to Reston or Gainesville to play basketball either, which is an increase in cost of membership. Do not see this change working out well for them in the long run.

The management here has become very unaccommodating to a lot loyal and long standing members. He has made the decision to remove the rock wall and both basketball courts to install 6 pickle ball courts. His response is it gives that community a better experience while not caring for the kids activities or anyone who joined the gym for basketball. What about a better experience for those groups? His solution is to go to another Lifetime locations which increases an individual's membership price or "just try pickle ball you might like it" Clearly this is all about increasing their overall profit margin with a knee jerk reaction. Like all the other responses on this site it's a canned template with no real solutions. Hoping their lack of concern for all, totally backfires and this fad of pickle ball dies sooner rather than later.

The club used to be good. It’s now older and the management doesn’t really care about all communities. Now has more of a “country club” vibe. Rob has chosen to abandon the basketball and kid’s activities communities in order in hopes of increasing membership. This was done by adding pickle ball everywhere and eliminating basketball and the rock wall. The management provided a bunch of lip service to explain his reasoning, but it’s evident they care about one thing !

Swimmers Beware (Real Swimmers :p)
All I wanted to do was go to this place and do a swim. For those of us who swim an excess of 1500 meters.. this pool is not the place. Not only is it filthy, they compensate by adding so much chlorine it burns your skin before you leave the pool. Additionally the water temperature is a bit too warm for a comfortable swim workout and is better suited for light swim or water aerobics.
Even if I was willing to deal with all that, I have never had so many people get in my lane or play around when they have a perfectly open leisure pool. The lap pool only has four lanes.. why is it so difficult for life guards or the aquatics manager to step in an ensure people who are actually doing a workout aren't being jumped on and swam over by people who are just playing around...

I used to be a member here a few years ago. Just moved back from California and wanted to join again, thank God I did a tour before joining.
They turned one of the basketball courts into a permanent pickle ball court and the other basketball court had a kids birthday party going on.
What a freaking disturbing joke!! Who in their right mind replaces a gym basketball court with pickle ball!! And what do you do when you want to play basketball and there is a kids party about to start? I saw that first hand today, the gym staff asked the gentlemen to stop playing basketball and leave the court so they can setup for a kids birthday party.
So, I guess pickle ball is more important because that side of the court was able to remain functional.
This gym is a joke, what a fall from grace. It is a child’s playground full of teens and kids, and apparently pickle ball players! Smh.
I’ll gladly take my money elsewhere!

I stopped by this LT location with my baby girl today. I met Jin as my consultant and Abby at the front desk. Both were very nice; Abby was so caring and Jin showed me around all facilities thoroughly along with the childcare zone. My experience here was great! My girl who has never stayed away from me was okay with the teachers in the infant zone. I still have a concern about the facility hygiene as my girl is little. But I assume it would be fine for an hour or so. BTW the workout instructor upstairs seemed very powerful during my stay; felt like I was in his class and sweat out together though I was in downstairs with Jin haha

I'm very disappointed because my ALPHA trainer got unfairly fired from the Centreville location. The new manager is very rude and disrespectful, specially to Solo, I feel that he just had something personal against him. Solo has been my ALPHA trainer for the past 2 years. Meeting Solo has been a life-changing experience for me, he is an amazing trainer that really and genially cares about members. Of course, Lifetime manager doesn't care and still wants to charge me another month for both ALPHA an membership, even when I requested a cancelation.

I returned to the Centreville location after about 10 years of being away. I KNEW that this place offered AMAZING group training classes. The group offerings have only become more enhanced.
What makes or breaks training are the trainers. A baffling executive decision was made to terminate an excellent group trainer named Salomon. In fact, Salomon (aka Solo) was the ONLY ALPHA group trainer. Solo is an energetic and effective trainer. He even offered 5:30 AM classes for customers to fit their schedules. Then, one day, I was told that he no longer worked there. No explanation. He worked there almost 6 years.
The concerns of customers evidently are of no consequence to the current general manager, Mr. Robbie Love. His response is that we are free to cancel our membership. He has even offered to immediately close membership accounts and offer refunds.
Now, that is AWESOME news to my ears. Mr. Love, I'd also like a refund, since I too disagree with the decision to terminate a most effective trainer. Clearly, neither my membership nor my money is any good to Lifetime Fitness Centreville at this time.
The campus is still AMAZING, despite the multiple changes in general managers in the past few months. Like trainers, MANAGEMENT can make or break a facility as well. And if this dismissive attitude continues in such a gorgeous facility, then clearly that is the true intent and purpose of said facility.
I'm grateful that there are other options. Thanks in advance for the refund, Mr. Love, because it certainly can help assist as I explore those other options.

