Let me tell you what happened today—this gym employee is full of drama. I went in to use the massage chair, and there was a white man standing and talking to the manager. I scanned my barcode and asked her if I could use massage chair number 2 because chair number 1 hasn’t been working properly. Then, a Black employee—the one with short hair and a bodybuilder rolled his eyes at the white man then a white man said he wanted chair number 2. Of course, the manager gave it to him first, probably because they know each other. I waited, but I couldn’t stay much longer, so I ended up using chair number 1. That employee has a bad attitude, but I’ve never seen any bad behavior from the manager before. She’s usually respectful, so I’m not sure why she acted that way today.

Outstanding Experience at Planet Fitness!

I’ve been to several gyms over the years, but none compare to the positive, welcoming environment at this Planet Fitness location. The facility is always clean, well-maintained, and stocked with everything I need for a great workout—whether it’s cardio, weights, or stretching.

What truly sets this location apart, though, is the staff. Donna, the General Manager, is phenomenal. She’s friendly, professional, and goes above and beyond to ensure members feel valued and comfortable. Her leadership is evident in how smoothly everything runs.

Maria, the Assistant Manager, is equally impressive. She brings warmth, energy, and attention to detail that makes every visit enjoyable. Both Donna and Maria are not just employees—they’re the heart of the gym. Their dedication and positive attitude create an atmosphere that motivates and inspires.

Planet Fitness is lucky to have such outstanding team members. They’re a true asset to the company and a big reason I keep coming back. Highly recommend !!!

I use the 4 corners of the gym (30 min express, no trainer zone, the squat racks and massage bed & chair).
Huge fan of the vibes and equipment of course.

Be aware that in order to cancel your membership you MUST do it in person or send a certified letter and wait for a response. Which is ironic because you are basically required to use the app to set up your account, billing, and access to the gym in general. Everything BUT cancelation. I moved and had to drive 45 minutes to cancel in person and then I was question my reasoning for cancellation. On top told that I was told on the phone before I came the billing cycle starts on the 10th so to come on or before that to avoid being billed for the next month. I came on the 10th, AFTER the desk worker canceled my account and I had a confirmation emails, she informed me that I would still be required to pay for the next month because the 10th is actually considered the new month. If I refused to pay she told me I would continue to be billed indefinitely even though my membership was already cancel. She told me this is Planet fitness policy and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

Additionally, I visited many Planet Fitness locations during my membership. This location has the most dated and worn equipment I ever saw. They legitimately only have 4 or 5 yoga/stretch mats to be used, the cleanliness is sub standard compared to other locations, and the desk employees act un interested to be there whereas every other location I ever went to they were friendly and welcoming, always said hello and goodbye.

There are a lot of gyms in Fredericksburg, I would avoid this one.
