I have to admit that I was initially skeptical. With a few injuries and unrelated surgeries over the past couple of years, I was out of shape and wanting to begin a new fitness routine. Fearful and vulnerable to re-injury, I had been searching for a training program that could help me without aggravating my pre-existing injuries or pain.

Since beginning the program, I have increased muscle and regained my strength. I feel more agile, balanced, and confident. I have less joint and back pain than I have had in years. The added strength in my legs has helped to take the pressure off my knee joints and reduce the pain considerably.

I mostly train with Maddelene, but have done so with many other trainers and each of them has been really great. They are motivational and enthusiastic, encouraging without being pushy, kind, and always make me feel rewarded. Also, they regularly participate in continuing education programs to improve themselves, and to stay on top of what's happening in the industry.

I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to start a fitness routine, or to build upon what they are already doing.

The program is amazing!! It changes your energy, I started with the 8-session challenge and decided to continue with the triple 8. I don't think I'll be leaving the program. At my age, it has been tougher to have the motivation to get back into fitness. I discovered Personal 20 a year ago (thanks, Carmen), I have been constantly focused on fitness and wellness. The exercises are great for me, thanks to little to on impact on joints. All of the trainers are great and will keep you going during your sessions. I highly Personal 20 for a jump-start into fitness, or to be included in your current fitness routine.

Update: Personal 20 is still my go-to for low impact high-intensity works, especially now that arthritic conditions have set in. The trainings modifies exercise to help maintain comfortable but effective movements.

It’s been a Godsend for my ability to keep exercising while I was waiting for partial knee replacement. I have EDS (a hyper mobility disorder that causes chronic pain and instability) and it’s been very challenging for me to find a workout that I can tolerate without hurting myself and still see real results - which is exactly what P20 provides! I have been going to P20 for about 4 years, since before COVID times. I'm 56 years old, and this is the first formal exercise program I've ever stuck to because I usually find exercise boring and unpleasant. Although my weight is good for my height, after turning 50 I wanted to work on heart and lung health, so I needed to do something more vigorous than walking. I have asthma and had my lung capacity measured at NIH about 4-5 years ago, then when I went last year, my lung capacity had gone UP, not down as it might with asthma or age. They asked me if I had done any lifestyle changes like an exercise program, and joining P20 is the only thing I had done differently in that time! I At P20, I get individualized training, and more important, since I already have it scheduled, I can't make excuses to myself about how I'm tired, too busy, will go later, etc. Plus I don't want to let down my trainer! The trainers are all friendly and funny and they make it fun. They care about us as people, and often ask about things going on in our lives that they remember us talking about. They kick my butt, in a good way, so I'm always pushed to the edge of my endurance. Being with a trainer makes me encouraged to try my best! But it's not hours of exercise and it's easy to fit into my schedule. As a bonus, I never get overheated because the suit is nice and cool.

I joined "P20" four months ago, and have had a terrific experience. All the trainers are encouraging, knowledgeable, and fun to work with.

I have done strength training for 35 years, and have had various injuries over the years. Thanks to the low-impact nature of the P20 exercises, I am having no such issues. However, don't confuse "low-impact" with "low benefit". The nature of EMS is such that I'm getting my most effective workouts ever. Even after four months, I'm still feeling (good) soreness after most workouts, indicating that I'm continuing to realize gains.

Speaking of gains, not only have I gained strength, but, combined with dietary changes, I have lost 20 lbs.

I cannot recommend P20 highly enough for anyone who wants to improve strength, balance, and overall fitness. Thanks, P20!

I work in food safety and occasionally have to lift heavy bags and boxes of ingredients, I was having trouble lifting boxes and have never had that issue before. This prompted me to search for a fitness boot camp or something near me. I got interested in EMS training years ago but I never thought it would become available to me, but I found this location in Herndon near my job. I gave it a go and it’s been about three months now. I can lift and lower heavy things, at work and at home, easily now. I have gotten better at lunges and push-ups then I’ve been in my whole life. You don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone.
The suit is a game changer; it helps boost all your contractions so your muscles are challenged even with the smallest movements and every workout has me sore like I’ve been in the gym for hours at max weights.
Every trainer is welcoming and kind, they are all excited to be there and are willing to work with you. They appreciate tenacity and eagerness, and I look forward to coming here twice a week.