I CANCELLED MY MEMBERSHIP!
They fired my favorite instructor, Solo, for personal issues not his work ethic. ALPHA used to be a very fun class and the instructor was the main motivator for attending his awesome class. New manager was rude and would constantly stalk this class, popping in and randomly vacuuming near us, some of the worst micromanaging I’ve seen.
When the new management started last year, he began cancelling all Alpha classes on Sunday without notice. He informed us at 9am that Sunday, when we all showed up as a group, that if we wanted to keep going to this class, it would be a new fee of $30 additional each class and turned to Solo and rudely said “ Unless you want to do it for free”. He said this in front of all the class. It was a disrespectful thing to witness and showed lack of respect to his employees and to its guest.
I’ve been going to this gym for years and management has gone downhill. Your complaints go unheard and I’m just fed up and cancelled my membership. Join somewhere else, this place isn’t what it use to be.

FYI
The solo cuisine situation in my opinion was just an excuse to fire him. Why?
There had been several Alpha competitions at Lifetime Fitness Centrville, and Solo shared his food after these events Solo’s food was shared in front of everyone. That wasn't a secret. Not to mention that the studio manager himself picked up a plate of Solo's food from the second floor and took the food to the basketball courts, and shared it during the group event. So if it is in fact that big of a deal, then why did the studio manager participate in sharing Solo’s food.
They just picked on this young man and waited for him to sneeze and ran with it.
In addition, the current GM mentioned during a discussion in reference to removing the Alpha Sunday conditioning class; he the GM asked six paying lifetime customers to go down stairs with him to cancel their gym membership. Why would a Manager have a total disregard and lack of respect for paying customers. Some of these paying customers including myself have been with Lifetime for at least 16 years. He should have said to these paying customers that removing the Sunday conditioning class is completely out of my control and I truly understand your concerns, but unfortunately that was not said. He should retake the management 101 course.

I meant to give 0 but couldn't. I started coming to this gym because of awesome instructors. Recently I realized they let go of instructors based on personal issues rather than performance. This type of leadership will bring this gym down soon since it will create a dictatorial environment. Decisions like letting go of a trainer should be signed off by upper management with a proper justification. This seems to be beginning of the end.

I upgraded to a Signature membership specifically because of Solomon. Solomon has been a professional, exceptional and motivational, trainer who has grown the “Alpha base”. Over the course of being in his class, I have seen other members upgrade to signature also specifically because of him, and I attribute this to his exceptional performance and coaching skills. It was a huge shock when I was notified he is no longer with Lifetime. How or why did management fire a high performing instructor who has ultimately contributed to the bottom line of the gym and is also great with the members? I am very disappointed in this decision and I along with other members have since downgraded back to standard membership, while others have decided to take their fitness journey elsewhere. I believe Solomon’s departure is a huge loss for Lifetime centreville.

I started coming back to Life Time towards the end of December and it has been a really great experience. The yoga classes are challenging but it has been allowing me to slowly regain strength and endurance regarding my posture and core. With this said, there are plenty of wonderful services and equipment that members can use to their liking.
However, the greatest part of my experience has been meeting a receptionist named Abby Fallon. She has done more than a typical five-star employee. I walked back into Life Time wanting to make a change in my physical health after having a hefty car accident back in the summer. She immediately got me in contact with a Pilates instructor for a session due to my interests for my body and it was a very easy process. I wanted to highlight that she is more than an employee. Abby is always checking in on my physical and mental health after each day and it shows she truly cares about each person she meets. This type of person is not someone you encounter on a daily basis and Life Time is very lucky to have her. I personally consider her as a female mentor/role model who I can look up to (I am younger than her) and a friend. Abby is more of a friend than some of my other family members and friends. I am so happy to have met her and I hope she continues to thrive because her passion for her job is above and beyond.

