The Planet Fitness website carefully hides any mention of the $49 yearly fee on their enrolment page. I joined in January for my wife and myself. I paid a "one time" enrollment fee plus the monthly fee for both of us. On March 3, 2025, I saw two $49 charges on my checking account. I received no prior email warning this charge would be put through. As a result, a scheduled payment for another bill had insufficient funds. After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, they refused to issue a refund because somewhere buried in fine print on their webpage is the yearly fee, (according to them. I looked and still couldn't find it.) I'm a U.S. Navy veteran, a health care worker, and a father of a 17-year-old, struggling to make ends meet, and don't appreciate being taken advantage of through deceptive business practices.

I haven't been back here in a while. I use to work at the hospital and come work out when I got off at 7pm in my scrubs. A black girl with her hair in two buns and a little light skin boy with curly hair was behind the counter. The boy told me that the girl made a comment about me why I was wearing a wrap with a bonnet. I don’t know either of them. I responded it’s 11pm who ever is worried needs to go get some sleep. She walked off and said “ I’m going to just keep walking” (I was protecting my hair by the way I had just got it done) but as a plus size person I already feel a little uneasy in these places and that was unnecessary. I never went back. Please take those big no judgment signs down your employees are very judgmental.

How an older woman can be verbally and ALMOST PHYSICALLY assaulted at this gym, by kindly asking someone who has been on their phone and talking for 10 minutes in the 30 minute circuit area, and the staff did nothing after being informed except stood by the people watching for a minute.Was asked to check the cameras too! Yet if you drop your weights too loud you’re banned? When I come to visit my mother I WILL be coming in and speaking with a manager. I used this gym and quickly switched to Golds, was not impressed with the staff or the people they allow in that facility for social hour. Not even worth the cheap membership!!

Incredible place, heard a lot of lies about planet fitness as a person who’s been in the industry for almost 2 years, but this place was clean, neat, and had everything you needed to train any muscle.
The machines are good, they have cables, and dumbbells ranging until 100 I believe, no free weights but a load of smith machines.
Overall this is a great gym.

I cancel them with a note and they are still running up my bill the highest, they allready stole 40 bucks from me when i wasnt wven there..I had a surgery and was in pain for about a year the gym , didn't believe me and keep running up a bill ,ill never pay for something i dont get ,by the time they done chargeing me it be way higher. I haven't been to the gym in over a year and they just keep charging me even after writing a note to cancel , they will over charge you for a year with many Extra fees !!. One of the staff told me to get a note to prove it. Okay then we can call them because i dont drive and have a Disability. .the manager there acts like he works for a teenager boot camp . If you have a problem, he doesn't care. All that matters you signed a scam .first place they stop being 24 hours so your gym broke the deal .I don't know how gyms are able to get away with this and do this to people that have Disabilities. You shouldn't have to sign anything to join.. peoples life change and bad stuff happens but they are they take a Advantage of people. Are government should have a law against this . Well i just joined this gym less than a week ago, both visits while everyone is friendly and place is clean, i like taking hot showers def not ICE COLD ones!!! Both my visits here right after joining there has not been ANY HOT WATER!! I find that insane being its a fitness center!! About a 50/50 shot at getting attitude from one of the employees for anything you ask them. Attempted to help pickup a shoulder pad I thought was left behind by someone else and the employee at the front gave me attitude and told me to bring it back. Do I work for you? It sucks I don’t have another option at a gym for less than $80 or I would go there. Maybe that is why PF is so cheap because they can’t hire decent staff. The manager that just left, Sam, was great. You should hire more people like him and less attitude.

Cut my lock because a previous member allegedly left their keys in my locker, l club left my belongings unattended, no one reached out to ask permission while I was one the property for an hour. Canceled my membership because I was angry no one reached out. Membership fees are for use of the facilities, when members are on the property YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO DAMAGE MY PROPERTY, enter my locker without permission,replacing the lock do not "fix" the problem.

This place does not have everything but it is cheap and you can get a good workout in. The issue lies with none of the rules they have posted EVER being enforced. There were high-school kids running on the treadmills with no shoes. The basically play tag in the weight lifting area, and they do not wipe down equipment. The staff there just stands at the desk and chats. Today I saw the staff member watching Stranger Things on the company computer. It gets 2 stars for that reason.

The only thing I would change is some form of child care. The other day I came in to exercise, but I had my 8 year old daughter with me because I could not find care for her during the time that suited me. It would be nice if there was some way she could be allowed in the facility with me or have somewhere she could go for at least an hour (less if necessary). Other than that I LOVE Planet Fitness. I love the calisthenics area. It’s perfect for my entire workout. I’m able to do my pull-ups, push-ups, dips, and handstand practice all with the best equipment. When I joined this gym it was new and served it’s purpose but lately it’s been difficult to get my workout on. Lots of kids, talking and not working out. Also it seems other members do not understand gym etiquette! There have been many instances where I was using equipment and it will be taken by someone not paying attention I’m the middle of my set. The open concept also feels like you are display. I found myself dreading my workouts. Joined a new gym down the street and things are going great!!!