I feel my core getting stronger after each workout.

All the trainers have been very friendly, outgoing, patient and encouraging.
They take interest in you. How your day is going, what you like to do, etc.

If you have an old injury, like I have (rotator cuff tear), they can work around it.

I recommend giving it a try.

I’ve been training with personal 20 for few months now and I am definitely seeing results! I have never properly worked out before so this was a great way to start my exercise journey. I am a person who likes to work out regularly, but recent back issues have limited my ability to have a full, robust workout. Recently my colleagues started going to Personal20 – a company utilizing electric muscle stimulation to enhance one’s exercise experience. At first, I was skeptical. It is a very safe place to workout during Covid as the coaches wear a mask and there is just one other person working out which is more than 6 feet apart. Saves you time! This is an amazing full workout that you have to try for yourself. I was skeptical at first but it really does give you an intense workout in half the time. I really like how gentle the exercises were while at the same time, how much my muscles were getting worked. I tend to get injured easily & it tends to derail me from being able to do anything but the most gentle types of exercise. This usually keeps my muscles from really building up. I’ve been training at Personal20 Herndon since August and I’ve been feeling an improvement from the sessions. After experiencing a niggling lower back pain for a month (due to strenuous weightlifting) and visiting some chiropractors, i went in for their recovery and pain relief session. In the days that followed, i noticed small but significant improvements on mobility and my range of motion.

When I hit the big 5-0, I decided to focus on my health and fitness. I’m so grateful to have found P20 because it is a program that I’ve found sustainable for over 2 1/2 years. Past attempts at fitness have faltered after the initial intro period and after I achieved my goal; I would then revert to lazy and bad habits. I have had a wonderful experience with Personal 20. Exercising is not exactly my favorite thing and what attracted me to Personal 20 is the “20”. I thought that it would be great not having to do long workouts. I got a lot more than I asked for: a great personalized workout and a group of wonderful trainers who have become like family. What more, as a diabetic, I have been constantly monitoring my sugars and see a clear drop when I work out here. This is one routine I plan to stick to. Highly recommend it.

After my knee surgery, I was limited in what I could do... We had planned a life time dream vacation of hiking and glacier trekking in Patagonia over the holidays. I've gone to P20 almost since it started. In my opinion, this is one of the best ways to get and stay in shape, to add muscle, and get a good strength workout without the risks that come from using heavy weights. There are huge benefits from constantly having a trainer to make sure that all the exercises are done properly. The need to schedule sessions in advance also helps to ensure that you will go regularly. I strongly recommend that everyone give it a try. The EMS program really works!

Personal 20's been great for me. I am my own toughest critic. Even though friends and colleagues tell me I look great, I don’t share their opinion. Even when I lose weight, I feel like I need to lose more. Also, I am so busy with work and family, I literally do not have time to spend an hour at the gym. Finally, I am a healthy eater who also engages in intermittent fasting, so it is not like a change in diet would be the solution. These factors left me resigned to the idea that I would not be able to meet my fitness goals. That was until I discovered Personal20 and transformed my exercise routine.
I learned about Personal20 through my colleagues, and I saw that they were achieving great results, so I asked them about it. At first, I could not believe that I could lose weight, become stronger, and look more toned through a simple 20-minute session. And I certainly did not think that stimulating my muscles electronically would do the trick. But I did an initial 20-minute trial, and then a three-session trial pack, and I was hooked.
My Personal20 trainer did an excellent job of identifying my goals and setting a plan to achieve those goals. Because I was looking for quicker weight loss, I opted for the Endurance program that is more cardio-based than the other programs, but it is still has a significant strength training component. And I started to see results quickly. First came improved body tone, then strength, and finally, the weight loss I have been coveting. I have lost over ten pounds since I started.
Now when family, friends, and colleagues tell me I look great, I can let myself agree with them. And the Personal20 staff provides advice for me to follow beyond the 20-minute session so I can sustain and build upon these great results. I am a tough consumer when it comes to goods and services, and I expect to see significant results quickly. Personal20 delivered and continues to deliver for me.