I have been a member at lifetime for over a year now and I do not feel like a valued member. I brought up the issue that the sauna is extremely unsanitary. They raised the membership price due to Covid and extra cleaning measures but I looked down in the sauna and saw that cleaning was NOT a priority. After talking to the front desk multiple times and sending 2 emails to management in January 2022, I received my first email back from management in February 2022. They “closed” the sauna for a deep cleaning but I checked again in March and saw that underneath the boards, the brown dirt and mold was still there. I contacted lifetime again in the April for an update on the cleaning and no response from their team. I messaged lifetime on Instagram in hopes they’d take my concern more seriously and they just said management will reach out to me. I emailed back asking to schedule a phone call, still no response. I received an email in October being thanked for being a “valued member” but they have to raise the price AGAIN. I have attached another photo from OCTOBER 2022. 8 months later, the sauna looks even more disgusting. Why is lifetime raising their membership prices every few months if they don’t listen to their members on the concerns of the facility and continue to claim that we are valued members? I received an email back from management saying they will try to come up with a game plan to clean the sauna by the end of the week. A game plan that should’ve been implemented in January 2022 when I first brought up the issue.

Definitely worth paying for if you will be frequently using all what they offer. For those who don't read my whole review, I would still consider going to multiple locations of Lifetime 👍🏼 I love what they promote with a healthier lifestyle and it's a very nice upscale club with it's classes and training.
On that note . . . .
I have mixed feelings on this particular LifeTime because I also used to work here. For me, it was definitely better a year ago with staff, members, training and experience in general. I would have given five stars at that point. Going this year, for me...it's TOO MUCH for many of the employee's I've talked to, pressure from management and then the other members also I've talked to know it's not the same...they also miss what lifetime was. It's not the warm environment and it's more like "get in and get out" and more about making the money. It's already a challenge for most people eating healthier foods, family life, work driving with gas more expensive. It's getting harder for so many people I have spent close to $250-$300 in ONE MONTH just on LifeTime. It's unfortunate that people have to spend this much to have a healthier life.

Love this gym! Been coming here for around 3 years now. Wide spacious area, high quality equipment along with excellent staff make signing up for a membership here a no brainer!

I have been a member off and on for 10 years. I just upgraded my membership so I could take Alpha classes with trainer Solomon. My family and I look forward to going to lifetime everyday!

Upon joining, I ignored the ratings and decided to judge on my own. I have always been in a gym the last was Planet Fitness…it was cheap and I thought oh I know my machines I’ll be fine it was a nightmare. Machines are broken and staff is rude and you get what you pay for…was a member of Lifetime in Columbia MD ten years ago and before that the Columbia Association and before that Golds and before that LA Fitness…and many more..I have been working out since I was 20 in a gym I’m 53 now and I have been through the whole gym life…I give 5 stars to this location. It is clean and the staff is always around if you need something…towels are left around at times or wipes but not often .. it is the responsibility of the person that works out to pick up after themselves it’s considered gym etiquette. The members all have respect for one another I have noticed… we all just work out and no one has time to sit on a machine and look at their phone….if you want a place to lift and exercise this is one of the best gyms I have ever been a part of…

These people are the worst! Even with a Dr. Note (that they requested from me) stating my injury, they refuse to refund me for the time stated in the note and choose to refund me according to their preference even though they just requested a Dr note to be able to process the refund, they went back in their word with the lady over the phone giving reasons not related to each other as of why they chose this month and not the start of my injury and still didn’t refund me based off of the dr note and keeping the money to themselves even though I couldn’t use the gym because of my injury!!! I can’t believe it, not refunding me after what I’ve sent them just proves they don’t care about their members but rather about their money which they didn’t have any right in keeping!! Cancelling my membership is the right decision I took and there’s no going back to them at all! So sad about this experience!!! Will never recommend them to anyone!

Every time my friends and I walk in we’re greeted by Zach with a huge smile. He’s become our favorite employee due to his big personality. Love seeing him! The staff itself is also great. This location will always be a favorite

Jake, the personal training Department head at Centreville, VA Lifetime really doesn't like it when friends train/workout together!! So friends training with friends, dads training with kids, boyfriends training with girlfriends or whatever....be careful he will get corporate to cancel your membership!
