Love the gym. It’s always clean! Employees even walk around wiping equipment down and sanitizing the floors all day long. The new manager always helps with my account questions. I really miss the manager that left in December to join chiropractic practice but, the new manager is good too! I’ve never gotten sick here compared to the other planet fitnesses in the area because of the cleanliness. It has all the equipment you could want & it’s rare you have to wait on someone else to use equipment. Hopefully they get the “beauty red light therapy with vibration plate” in the next few years.

The Orange Ave PF has such a welcoming atmosphere. The staff really do put in 100% into their work. They make sure to acknowledge every member and engage with them, even if its just to say "Hello." I'm always seeing someone walking around cleaning, putting up equipment or weights, making sure each cleaning station is stocked. And Lyndze (Sorry if I got the spelling wrong) has done an astronomical, fantastic job as the driving force for this atmosphere and staff. Well done!! Will be seeing you guys soon. 😀

The Orange ave location is always clean and looks good. I’ve seen people who vacuum and clean the bathrooms but Sunday I saw one employee who’s name tag said Nakuita who was taking her time and cleaning the machines beside the one I was using very thoroughly.

Lyndzie, one of the managers, came to the treadmill where I was about to start my workout to tell me my membership didn’t work in this location. I asked to upgrade to black so I could continue my workout and she said she couldn’t help with that on her end. She talked over me several times and was quick to repeat information instead of staying goal-directed. It felt like her goal was to stick to her small box of solutions over helping the customer in front of her. Her only solutions were to back to your home PF and cancel with them or upgrade or pay to work out here. No 1st time grace. She said I couldn’t upgrade over the phone. I called and my home PF upgraded me over the phone. It took 4 minutes. Lyndzie, put people first. Did you not see that I am new to PF? How many customers have you upset before me?

The other planet fitness in Roanoke, In Towers shopping center, SUCKS.

This planet fitness attracts alot of the homeless population. The showers is the number one reason why they sign up. I'm not judging. Everyone deserves a nice hot shower but I think the general public needs to be aware of this on going situation.

They have more cardio equipment than weight machines, but there are far more people using the machines, so you frequently have to wait, while most of the cardio goes unused. The locations in my area are all owned by the same person, and don't offer all the perks that you are supposed to get with the black card membership. They removed the full body enhancement machine and don't offer any classes except the orientation and 30 min circuit training.

Orange Ave planet fitness is an absolute amazing gym to work out at. I always look forward to going even after a tough days work. I’m always greeted with smiles and it’s very welcoming. My first day going in I was greeted by the assistant manager Taylor and she gave me an awesome tour. I look forward to going every evening!

I’m a black card member because I drive a truck over the road to different cities and states. This PF in Roanoke on Orange Ave is one of the best. It’s very clean in the gym area and in the bathroom. The other members were courteous and the staff was cool too. The area where it’s located seems fairly safe and not a bad neighborhood.

I just moved to the area and needed a new home gym so I went in to get my account transferred. Well, it turned out to be a whole debacle but HUGE shoutout to Cassi, Dez, and Maddie for not only helping me out and taking the time to get me all situated, but being kind and accommodating. I have been a member of Planet Fitness for years and have been to quite a few of their locations but this PF was by far the best I’ve been to. Starting off, it’s the cleanest location I’ve been to and didn’t have that “gym” smell. Next I’d like to talk about how personable the staff is. I had forgotten to update my card info and they were more than happy to fix it for me. Not to mention they greeted me and told me to have a nice day when I left. And lastly, the manager(I think her name was Dez?) helped me locate my phone that I had laid down and walked off without. I searched all over and didn’t realize it had slid off into the floor. After about 15 minutes of searching, she finally found it!! Super appreciative of her to go out of her way like that! Great manager and staff! Again, best PF EVER.

My son had an issue with the Orange Ave location. Not only did they take $186 AFTER his wife cancelled MONTHS AGO, but after he complained, THEY MALICIOUSLY TOOK AN ADDITIONAL $25. The so-called manager, Teresa, is EXTREMELY RUDE. When I tried to call & settle the matter, she rudely interrupted me & hung up on me. I tried NUMEROUS TIMES to call back to get a resolution, only to be hung up on REPEATEDLY BY OTHER RUDE EMPLOYEES & finally told I was harassing them. IT ISN'T HARASSMENT WHEN YOU'RE TRYING TO RESOLVE AN ISSUE. CORPORATE HAS BEEN CONTACTED ABOUT THIS INCIDENT. I HOPE THAT LOCATION GETS SHUT DOWN

I am from DC area but have used PF in VA,, Texas and a few other places including Roanoke, Texas outside Ft Worth.

Showers at Vinton do not compare well with other locations. Public information not good at Vinton

Vinton the only location where I was victim of thefts.

Wish I could give a higher score but schedule important to me as I visit son and family in Vinton so do not use this club regularly.

I opened an account because my kids got the summer pass. I paid for one month. My annual fee was due in July. I asked specifically when I was about to go on a two week vacation if I should cancel my membership before I left or not because once the kids stopped the summer program it would be cheaper to pay for a family plan at another gym. I was told as long as I cancelled the membership before the 10th of the month, there would be no fees. I asked it twice even stating the annual fee specifically. On the third I was charged the annual fee of $40. I called to get the charge removed and cancel my membership and the manager Desiree Arnold of the Orange Ave Roanoke, VA facility said she was sorry I was told wrong, but it’s in the contract and therefore would not be refunded. I was to be reassured that they would further train people so it wouldn’t happen to someone else. Now that is poor managing by my standards and I can say I will never step foot in a company that does not stand behind their customer after an employee told them wrong.

Good place to workout!, no real flat benches, and dumbells only go to 75lbs, but other than that good machines. Parking lot is usually packed and the cell phone store has a problem when you park in front of them although it is literally right beside planet fitness. 🤷‍♂️ if you drive a full size truck I recommend you park farther back in the old walmart lot.