This training gets results. Great full-body workout in 20 minutes for anyone at any fitness level. Especially great for very fit individuals who may have reached a plateau in the gym doing their normal routine; P20 will leave you sore for days leading to further gains you never thought you could reach! The trainers at P20 are great at tailoring your workout experience to meet whatever needs you have as well, whether it be building strength, increasing muscular endurance, or just overall getting into shape. The workouts are inherently low impact due to the technology used, so there is virtually no risk to injury compared to using conventional gym equipment and movements.

The staff at Personal20 are very knowledgeable and fun to work with. I usually go after a long day of work and the trainers here do a really good job of being engaged and helping you push yourself to the limits.

The workouts are switched up weekly to keep things feeling fresh and challenging. I primarily train with Christophe who has been an awesome source of information as far as nutritional advice and workout advice specific to my body type and how I can reach my personal goals both effectively and safely. He will set small but efficient goals to prevent you from burning out and getting frustrated.

I highly recommend giving it a try for anyone who doesn't have a lot of experience in the gym and looking to ease their way into a workout routine.

I am a person with very bad arthritis in my joints. I also have a sit down all day kind of job. I was looking for a way to regain some upper body strength without injuring my joints.

I have just started my 5th week. I have had no issues with my joints and my strength is getting better. Interestingly enough, I have also improved my balance.

This workout is really good. The trainers are fantastic. I have had the pleasure of training with most of them.

I say that if you are thinking about doing this, go for it. Do the 3 day trial. You are going to find that it is a great workout with no issues on your joints.

Everything! First, the workout is very challenging; you truly are pushed to a healthy limit. Second, the program design varies significantly each week, so you will never be bored with a repetitive workout, nor will your muscles become accustomed to a particular routine. The variety also helps to keep you motivated. Third, the instructors are first rate, always ensuring that you are properly aligned and careful to prevent injuries. Christophe, my personal trainer, is extremely careful in how he chooses to modify an exercise specific to my needs. ed my tailbone and stressed my lumbar. It affected all the muscles around the low back area. Instead of the normal workout, my trainer suggested that I do a 20 minute recovery with the electrical stimulation. I honestly think my recovery has been shorter with this option. I haven’t been slowed down a bit and having similar injuries in the past that have taken much longer to heal, I fully believe the P 20 recovery has been instrumental in my quick recovery.
Lastly, I have always been into fitness-obsessively so. I am going back to school as a 48-year-old adult and am so relieved that I don’t have to worry about how many hours/ week I exercise. I now do two P20 Workouts each week and two spinning classes per week and am in the best shape I’ve ever been in. This is definitely the way to go!

Yesterday I finally entered the realm of Personal20. I had always been curious about it since they set up shop at the entrance of my local gym. But curiosity generally needs prodding to translate into action and that came from my Wellness guru, Carmen Ruiz, and a sweetheart Black Friday deal.

I am generally nervous starting a new exercise regime, and since this one involved electrical muscle stimulation the nervousness bordered on apprehension. But rather than throw you into the deep end of the pool, the Personal20 staff, in this case the aforementioned Carmen Ruiz, ease you into the experience. And quite an experience it is. I had to change from my sporty gym outfit into this clingy top and capri-esque pants. Then I am fitted with a vest and “shorts” permeated with electrical connections. Oh, and did I mention that the vest and shorts have to be “wetted” prior to wearing.

Now fully outfitted, I am hooked up to the machine. We commence with a warm up that seemed like a full workout in and of itself. Then we embark on a tour of muscle groups – legs, glutes, biceps, triceps – needless to say I was soon regretting the amount of muscle groups my body had. The electrical stimulation is tied to what you can endure, but even at the lowest levels you can feel something going on in your body. Carmen kept asking where I was feeling it but I was feeling it in so many places I could not differentiate.

20 minutes later (I presume it was 20 minutes because I lost all sense of time), I am done. I felt like I had endured an hour-long workout. I had done one hour of Body Pump in the morning and I felt this even more. Soreness quickly spread through my body, but it was the type of soreness that you know evidences good things in your body. I woke up this morning and the soreness was replaced with the sensation of meeting muscles in my body that I did not know existed.

So now that the threshold of the unknown has been cleared, I look forward to my next session even though I know that the kid gloves will be off, and the challenge will continue to grow especially given the intensity of my trainer. But I know great results are achievable along this journey.
